“Fabulous evening with friends before Christmas. The decorations are warm and welcoming along with having the talented pianist at the grand piano. I had the most delicious seafood pasta ever. Large prawns and sweet scallops with homemade pasta was scrumptious. My husband had lobster tail on beet risotto. A little skeptical we all had a taste and it was delicious, too. “This review is to help fellow foosball players. This may be the only Tornado table in town. With a little care this table could easily be cleaned up, leveled a little, and made into a league table. Some of the balls could stand to be replaced, but there are at least 9 of them. The cost is $.50 a game, and the table is unlocked.
The atmosphere of the bar is ok, about what you would expect, but there is plenty of room around the table for play on most nights I would think. I was surprised and happy to find this table as the website for the bar only mentioned that there was some other brand of table, not a Tornado table. Thanks to the owners for bringing Salem a good place to play.“

“When we lost our venue last minute (with several people flying in from out of state for the party) I contacted South Liberty Bar and Grill and they were able to save my Mom’s 70th surprise birthday party.

Monica, the owner went above and beyond. She not only agreed to put a themed buffet together with only a weeks notice, she handled the decorating and full set up for the party. She was easy to work with and made the party stress free.

The service was wonderful, Hannah our server also went above and beyond to be sure all our guests had their coffee, tea and cocktails.

The other owners, Aaron and Brick made sure to have karaoke available for this special occasion as my mother loves to hear us daughters sing.

Not only did Larry (the KJ) agree to come in on his day off, he was fun and personable. We had a great time singing with his friendly personality. The sound system was also amazing which for a family who enjoys singing is very important.

The quality of food was amazing and Miguel from the kitchen made sure the buffet stayed completely stocked and warm.

The entire establishment was very clean including the bathrooms which for me is very important.

I can’t say enough for this place. It made a very special occasion very memorable.“
