“We hired Runaway Kitchen for our wedding on October 25, 2025, and I honestly cannot say enough amazing things about them! They were BY FAR my favorite vendor that we hired! ❤

From the very beginning, they were so responsive, helpful, and made sure everything was handled before the wedding and on the big day. As a bride, you have a million things running through your head, and “bride brain” is VERY real! 😂 Having a vendor that I could completely trust to take care of everything was such a huge relief. I never had to worry about whether things were being handled because I knew I was in good hands.

The owners are truly some of the kindest people ever. They were so welcoming, genuine, and incredibly easy to work with. You can tell that they genuinely care about the people they work with and aren’t just there to do a job. They made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire process, and that meant more to me than I can put into words.

The fact that Runaway Kitchen does both food AND bartending was a HUGE plus from a bride’s perspective. Two major things checked off the list with one incredible team! They made everything so easy and executed everything I had envisioned beyond my expectations.

And the FOOD! All of our guests absolutely LOVED the burgers. We had so many people tell us how good the food was, and it was definitely a hit with everyone!

But what really made Runaway Kitchen stand out was their entire staff. Every person we interacted with was kind, helpful, friendly, and genuinely went above and beyond. They even helped our guests take photos throughout the night, which was something they absolutely did not have to do, but was such a sweet and unexpected touch. They weren’t just there to serve food and drinks—they truly became part of our wedding day and helped make it even more special.

They went above and beyond what I ever expected from a vendor. They made things easier, took stress off my plate, and allowed me to actually enjoy my wedding instead of worrying about the little things. That is something I will always appreciate.

I couldn’t have asked for a better team to have there on such an important day. If you’re planning a wedding and considering Runaway Kitchen, DO IT! I would recommend them to absolutely anyone without hesitation. Amazing food, incredible service, the kindest owners and staff, and a team that genuinely cares about making your day special.

“The staff was AMAZING for my Make a Wish family’s send-off party! Diana, Chris, Julia, and friends were so accommodating from setup of our table, serving food, and helping assist the final clean up. Every staff member wore Disney gear, from entire costumes and Pajama onesies to mouse ear headbands. Mirabel/Julia was a most wonderful waitress and the whole family loved her. Their team provided an entire party for us, filled with balloons, Encanto glasses, crazy straws, and even helped us setup additional decorations. I could tell they were so excited to apart of something special, and the thing is, they were the ones that made it so special. One server told me “we’ve been shopping for this for weeks!” They all smiled as they came by the table to say hello to our wish family. The entire restaurant transformed just for our wish and it was an amazing experience. My heart was touched by the joyful nature of these employees. Everyone came together to celebrate my wish kid, and I am forever grateful for their thoughtfulness. So often we talk about our wish kids bringing hope to the world, but now I realize that the hope also comes from those who come to help. “Great spot and a great burger and fries. Their buns are super soft but hold the burger together well. The fries are great as well. Been there a few times and they are consistent. A single point burger joint as far as I know. Go give them a try and support them. 👏“

“I was looking for good hot dogs near downtown Salem. This place popped up so I thought I'd try it. They really only had one hot dog and it was more of a bar like setting, however they are kid friendly in most of the place. The atmosphere is great. The staff is friendly. But if all your looking for is hot dogs that is not their specialty. Don't get me wrong the hot dog was very enjoyable but they only have the one style. I am definitely interested in going back another time and trying some of their other food because it looks really good and looks like good portions at reasonable prices“

“I rarely eat fast food so I didn't expect much from ordering a chicken sandwich besides not feeling hungry. I was surprised at how hot everything was, the chicken sandwich was juicy and not all dried out. The waffle fries were hot and crispy and hit the spot. The customer service was great! “No matter who is working drive-thru, the staff is always so friendly with friendly voices. Food is always hot and quick and tastes good. I was bummed though when I went to this location on 10/26/24 and got a soda. The soda tasted flat so I asked the worker if I could get something else. He happily offered but that drink was flat too. You could tell even by the color and lack of carbonation in the sodas. He said the CO2 might be low/bad but there was nothing they could do for me. So I was bummed that I paid money for something I couldn't enjoy.“

“breakfast and burgers has been here for over 10 years now. We have tried the CORNED BEEF Hash for breakfast yesterday. It was so fresh since it was HOMEMADE. I literally just finished my second order in two days. I highly recommend for a St. Patrick's Day meal. There's something for everyone here. This was the best corned beef hash I've ever had. They are kind people with great food to enjoy with you. if you decide to try it, tell them I said hi!“

“Went to the drive thru to get a frosty. Unfortunately I dont know his name, but the drive thru attendant was great.
RANT, to the food or in my case the frosty. I wax definitely disappointed in the value of the frosty for the price. I ordered a large, which seemed more like a medium, at a extra large price. This must be why I generally dont go to fast food establishments.“

“So, I was just reminiscing about how many years ago my mom would bring my brothers and I here. How many remodels have been done in the 50 + years I have known it. Now I bring my grandkids here, same taste as before.
Now there is a wild mix of people who frequent this establishment. Being downtown has always had that effect. Know that restrooms are locked, you must be buzzed in.
It was easy parking, but the drive-thru line has always been an issue navigating to get to the parking. It is actually easier to enter from center street if you are dining inside.
Again food is like any McDonalds. Consistant taste.“

“Got a family bucket 8 piece chicken meal with two mashed potatoes and gravy and a large coleslaw for biscuits all for only 22 bucks that's a killer deal for today's prices and their large mashed potatoes are actually large if you go to Popeyes you get about half the size for a dollar more they did forget my coleslaw I got home and called and spoke with Lindsey she was very nice and when I got there there was a few people in line upset that they did not get their food but I felt bad for the workers because they were swamped and obviously the manager was trying to train new people they were really busy so I gave them for stars even though they forgot my coleslaw because they were trying really hard to make everybody happy.
