“Westside is without question the best taphouse in Salem. Great variety of beers, ciders, and wines that skew PNW local. Almost always something new and unique to try. Small selection of cans & bottles to go. Friendly staff & nice atmosphere. Year round outdoor seating as well.

“The Phily Cheese Steak sandwich was delicious. So were the fries. Low key - we were there at lunch with our grandson - and it was easy to hear and to visit with each other. It's near our home, a bonus. It's not the dive that we remember from 20 years ago (we're slow to give bad experiences a second chance when there are so many options in town.) We'll go for lunch again and take some friends with us.“

“I’m always happy to find a great local spot when I’m out exploring. I stopped into Kraftworks Taphouse for a quick drink while visiting Salem and ended up really liking it. They have a great selection of beers and ciders on tap, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area!“

“When we lost our venue last minute (with several people flying in from out of state for the party) I contacted South Liberty Bar and Grill and they were able to save my Mom’s 70th surprise birthday party.

Monica, the owner went above and beyond. She not only agreed to put a themed buffet together with only a weeks notice, she handled the decorating and full set up for the party. She was easy to work with and made the party stress free.

The service was wonderful, Hannah our server also went above and beyond to be sure all our guests had their coffee, tea and cocktails.

The other owners, Aaron and Brick made sure to have karaoke available for this special occasion as my mother loves to hear us daughters sing.

Not only did Larry (the KJ) agree to come in on his day off, he was fun and personable. We had a great time singing with his friendly personality. The sound system was also amazing which for a family who enjoys singing is very important.

The quality of food was amazing and Miguel from the kitchen made sure the buffet stayed completely stocked and warm.

The entire establishment was very clean including the bathrooms which for me is very important.

I can’t say enough for this place. It made a very special occasion very memorable.“

“Went here last month to celebrate a family member turning 21. It was a super good time and the bartender was super nice and helpful and made me a drink that he's never made before. It was really awesome sitting at the bar and being able to watch sports up close. The food was pretty darn good. I would also recommend this place because the price wasn't half bad either.

“Staff was prompt and responsive. I ordered the Prime Rib Special. It came out remarkably fast. Medium rare as requested. Unfortunately the baked potato was over done and yet cool. The prime rib was lukewarm. The horseradish sauce was off- I can’t tell why but it had a peculiar flavor that should not have been there. Seasoning of the prime rib was on point and so was the zip sauce. I wasn’t feeling up to potential confrontation so when they asked how the food was I just said good. With prime rib it’s hard because if they warmed it then it might not have come back medium rare…also there was no steak knife but again I didn’t ask“

“Like this place, but tonight is second time they have accused us of not paying for our drinks. I offered to pay for what I actually ordered, but lead bartender, told me that it was a second time and I was 86. I offered to pay for the drinks I actually ordered, but she insisted I was 86 if I didn't pay for extra items, so I walked out. It was second time accusing me of not paying and being aggressive about it. They need to learn how to properly train these young ladies, as I have paid for and paid extra for my drinks/food here. Very disappointed about this, and will not be back to a place that doesn't respect or trust the customer. This is a enjoyable establishment, only hope the staff learns to listen and understand the customer“

There is an two individuals that work during the day that have been great nothing like over the top up your ass type of waiting on you but definitely attentive to people's needs friendly and seem genuinely like they are there and just good people. However we had one experience in the evening time that my boyfriend could not stand the bartender which I don't disagree we never got service except for we went up there and she served us the most expensive tequila there was after we asked for Jose cuervo and we were told that they don't carry that so we said we'll give us something different she gave us something that was $18 is insane. And then never came and waited on us were checked on us after that. All she seemed to care about was one of the guys sitting on the other side of the bar. So I'm going to give it a 4 out of 5 and be generous because of the day shift people. It's a guy and a really nice girl.“

“Clean, beautiful, historical building with shady patio outback. I had the BBQ chicken salad—huge portion with tender, well-marinated chicken and fresh veggies. The husband enjoyed a Caesar salad with crispy chicken. Service was friendly and efficient. Definitely would recommend.“
