“Their chair-side guacamole was so absolutely amazing I had a hard time what to do when my fish & shrimp tacos came. Blanca was our server and made our guac just to our liking by asking how we wanted.

The bar offers a quick seating most of the time (as we often go without a reservation later evening) as well as the patio seating is lovely and perfect for me as I’m always cold. I’m dreaming already about going back. Thank you for your friendly service and great Mexican food and atmosphere!“

“We just got BBQ to go from Dickey's BBQ now located next to the MOD pizza in the Cruse Meadows Commons off Meadows Rd. It takes a lot of faith to open up a new venture at any time and especially now. This is a chain and the owner is local. We tried the brisket, pulled pork and spare ribs. All had good flavor and were very tender. The ribs had a nice smoke ring and were falling off the bone. All the sides were good except we didn't love the beans. I liked the potato casserole (basically loaded mashed potatoes) and the cabbage slaw was like what you get it KFC or Safeway deli but not as sweet. We tried 3 sauces - Classic, Carolina and Sweet. Enjoyed all of them. They run a $12.99 special of the day that rotates and offer a free kids meal on Sundays with regular entree orders. Loyalty points are available thru their app. If you haven't tried them yet, reward their leap of faith and get your good bbq grub on.“

“My husband and I have been looking for a good barbecue spot for some time and this spot DELIVERED in every way. Their nachos (we got burnt ends as our meat) were some of the best, if not best, I’ve ever had and incredibly filling. Not like most restaurants where only the top chips get covered, they serve it on a tray so eeeeeeverything is smothered in the delicious cheese and toppings. “I have had BBQ across the United States and this is on the higher end. This is one of places I will go back to. Service is quick, prices are great and you can't beat the food. Only complaint I have is I like a finer chop and a tangy dressing. So I would give Hog Wild a 4 1/2 stars, great job guys.“

“This is one of my favorite places in Portland. Here is the review after over 2 years of dining here. They offer authentic Chinese Street BBQ which I couldn’t find back then. I like to order extra spicy, but I don't recommend it if you don't have a very high tolerance for spice. My must-order items are skewers (beef, pork belly, squid, chicken gizzard, chives, potato) and enoki beef aluminum box with rice vermicelli. Their oyster is pretty good too.

The service becomes more contactless as they develop but the tip suggestion starts from 18% doesn't make sense since there is very minimal service. Also you can't expect friendly service from a Chinese restaurant 😁

They have two kinds of brisket moist or tender & the tender was dry, but the moist was delicious & tender. The beans were cold & not very good, but the cole slaw was delicious which is hard to find in a restaurant. You can order sandwiches if you want to eat light or a meat salad which some people did & said it was delicious. The French fries were hot & very nasty. A meal with a drink will cost you just over $20 a person, but you will leave full. The picture is my plate of moist brisket, cole slaw, French fries & the piece of bread you get. You pick your meat, two sides & it comes with bread.“

“This place is amaaaazing! Our teenager was asking for egusi and fufu, and when I looked up reviews it was clear this was the place to go. We ordered a ton of food for 5 people not realizing the chef was working alone, but he really came through for us, drinks and all. Every bit was so savory and delicious - my favorites were the meat pie, goat stew, and collard greens, but I tried some of everything we ordered (most of the menu) and it was all stupendous, including the blended fruit drinks. The location has more of an old punk music venue vibe so I'm glad we got it to go, but the chef says they are opening a full service restaurant location soon and we are looking forward to checking it out. Try this place, it's worth every penny.“
