I also had a grapefruit cocktail that I can’t remember the name of but it was flavorful & very refreshing. The service was patient helpful and friendly. I highly recommend Xicha if you enjoy really good food and want to excite your palate.”
“Just visited Sun Break winery which is inside Bjorson. Pinots, other wines & **vermouth**--2 types. Really flavorful & yummy. Spent time with David who was knowledgeable & very friendly. Then we blended barrel samples, something I've never done. Fascinating! Excellent wines at most reasonable prices. Highly recommend. (Then went to dinner at Cozy Taberna-top-notch.)”

Just make sure you are clear about wanting food/drinks off the happy hour menu, otherwise it can be pricey. It's a great spot for date night or going out with friends, but for someone like me, who might wants to visit once a week, the happy hour menu is key. I'm really looking forward to going back.”

“Went their with family for my daughters 25th birthday. She wanted to try Thai food. The place was clean and staff was friendly and welcoming. Lots of options on the menu for everyone to find something they liked. The teas we delicious. We had a couple appetizers. Both were very good in the sauces that came with them. We’re also tasty. Entrée heat can go from mild to very hot. I haves the most mild heat, and it was fine. I don’t like spicy food. Food came out hot. Proportions were a good size. I had the Drunken Noodles with beef, Daughter had lamb shank. It was cool just right with meat just falling off the boat. Also tried the orange chicken it was very good. I would recommend this place and will be going back. So far it only been open a few months a would recommend supporting them if your looking for good Thoa food in Salem.”

“The BEST Indian food in Salem. I am looking forward to making my way through more of the menu. So flavorful and succulent. I am glad I brought my own water bottle as staff was using bottled water instead of filling reusable cups when I dined in- it was very busy so I don't know if this is standard or not. We ordered lamb korma, malai kofta, garlic naan (just a little less garlicky than I like, but I understand this is an Italian/American food projection), and mango lassi (sweet and satisfying!). Everything was superb and we had multiple meals from the leftovers.”

We then proceeded to order food in which I ordered the Plato Aguachile and she ordered a Sope with Carne Asada and some mexican corn. Everything tasted fresh and amazing.”

The parking lot was nearly full when we were there but we did get a spot”

“Today, 2/7/24, was our third time in the last few months ordering with Cindy Lou’s BBQ. Every single time, we have been nothing less than 100% satisfied. Their food is hot, fresh, and SO DELICIOUS. The employees/owners are friendly and helpful. They have our food ready and to us in less than 5-10 minutes every time. We have tried the sliced brisket, the mac and cheese, the cheesy potatoes, and the garlic bread. The prices, in our opinion, are very fair for BBQ, and the quality and amount you receive. I cannot rave about this place more, what an amazing addition to our very slim food options in Monmouth/Independence!”

“Highly recommended! The best part is the restaurant is located inside the same building as the "Pilot" gas station/convenient mart. I always enjoy their vast selection of snacks, drinks, novelty items, car accessories, and other random nick knax. Their restrooms are very nice, a lot larger than most other places, and are kept pretty clean "usually." They even have showers available "for a cost." I find myself stopping by even if I don't need any gas, just to see whats new in their selection.”

Tender and juicy inside, nice crispy coating on the outside. Very flavorful! I had the sweet chili sriracha and the dragonfruit sauces. Both were fantastic and paired well with both the chicken and the fries! I had a bit of a drive to get home before eating but my food was still hot and my fries still crispy when I got back. Will be back to try more of the food here. Very happy with this experience!”

“This is far and away my favorite small business… no, favorite business of ANY kind in Salem. The first time I came it was magical and every visit since has been also. I’ve been about 10 times total and now I make sure to come at least once a week or more. They’re kind and helpful and so lovely. Every single thing we’ve tried on the menu is brilliant. The atmosphere is calm, well decorated, clean, and authentic. I love the little fidget toys and lovely books to look at while we wait (but they are fast!). The quality of the tea, boba, and beverages in general is absolutely stunning. I might be something of a tea snob too tbh? Given our other boba choices in Salem, well, let’s just say this one is superior (to my fam and I) in a big way. This is coming from someone who spends a lot of time in Portland, Corvallis, and Eugene also, so I’ve had my fair share of teas and boba. I will do everything in my power to help this family stay in business for the long-haul. I am an absolute fan for life now. All I can say is everything about the shop is perfect and fills me with joy. “He is a one-man shop but his food is a comfort to my kids! They love his curry, karaage, tonkatsu and his croquettes that he sometimes packs for us! It may take some time since he makes things on his own but, like his former place on 12th Street, the owner is very kind and courteous to all of his customers. He is expanding his menu slowly to bring back favorites and to try new things so it's always a delight to check in and see what he has to offer.”

“I’m the owner of JT’S BBQ and I stopped in to see Jimmy and order some food. I ordered a combo plate. I had brisket, pork belly, tri-tip and 3 sides. The sides were beans, corn bread and potato salad. I have to say that I do recommend Willamette Valley Smokehouse. Jimmy is a cool guy and I have respect for him and his craft. We ordered our food, I got a passion fruit boba, shrimp salad rolls, and coconut shrimp. My friend got drunken chicken with chicken. Our food took awhile to make, but we weren’t in a rush! Each item came our fresh and extremely tasty! Mina offered boxes and we gladly took our food. She told me what to do in case my salad rolls dried out and helped individually wrap each roll.Prices were great for the area, quality of food, and amount of food. We were the only diners sitting inside the establishment which honestly shocks me. There was one pick up order and one drive through order, but not many customers. I’m hoping that 7:00pm on a Tuesday is normally slow, cause there’s no reason she shouldn’t be more busy! The music was catchy, the dining room was festive and inviting, and the wonderful fresh smells from the kitchen make me want to eat everything she can make!! Can’t wait to come back again :)”

I got the grilled cheese with goat cheese and tomatoes and enjoyed it. I also got a lavender gin sour— it was amazing that I ended up with a second. My entire bill including tip was $30!!! & that was a Monday night Dinner! There was also a game room and a lounge seating I would’ve liked to explore. “I found this place because they list some of their food on the app Too Good to Go, and so I ordered a bag of mixed goodies. Oh my goodness were they tasty! We got a variety of sweet breads like pumpkin and zucchini bread, and they were all so delicious that they reminded me of my great grandma's baking. The service was fast and kind, answering my questions, and the place itself was very clean and bright and it smelled like the banana bread they had in the oven. I'm excited to go there again!”

I had the shrimp lobster melt. My reason for living had the Jessica burger. My melt was very flavorful and the chips were crunchy and a nice pairing. The burger was unctuous and the melted bri really brought it home. For sides we had truffle fries and the bri cheese with French bread. Both apps were delicious but I would highly recommend the Bri as a side.”

The sweetness of the balsamic drizzle on the Caesar salad was a perfect blend to the best version of a Caesar salad I’ve ever had. The steamer clams and olives were superb… The service was above and beyond !! Nicholas was one of the best servers I’ve ever encountered. He was friendly, professional, engaging, caring, and knowledgeable… he made me feel welcome to be there!! Jeremiah was an exceptional mixologist.. and baseball fan!! , friendly and kind…it was fun to watch his creativity show as he served customers. I was very disappointed that the cooler was completely empty. This seems to be a on going issue cause out of the last 3 orders only once did they have a choice. 2 time only one kind & today none. They’re were at least 5 people working and the two people that helped me said nothing about the free 2 liter of soda or offered any anything. For service was good but not great. I gave a tip but not deserved only cause it was not the complete experience for pickup with all the advertised promos.”

The vibe is very welcoming and we saw a huge variety of people inside. Bagels were excellent and my coffee was perfect (got the Mexican latte). The bathroom was large and clean. “As a displaced Southerner, I approach BBQ in the PNW with caution. Two bites into the pork belly and I was instantly a ten-year-old again eating the food my father and uncles worked for days to prepare. The Vault is what happens when Down Home Comfort Food meets haute cuisine - homemade, fresh, extremely generous portions of authentic, perfectly prepared fare. The BBQ is phenomenal and the sides are delicious as well. Corn was still snappy, the fries were hot even delivered, and the tacos are phenomenally flavorful without being loaded down with spice. Try the jalapeno poppers which are *obviously* hand made! The burgers are juicy and freshly-made to grilling perfection, and the Alabama white sauce will knock your socks off. The prices are ridiculously low, as I would happily pay twice the asking for the generous portions and extremely high quality of ingredients ... not to mention the obvious love, skill, and pride that go into the food. Bonus: no Styrofoam containers here, but reusable aluminum pans that just need a quick wash packed skillfully to avoid using too much container. And where else can you play cribbage while enjoying your food and superbly crafted cocktails?”

Their team provided an entire party for us, filled with balloons, Encanto glasses, crazy straws, and even helped us setup additional decorations. I could tell they were so excited to apart of something special, and the thing is, they were the ones that made it so special. One server told me “we’ve been shopping for this for weeks!” They all smiled as they came by the table to say hello to our wish family. The entire restaurant transformed just for our wish and it was an amazing experience. My heart was touched by the joyful nature of these employees. Everyone came together to celebrate my wish kid, and I am forever grateful for their thoughtfulness. So often we talk about our wish kids bringing hope to the world, but now I realize that the hope also comes from those who come to help. “The food here is incredible!! The nachos are insane!! The drinks are delicious! They’ve got lottery machines for the gamblers in your group too. Marcie is so friendly and welcoming. I do wish they had better seating downstairs, we’ve only ever been in for lunch and it’s not super comfortable unless you’re sitting at the bar with the big comfy stools, but it’s a must try.”
“Our server, Sarah, appeared to be quite fatigued during her shift, which was evident in her demeanor. Despite this, she provided exceptional service and made a positive impression on me. Her sense of humor was particularly noteworthy, and I intend to return to this establishment specifically to be served by her again.”

“This is the best restaurant ever! This should be a national chain! The quality of the pasta and ingredients is top-notch. Service is fast, and portions are generous. I took my wife and four kids here yesterday and not a complaint from anyone - which is a miracle in itself. ;) Please support this restaurant so they stick around for good.”
“Been wanting to try these guys and finally went through tonight. Service was fantastic and the bloke I talked to in the drive thru was super helpful. The chicken was delicious! Tender and juicy inside, nice crispy coating on the outside. Very flavorful! I had the sweet chili sriracha and the dragonfruit sauces. Both were fantastic and paired well with both the chicken and the fries! I had a bit of a drive to get home before eating but my food was still hot and my fries still crispy when I got back. Will be back to try more of the food here. Very happy with this experience!”
“Just left the Salem Oregon location. It was so much better than what I was expecting. It’s not been open long so they’re still working out the kinks with servers and all that. But the bag o seafood was SPOT ON. It was all so good. I’m sure the longer it’s open the service kinks will be worked out. But it’s certainly very good food. Everything was delicious.”
