“FABULOUS BBQ & OUTSTANDING PEOPLE. Patrick from Smokin Oak catered a celebration of life for us for 120 people. He was easy to communicate with from the get go and brought positivity to a hard situation. He helped me understand what was needed in order to cater the event properly. The BBQ was amazing (brisket, chicken, mac'n cheese, potato salad, beans, rolls) and, additionally, he and his staff - who also served alcohol - were personable and kind. Everything was setup just as we had planned and in place on time. Much thanks to you, Patrick, and your awesome crew! ~ karyn“
“Great stop heading in or heading out of Portland...The oyster po boy was somewhat bland but my mixed green salad was very large and yummy. My wife's Fettuccine Alfredo might be the best we have either had in our entire life (no kidding)...Terrific mixed drink selection and assortment of tap handles.Everything is reasonably priced!“
“My family and I love this place. We've come here a few times now, and I think they have the smoking down pat. The first time it was good, the second time was better and now it was great. Meat was so juicy and soft, their sides go well with the meat, and the sauces are amazing. The ribs are my favorite. Meat fell right off the bones.“
“Indulged in an authentic Southern BBQ feast at this gem of a restaurant. The slow-cooked ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, and the smoky flavor of the pulled pork was outstanding. Accompanied by classic sides like creamy mac 'n' cheese, corn bread and beans, this place delivered a true taste of southern “
“Very good BBQ. The meat was smoked well. A lot of sauce, but it did not overwhelm the flavor of the meat. The meat on the pork ribs came right off the bone. The brisket did not need a knife and came apart easily. The BBQ sauce was Tennessee style sweet and sour and not very thick. This tastes like real homemade BBQ. You can tell they put some time and effort into their cooking. I liked the coleslaw, it was not sweet and not soggy. The collared greens were good with pieces of meat mixed in the veggies. The best part was the smokey flavor and amazing seasoning of the meats.“
“Food and service was great. The table that we sat at was under a fresh air vent and it was freezing on one side of the table and it blew the smoke in the face of the people on the other side. Just that particular table. It was weird. But the food was amazing. Will go back for sure. 100% worth the money.“
“Great Korean BBQ restaurant! Have eaten here a handful of times, the food is well marinated and tasty. The service is amazing, the servers are attentive and polite every time I go. Not only is the KBBQ yummy, but also the entrees! You can do all-you-can-eat solo (by yourself), which not many places offer and are able to order non-meat options (steamed egg, corn cheese, etc.) on top of your order of meats each round. One of my favorite restaurants!“
“Tried the St Louis ribs, mac and cheese, pulled pork tacos and dirty rice. Absolutely unreal how delicious everything was. The ribs were tender and the sauce was the best i’ve ever had. Best barbecue place hands down. The owner is so friendly and knows exactly what he’s doing. Loved it!!“
