“We stopped in last night for dinner. I hadn't ever been in and wanted to see what all the hype was about. We'll... we walked in and felt like we were in a good ol' neighborhood bar. The staff were welcoming and the ambiance was perfect for us for a Wednesday night. I ordered the special Teriyaki Burger with steak fries and hubby ordered Chilli Burger with steak fries and a side salad. Everything was prepared great. Our food was served up hot and tasty. Service was very attentive. We really enjoyed ourselves! Fun place to play a little video lottery as well! We'll definitely be back!“
“Got stuck in Salem when my car broke down on i5, found this hole in the wall while waiting for a ride. $11.00 for an absolutely bangin blue cheese burger with fries???? Up in Portland it would run me 18! Great food, awesome prices, friendly staff. Definitely “
“As a displaced Southerner, I approach BBQ in the PNW with caution. Two bites into the pork belly and I was instantly a ten-year-old again eating the food my father and uncles worked for days to prepare. The Vault is what happens when Down Home Comfort Food meets haute cuisine - homemade, fresh, extremely generous portions of authentic, perfectly prepared fare. The BBQ is phenomenal and the sides are delicious as well. Corn was still snappy, the fries were hot even delivered, and the tacos are phenomenally flavorful without being loaded down with spice. Try the jalapeno poppers which are *obviously* hand made! The burgers are juicy and freshly-made to grilling perfection, and the Alabama white sauce will knock your socks off. The prices are ridiculously low, as I would happily pay twice the asking for the generous portions and extremely high quality of ingredients ... not to mention the obvious love, skill, and pride that go into the food. Bonus: no Styrofoam containers here, but reusable aluminum pans that just need a quick wash packed skillfully to avoid using too much container. And where else can you play cribbage while enjoying your food and superbly crafted cocktails?“
“I've been here many times. They are smoker friendly. Service is good, the girls are nice, and the owner is very friendly. Good place to have dinner, a drink, and a conversationParking: Only about 12 parking spots, but there is street parkingWheelchair accessibility: It's a cellar, what can I say? There is a good ramp from the parking lot to the door.“
“Day trip to Salem and looked for Island food. Soooooo happy this was where we decided to go. Ginger made us great drinks and the food was outstanding. Fresh, simple and authentic island dishes! We will be back! Thank you again Ginger for the killer service!“
“It's been years since I was at the Half Penny. A group of us went there on St Patrick's Day and really enjoyed our experience! It was *very* busy, so we waited patiently and eventually got a table. We ordered food, had drinks, and enjoyed the band and bagpipers. The owner is friendly, and spirited! She and the staff took care of that busy St Patrick's Day crowd including people who had to wait to get seated. We've been back twice since then, once for lunch, and once for breakfast!“
“Fun atmosphere and very diverse crowd. The two gals behind the bar were working their tails off and so friendly. Went on karaoke night. A little too loud and nearly impossible to have a conversation, but people were really having a good time.“
“I really like this place. 3rd time there still clean, friendly, & community based. Everyone seemed to kno everyone & were lighthearted & welcoming.. I plan to make this my daily sneak away spot feom now on. Didnt try food, snuck in real late.“
“The fries are top notch, the meats were good, veggies were grilled to perfection. The bread could have been a little thinner for me, but itnwas good bread. The service and atmosphere was perfect, the staff we had was friendly and attentive. Plus, when you pay, you get the warmest Bic pens in town ?Parking lot is a little small and crammed, but where there is a will, there is a way“
“I love this bar. The bartenders are laid back, n friendly. Slots can get busy, but very short wait time. I play pool for free on some days while I'm waiting for a free machine, so it's been kinda Kool. Their covered outdoor lounge has many different functions, with a few outdoor heaters n even a few outdoor games, hell, u could easily make them drinking games. Location is great, tons of parking, n a at least 3 stores for smokes, etc.. plus a farmers market with food court across the st. Easy on n off Silverton rd, Brown rd, and close to Corden rd. I would recommend it to anybody looking for an all in one spot to let go of the days hardships n just chill a little. Be blessed.“
“This is a nice, off Lancaster watering hole and usually where we go when wanting to play pool. Almost guaranteed to get a table. With Covid they got every other one closed off though so weekends are hit n miss depending on the time. Beer is cold. Drinks are strong and the "bigass bartender" is friendly a quick to get ya going. Looking forward to coming more post Covid and checking out their hold-em night.“
“I was invited to do the Death Nut Challenge here. This unassuming brick building is a great watering hole with great food. Can you play pool here, that’s a resounding yes. I cannot not play pool, mostly because I’m just down right terrible at it. Lottery yes! Karaoke happens there too.“
“Top-notch food. Service is also top-notch when the staff is around. One visit, I had to go to "smokers' corner" on the porch to order another drink, Another visit, I had to go and ask for a bill because we had been done for a while. On our last visit, we were going to order a 2nd Bloody Mary, but I didn't want to go out to the smoke cloud and get a staff member. By the time we were done eating, she came in when a group of four came in, and we were able to get and pay our bill. The group of four were given menus and waters, and they waited to order. They were looking around for someone to take an order, and I pointed to the porch. One of them went out and got someone, and when she came to the table, they told the staff member that something had come up and they needed to leave. It is definitely a repeating pattern. That said, the food really is great with generous portions and the staff is friendly and nice. Our visits were two Sundays and a Monday.“
“They have a K J Friday and Saturday night. The atmosphere is friendly and most people are down to earth. Bartenders some are good and some not fully trained. My fav. Is Joe and Tater.Wheelchair accessibility: The bathrooms are ADA friendly.“
“Service has usually been decent for us here, but today our bartender/server was fantastic! Extremely helpful, attentive, and welcoming. Food was delicious (as always). I meant to take a photo of my food and beverages to share but we inhaled it all too quickly!Parking: Located in a shopping center with a large shared parking lot.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps or stairs. Many tables are lower in height, and there is seemingly enough space to move around other tables. Bathroom is wheelchair accessible.“
“I've gone here quite a bit throughout the past three or so years, nice place to play pool and lotto, nice heated smoking area out front, but about 50% of the time I have problems with service. There's a younger bartender that's always kind and pleasant, but there are two large women in their thirties that always talk to everyone like they are burdened and don't want to be there. Stopped in on my girlfriend's birthday, and after asking to see our ID, one of the plus-sized women told my girlfriend that they don't do birthday shots, and I told her I got a birthday shot offered to me as soon as I had my ID check on my birthday eRlier this year. She then asked to see her ID again, stating it wasn't her birthday (called my gf a liar), and after verification, still said she wouldn't give her a birthday shot! Also you could smell her from over the bar everything she extended her arm to hand a drink or grab payment, it was like the boys locker room in high-school ? will update review if I go back and catch her name“
“If you're looking for small town vibes, great conversations and a post hangover breakfast....this is it. (PS...I did not have a hangover). Come as you are as you'll see farmers, pj clad patrons and casually dressed customers. Waitresses have been there for 5+ years and you can tell they enjoy their jobs.“
“This place treats me so well. I have to wait for the bus and sometimes I’ll order food and drink. Nachos are amazing the jerk tacos are good and the pork belly tacos as well. The workers produce so much effort and it’s flawless. The coin jam will be in trouble once some of the staff leaves. Thank you guys so much for helping me get through the hard times !!“
