“Disclaimer, I didn't eat the food myself as I'm plant based. Dennis and Auntie makes it homey. When I look at the pictures and food, it feels authentic and rich, yummies families eat. Portions are great. Definitely smells tempting while I'm enroute to deliver these. Ordered BBQ pork skewers for my Greek friend and he can't stop raving about it. He asked me to get more for him on his birthday. Got the pork adobo for another friend. OMG! Delicious! He's a born and raised Louisiana chef so quite judgy when it comes to food. Definitely, ordering some dishes for my visiting family!“

Of all the coffee houses I have tried, the Urban Grange has been the most consistently reliable and satisfying. Coffee and bake goods are the best in town, parking is the most convenient, and waits are short.“

“Online ordering is very easy and when we picked it up, the food looked even better than in the photos. Our order was done right on time and was the most delicious Thai food I’ve had in Oregon or NY. I can’t remember having Thai food anywhere else, but it’s likely better than that too. The salad rolls and papaya salad were my favorite but the grilled pork was an important part of the meal.“

“It is hard to find good breakfast in this area and Cafe 22 hits the spot. I love their peaches, the pancake thickness isnt overly cakey and hard to swallow. The bacon is thick and cooked just right. The raspberry jam is real raspberry jam. The water mentioned in the another review is because they are on a well so it does taste little bit more tinnish, a lemon wedge in my water cured that. Stopped by the fruit stand for fresh strawberries, on the spendy side, but oh the flavor, absolutely nothing beats an Oregon strawberry. Had I known they did strawberry short cake, I woulda skipped the breakfast and went straight to the fruit stand.“

“Their story and purpose bleeds into every person that serves you. From the top down they create the most welcoming atmosphere in the area. Couldn’t give them a higher recommendation!“

“Hands down the most satisfying Chinese food I've eaten. Smells good, tastes good, served hot with a smile. Fills you up, but not for 5 minutes.. fills you up and your leftovers actually become lunch tomorrow not your second dinner and they are still tasty without rubber or soggy breading!!

So why an overall score of 4 you ask??? There are a couple improvements that can be made fairly easy that would make this place a 5 star in my book. 1. Gotta do something about the temperature of the dining area. AC needs to either be fixed or installed.
2. Crackers, if you sell soup crackers should be available. The egg flour soup is great, but without crackers you can not enjoy a bowl of it before your food arrives because it is served hot (which is perfect) but some crackers would fix that.
3. Vegetable varieties...add some varieties like Broccoli and Cauliflower to the mix. Something substantial in our plate.

All doable things on my opnion.

Howwever I recommend China Gourmet if it is Chinese food you are wanting for dinner or lunch today.“

“Had an awesome tasting at Evening Land. The property is absolutely beautiful and has some of the best views we saw in the Willamette Valley. We ended up spending way more time there than we planned because the atmosphere was so relaxing and welcoming.

What really stood out was the hospitality. Everyone was friendly, down to earth, and genuinely excited to talk about the wines without making the experience feel intimidating or overly formal. We learned a lot, had some great conversations, and never felt rushed.

The wines were fantastic across the board, especially the Pinot Noirs. You can tell there’s a lot of attention to detail in both the winemaking and the overall experience.

If you’re visiting Willamette Valley, Evening Land is absolutely worth a stop. Great wine, beautiful setting, and some of the best hospitality we experienced all weekend.“

“Westside is without question the best taphouse in Salem. Great variety of beers, ciders, and wines that skew PNW local. Almost always something new and unique to try. Small selection of cans & bottles to go. Friendly staff & nice atmosphere. Year round outdoor seating as well.

“Clean, beautiful, historical building with shady patio outback. I had the BBQ chicken salad—huge portion with tender, well-marinated chicken and fresh veggies. The husband enjoyed a Caesar salad with crispy chicken. Service was friendly and efficient. Definitely would recommend.“
