“We were driving through Salem on our way to the coast and stumbled into this coffee shop. So happy we did!! My favorite thing was a sign that said, "we filter coffee, not people." The vibe is very welcoming and we saw a huge variety of people inside. Bagels were excellent and my coffee was perfect (got the Mexican latte). The bathroom was large and clean. Plenty of places to sit and relax. Beautiful art and plants and lots to look at! This is our new favorite place when on our way to the coast!“

“Java Crew makes the best-tasting variety of coffees. I used to go to other coffee places (thought they were all the same) and didn't care for them (bitterness and not giving what I ordered). Now, I ONLY go to Java Crew! The staff is amazing by being friendly, kind and remembering me and my husband. We experienced all of this through a drive-up window! “I've been trying coffee all over Polk and Marion countries for 4 years now, and nothing compares to this. I only drink real coffee: cappuccino, espresso, none of the flavored stuff, and this is the best by a wide margin. Although I only had coffee on this first visit, the bakery case looked amazing. “In looking for a shop to longarm quilt a vintage quilt top, I visited a few shops and this shop had more expertise and provided better consultation than the others. The owners of this shop really know their quilts. Other shops suggested meander patterns and this shop suggested some traditional quilt patterns that I ended up preferring. They also referred me to a shop which would be more likely to carry fabric that would be a close match in color for the binding. I liked that they offered extra options like prepping the binding for me to sew on one side. Also appreciated them taking a damaged quilt top that I know longer wanted and offering to find someone that might have interest in doing all the work to repair. You know they're good when they have a several month wait for their quilt finishing service. And so hospitable with the availability of tea and coffee. What a great place!“
“Third time I've visited Archive for coffee. This morning I got a rosemary Parmesan scone that was the most perfect scone I've had. It's not huge, not over kneaded or over baked. The coffee was also well prepared. Nice staff. Worth a visit for morning coffee.“

I love how she is so personable, she is always smiling and so upbeat! Sometimes I even get a heart on my cup, those special interactions go a long way! Jaylyn is another person that is always super kind! She always gets my order right as well! She makes sure to ask how my day is and how I've been. I can tell this is more then just a job to them! They both make a point to make each interaction special, it's not just getting coffee. There's a couple other girls as well that are always super nice, but I'm not sure of their names. I know if I'm going to black rock it's going to be a good experience. I highly recommend!“

“The Human Bean on Commercial in South Salem is the absolute best one I have visited. The baristas are cheerful, knowledgeable, and recognize me. The coffee is always great, and they fill my containers fully. And I never have to ask for beans, they are always happily given. “We've grown an addiction to this little boba shop in Walmart! There's so many incredible flavors, the staff is nice, and the little shop has such a nice atmosphere! They serve a plethora of different flavors of jasmine tea, milk tea, and iced or blended smoothies! And yes, they let you choose "no ice" in your drink, if you're anything like my dad. “This is far and away my favorite small business… no, favorite business of ANY kind in Salem. The first time I came it was magical and every visit since has been also. I’ve been about 10 times total and now I make sure to come at least once a week or more. They’re kind and helpful and so lovely. Every single thing we’ve tried on the menu is brilliant. The atmosphere is calm, well decorated, clean, and authentic. I love the little fidget toys and lovely books to look at while we wait (but they are fast!). The quality of the tea, boba, and beverages in general is absolutely stunning. I might be something of a tea snob too tbh? Given our other boba choices in Salem, well, let’s just say this one is superior (to my fam and I) in a big way. This is coming from someone who spends a lot of time in Portland, Corvallis, and Eugene also, so I’ve had my fair share of teas and boba. I will do everything in my power to help this family stay in business for the long-haul. I am an absolute fan for life now. All I can say is everything about the shop is perfect and fills me with joy.
