“It was my first time experiencing Silk Road, and I had reasonably elevated hopes, and I was not disappointed at all. I came in shortly after they opened as a solo diner at the bar. The staff was engaging and knowledgeable and just fun to be around. The first drink I had was the special called “sour senate” and it was balanced, damn tasty and refreshing. The salt and pepper calamari was in of the more flavorful squid dishes I’ve had in a minute. I finished off with some General Tso’s chicken and a more boozy drink called “trust the next drink” which as a great finish to a day off wandering around Portland. I will absolutely be coming back soon.“

We each had a mocktail that exceeded our expectations. Later tried the slushie special that was sooo good and refreshing I’ve dreamed about it ever since. “Warning! Feral's delicious food may convert you to veganism. My husband and I are not vegan, or even vegetarian, but we have dined at Feral three times in the past couple of months. We used to walk right past, not realizing that plant-based cuisine could truly be as or more flavorful and satisfying than dishes using animal products. I also like that they change up their menu, which will encourage us to keep coming back to see what they are up to. The folks in the kitchen really know what they are doing; I wish they would publish a cookbook! Some outstanding dishes we have tried: focaccia with tomatoes (best we have had) summer squash fettucini, cavatelli with eggplant, little gem salad, cucumber tostada, and a ravioli type dish with a yummy French green sauce. The cocktails and service are also great. I highly recommend Feral to all hungry diners, vegan or not.“

“I’ll start with saying Neal and Deandre were great. I’ve done 18 years in hospitality and they were genuine and wonderful. I had never been to Portland before but when I found this establishment, I knew I had to go; I was not disappointed. The Beelzebub was Neal’s creation and it was so much fun. My other favorite was the Pazuzu. The descriptions and execution of every item were spot on. Whenever I end up in Portland I will absolutely go here the evening I arrive.“

“We wanted to try here again, it had been a few years since we'd been. It made it for happy hour and got a couple of the cocktails-a rum negroni and an Old Fashioned type bourbon drink. Both were excellent. We got some food including the shrimp cocktail and a burger and fries. The food was also fantastic. Our server was super friendly and helpful. “Sunrice is inside of Roxy hotel. Pleasant ambiance of the lobby tucked behind the hotel front desk for hotel guests and food court eaters.

Excellent Philippine food. Reasonable prices. The cook and helper Kent and Jason were very nice and greeted everyone with friendly smile.“

“Me and my adult kids had a great meet up and dinner at Urban Steel Kitchen. I didn’t know what to expect but it was very tidy had plenty of room and the cuisine was high quality—the chefs did a great job!! I had the steelhead, kiddo had the steak sandwich and other kiddo had pesto pasta. We split appetizer of fried cauliflower and cake and brownie desserts. I highly recommend each of the dishes we got. All the food was super fresh and served when ready at the right temperatures. Grace was our server and she was so sweet!! The environment wasn’t super loud—I appreciate that now that my dad has hearing aids so I pay attention to this detail.“

“Does your grandma have a secret? Portland OR’s does. This grandma spices things with with Vietnamese style fare and cocktails. Super small and quaint little place that is really fun for a group of 2 or 3 people. Prices are high for the drink quality imo, but I would definitely recommend - 4/5“

“We had a fantastic dinner at Emerald Line. It is a new restaurant that has not yet been discovered. We loved the atmosphere with the exposed brick walls and intimate atmosphere. We met one of the owners who was very friendly and took pride in making sure everything was great, which it was. Each one of our dishes from appetizer to main course to dessert was perfect with really interesting, unique blends of flavors. This is our new favorite Portland restaurant and we will return for sure.“
