“Have been traveling to Portland for work and have been there five times now in the past few months. Every time, we go to Bistro Elysium either once or twice a week for lunch, so that shows you how much we like it. I normally get the Black​ Oil Tonkotsu Ramen, which is awesome, really good. I also tried the Pad Thai once, which was good, not great. A bit too much sauce for me. And then one other time, I got the fried rice with a soy sauce egg in it and that was really good. But, if you're looking for a good ramen, the black oil tonkotsu is a good one to get.

“What a gem of a coffee shop!! We are so glad we tucked in for a cup of coffee. The coffee is delicious and the latte art is so cute. The desserts were the perfect sweet treat for a rainy Saturday afternoon. The shop carries so many darling items, many are perfect for cat lovers. We will definitely be back!!“

“We were looking for late night ears after a concert on a weekday. They were open until midnight, that was all we needed to know. We ordered chicken fried rice, cucumber salad, corn, shrimp skewers, pork belly skewers and the bacon and enoki mushroom skewers. The spice blend on the table (not the spicy one) is MAGIC! It was delicious in everything! We loved the flavors of everything. The skewers had the perfect amount of char without tasting burned. The fried rice was so fresh, some of the best I've had. The cucumber salad was perfectly seasoned and tasted amazing with a bite of that pork belly. I will definitely return for another meal, there are so many more things I want to try.“

“Nudi Noodle Place was an amazing stop for someone who’s visiting from out of town. My girlfriend and I were greeted by a very friendly server named Tu, they made sure to make us feel welcomed and included. The menu has an amazing variety of delicious options, we started with a crab rangoon - which uses real Dungeness crab meat, my girlfriend got the boat noodle and I got the miso ramen - both of which which were incredible. We ended our meal off with a mango sticky rice and a raspberry and mexican mole crème brûlée, both of which were divine. I highly recommend this meal to anyone who enjoys food.“

“Comfort food. Flavor bombs in every bite. Growing up as a kid it was always a disappointment going to a restaurant and the food isnt as good as what you get at home when your Asian. This place is like going home to my dad cooking dinner or visiting an auntie who says i love you by making all your favorite foods. Staff is friendly. Bathroom is always clean.“

“I've tried several other places around Portland for bahn mi, and while they've all been satisfying, these ones are legitimately the best I've had.

The ingredients are all so flavorful (I got the grilled lemongrass pork and the chili momi, highly recommend!) But they also fill the sandwiches very well. I was stuffed after having the Super Combo.

The staff were friendly, the food is delicious, service was quick, prices reasonable. I will absolutely be back!

FWIW, I went at 4pm on a Thursday. Traffic was getting heavy, but parking was plentiful. I would suffer the traffic for this place again.“

“I’m 33 and I have been coming here since I was in high school (St. Mary’s alums will understand), and the owner always recognizes me and still remembers my order to this day even though I have gone months and even years in between visits sometimes. She is so sweet and prepares the food with care; I usually get the veggie yakisoba and I’ve never been disappointed. Their peanut sauce is my favorite. Their food is still reasonably priced, so definitely tip if you’re able!

It’s a smallish spot with not a ton of indoor seating, but I always get my food to go anyway. Parking can sometimes be a little tricky during peak traffic, but if you’re willing to walk a block or two you should be fine.“

“We came in about an hour before close, they welcomed us in and let us pick our seats. We were attended to promptly and got our orders in. The chef came out to ask if I was aware of what I was ordering (beef pho with only tripe, since I love tripe and my kids also love it and always steal most of it from me). I kindly let him know we did know and appreciated him making sure we knew what we were ordering. They seemed quite delighted that my young children (7 and 10) were enjoying the tripe so much. Towards the end, my daughter tried a piece of jalapeño that I had added and had been sitting in the soup and had been diluted. She decided that it was not spicy and brazenly attempted to eat a slice of raw jalapeño that came with the pho as well and immediately regretted it. She was in tears and the server was so nice and offered her candies to help with the spice. When she noticed it wasn't helping while I was trying to pay, she got the chef and he came back and gave my daughter milk that helped a bunch. They did not even charge extra, though I did offer. As we were leaving, my daughter gratefully looked up at me and said "mama, they're so kind" with her teary eyes and a smile. We will 100% be back. Super tasty food at a good price but most importantly, such lovely staff members. I am beyond grateful to them for our experience tonight.“

“It's been getting really cold here in Beaverton and I decided to try pho for the first time. I tried the combo beef pho here was amazing! I have some allergies with MSG, so here in BEP there is no MSG in the food. My experience there was really good. With great employees and great service, I could tell that there were intention and care put into this place. Will be coming back soon.“

“I really enjoy Vietnamese food since I have already visited the country, but I've never tried brunch with Vietnamese flavors before! We found this place on social media, and it was easy to make a reservation. My husband and I decided to come for Sunday brunch, and we were blown away by how tasty the food was. I ordered Vietnamese iced coffee, which was excellent. I also had the pandan waffles with chicken—they were delicious. I just wish the waffle was a little softer and fluffier. We also tried Vietnamese beef and eggs, which were really good too! They served some fantastic mocktails as well. The service was great and very friendly. We wanted to try the coffee flight, but we were already full! We’ll definitely be back soon to try other dishes on the menu.“

“Love, love, LOVE this place for take-out teriyaki chicken with yakisoba. How is this so hard to do in Portland? I moved farther away and still drive across town for this food. The chicken is well done, portions are huge, the texture is juicy and great to nom on all day.“
