“My wife was shopping at the Antique place nearby and I was hungry for lunch so I decided to give this place a try. I was so impressed! The #1 pork lunch special is delicious! Can't recommend it highly enough. I just wish we lived in Salem so we could go often and try all the menu items. We'll definitely go back when we are in the area next time!“
“Today, 2/7/24, was our third time in the last few months ordering with Cindy Lou’s BBQ. Every single time, we have been nothing less than 100% satisfied. Their food is hot, fresh, and SO DELICIOUS. The employees/owners are friendly and helpful. They have our food ready and to us in less than 5-10 minutes every time. We have tried the sliced brisket, the mac and cheese, the cheesy potatoes, and the garlic bread. The prices, in our opinion, are very fair for BBQ, and the quality and amount you receive. I cannot rave about this place more, what an amazing addition to our very slim food options in Monmouth/Independence!“
“I got the Boss Combo for take out with pulled pork, brisket, tater salad, and mac and cheese. I also got fried pickles and fried okra.The meat was flavorful and had some beautiful bark. Enjoyed it with and without sauce. Tater salad was yummy! Not crazy about the Mac and cheese (I'm very picky) but the pasta texture was good and when combined with pork plus bbq sauce....perfect bite!The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. The restaurant was clean but didn't dine in.It was great bbq and large portions. BUT this fried okra....oh man. That's some hard to come by good stuff. Cornmeal coating, piping hot and great favor....it made my day!!!“
“This is a really good cart. Owner/chef was very nice and answered questions about the menu/daily specials. Had the chicken plate, which was excellent. Chicken was mouth watering good, cornbread was filling, and the beans/greens/mac complemented well. Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting this cart pod.“
“Came on a Monday, when he doesn't have his barbequed meats. Still entirely worth the trip, as the sides (collard greens, corn bread, mac and cheese) alone were worth the trip. The mac and cheese in particular (new recipe) is superb. Add a well fried chicken, and a great dinner was had.“
