“They limit the daily selections to 2 or 3 items, plus available appetizers etc. What they do make is just simply the best pho I ever recall having. The owners are always there and are the most welcoming hosts imaginable. 110% Satisfied!“

We came back in for early dinner/late lunch on a Friday and it was just as amazing as ever. This will have to be at least a twice a month Phở stop. I'm literally driving 30 minutes one way for this place. ❤️

Alright, I made this post last year and didn't elaborate or have pics AND, we just went back and now I have to go back and update other reviews I have left for the other Phở restaurants on the Westside.

Reason being, that I made a mistake. I won't name other Westside Phở restaurants in this review but I will be forced to go back and update my previous reviews/ratings.

Phở Nguyễn is actually the undisputed (at least in this family) BEST Phở restaurants on the Westside and they ABSOLUTELY have the best Phở broth. This is true whether you get the Beef OR the Chicken Phở.

Their service is also amazing and they have the best Chè Ba Màu (3-color) too. The crushed peanuts in that baby... (= Chef's 💋)

“We came here for lunch, had a choice of two soups. I chose the one that made me feel like I was born anew. Let me explain here, my sinuses were so very happy to be finally freed. I could breathe again after crying my tears of joy if you could see me you would probably laugh. But it wouldn't stop me from repeating this experience, I saved all the leftovers for later to get fully healed. Needless to say, I will be back to try another soup and get cleaned up. Yes, I will.

“5 stars!!!! We Love our Pho! (Thom) means "smells good" And that is a fact! When you walk in the door of this family restaurant you can tell it's different. Jimmy Le is a culinary master. He is a second generation business owner/chef. His pho is the best I have ever had and it's because of their secret family recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation. We have been friends since Highschool and me and the basketball players would always go to his Mom and Dads pho shop after a basketball game. It's so healing and just makes you feel good like you're giving your body exactly what it needs to repair itself. Jimmy is also a talented artist, as you sit in his small space each piece of pottery, tea cups, bowls, and urban art are so tastefully place and cultivated from local artists. His mission is to build the business of this new pho shop on Alberta and take care of his mom and dad who are reaching retirement. His family honor is incredibly inspiring and I want to support him reach his goal. Everyone has got to come and experience this family's flavor, they really have something special, it's all about high quality food. There is no question it is top tier. “During quick trip Portland, Oregon, I had to get my Vietnamese food fix at Hanoi Kitchen The bun bo hue and banh cuon were excellent. Bun Bo Hue had a rich deep flavorful broth with pork blood and pork legs. The banh cuon was soft and delicious with fresh cha lua. 5/5 Stars would recommend! ⭐️“

“Ok, so this place is top notch as far as I’m concerned. You can tell the broth is simmered for hours, the aromatics are ever present in every sip. Brisket is legit. I’m reviewing a lot of pho spots around Portland right now and this one is set apart. No trying to pass top round cuts off as brisket, this place is my top choice.“

“We came in about an hour before close, they welcomed us in and let us pick our seats. We were attended to promptly and got our orders in. The chef came out to ask if I was aware of what I was ordering (beef pho with only tripe, since I love tripe and my kids also love it and always steal most of it from me). I kindly let him know we did know and appreciated him making sure we knew what we were ordering. They seemed quite delighted that my young children (7 and 10) were enjoying the tripe so much. Towards the end, my daughter tried a piece of jalapeño that I had added and had been sitting in the soup and had been diluted. She decided that it was not spicy and brazenly attempted to eat a slice of raw jalapeño that came with the pho as well and immediately regretted it. She was in tears and the server was so nice and offered her candies to help with the spice. When she noticed it wasn't helping while I was trying to pay, she got the chef and he came back and gave my daughter milk that helped a bunch. They did not even charge extra, though I did offer. As we were leaving, my daughter gratefully looked up at me and said "mama, they're so kind" with her teary eyes and a smile. We will 100% be back. Super tasty food at a good price but most importantly, such lovely staff members. I am beyond grateful to them for our experience tonight.“

“Beef stew egg noodle best bowl of noodle i ate in my entire life. Its beyond spectacular. Love the atmosphere, price, reminds me of pho van. This is my new spot in portland. Love their name so cool. The yoonique hand rolls comes with shrimp, beef, chicken, pork, noodle, veggies to roll it & dip in peanut or fish sauce, its delicious a lot of food worth $26. Tumeric noodle better than pho van, saigon bowl, & ha vl. More meat with egg.
Do not go to yoonique tea: sign is graffiti cant read, no parking, ghetto sex worker neighborhood, no change in teal so i got .45 in pennies, 60% ice for $7.55 drink, no duracado drink, a car thief was behind my car, inside store you look out one window & see hoarder broken furniture & trash. Im beyond upset: waste of time, nrg, $, gas & cant beleive its owned by same restaurant.“

“I came in on my way home after a very long shift. The bartender with tattoos (I regret not asking your name!) was so kind and nice to me; even while doing their closing duties, they let me sit and eat at the bar (the first time I’d eaten since like 3pm?). This was at 11:30pm(ish) and I was so grateful. I got the sweet potatoes that tasted like actual sweet potatoes, fresh, and my fried rice (no pork) was one of the best fried rice I've ever had if not of all time. So flavorful and delicious! “some of the most healing brunch fare i’ve ever experienced. get the caramelized pork with egg, baguette instead of rice on the side so you can dip it into the magical broth. i’m gonna crave it when i’m sick, either physically or mentally. the garlic noodles with chicken is what a grown up wants when they feel like buttered noodles. the miso-braised beef is yet another magical meat dish with insanely satisfying broth. absolutely no complaints about the food, service was just a bit slow when slammed on a sunday but who can blame them. i’ve already been five or six times and only moved to the area a couple of months ago. so, so good.“

However, CT Bistro in Cedar Mill seems like a good option with a delicious variety of both Vietnamese and Thai cuisine, served fresh and warm. I ordered the pad thai for lunch and received excellent service from a man who seemed to be owner of the eatery. I would like to come back if I am craving some Thai food around town.“
