“I stopped into Sool Korean Kitchen in Hazel Dell with two friends for lunch, and we had an excellent experience. We ordered bibimbap all around—one with beef, and two of us chose the seafood version. Let me tell you, the seafood bibimbap was outstanding! It was incredibly flavorful, with a deep, earthy spice that packed a definite kick without overwhelming the dish (served in blazing hot stone pot).

One of my favorite things is discovering restaurants like this tucked away in what looks like an ordinary strip mall. Sool Korean Kitchen is exactly the kind of hidden gem that surprises you with both the quality of the food and the care put into the experience.

The chef even came out to check on us and ask how everything was. We all agreed that it was an excellent lunch from start to finish. The food was delicious, the service was warm and welcoming, and the overall experience left a great impression.

I will definitely be a repeat customer and look forward to trying more dishes from the menu. Highly recommended!“

“after a long wait of 20 minutes, we got a table to celebrate SVD, we ordered food and we were really hungry, after 20 minutes of nobody coming by or the server even asking if we got anything, a guy from the kitchen comes to ask if we got our food, I asked him to cancel our order, wich by the way was not even started! The organization of this place is terrible and the customer service is worthless, don't waste your time. Unless you want your night out ruined by a bad restaurant“

“Definitely a place to visit 🤎 The gyoza were nice, full and juicy. The Spicy Pork and Kung Pao Chicken were savory and the sauce was delicious!! The yakisoba and rice were both fantastic! 😋 While we were dining, Sam, the manager came out to greet us.. very friendly and was very kind and appreciative. Another awesome thing about this place is the excellent service and clean tables!! Reasonable prices as well! The menu has so many options, I look forward to going back and trying other menu items. “This was my second time at Frybaby, and I had to bring my friend so she could experience the Korean fried chicken with Snow Cheese since she'd never had either. Theirs, imo, is the best ive had in wa/or. It was just as good as I remembered.

The chicken wings are so crispy and light while still being incredibly juicy. And the Snow Cheese is such a good sweet and savory topping. It kind of reminds me of honey mustard in the best way. It balances two completely different flavors and somehow makes them work together perfectly.

We also tried the kimchi mac. I was expecting more of a traditional creamy mac and cheese with pieces of kimchi mixed in, but it was more like a pasta with a kimchi-flavored white sauce. I personally would have preferred something cheesier with actual pieces of kimchi throughout. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t quite what I was expecting from a kimchi mac.

The cucumber salad was another highlight. It was fresh, crunchy, flavorful, and a really nice contrast to the richness of the fried chicken and pasta.

If you’re looking for Korean fried chicken in Portland, Frybaby is definitely worth checking out. The Snow Cheese chicken is the thing I’d recommend most, especially if you like that sweet and savory combination. It’s the kind of dish that makes you immediately understand why you had to come back for it.“

“One of the best Korean restaurants in town! We drive 40 minutes just to eat here, even though there are plenty of Korean restaurants near us. Nothing compares to Bibim.

Not only is the food consistently delicious, but it's also a family-owned business, which makes the experience even more special. Their daughter is one of the kindest people you'll meet, she always goes above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome.

Every dish is full of flavor, fresh, and made with so much care. If you haven't tried Bibim yet, you're seriously missing out on some of the best Korean food around.

I get the pork belly and the slightly higher price point verses other carts is well-worth it, as there's easily enough for leftovers. You will have to physically restrain yourself from finishing it, though.“

“I’ve been coming to JCD Korean BBQ for almost a year now, and I’ve loved it from the very first visit. The food is absolutely amazing, and even after trying other Korean BBQ restaurants, nothing compares to JCD. The quality, flavor, and overall experience keep us coming back every time.

“This was my first time going here and I needed to write a review as soon as I finished my meal. I know a lot of people say they found the best spot when it comes to wings but they are all wrong. I don’t mean to glaze but it’s deserved. These wings were the best wings I’ve had in a while. The service was great. The girl at the cash register was extremely kind and I am happy she added those side sauces because they were delicious with the wings and fries. “Hands down some of, if not the, best Korean food I’ve had in Portland. Hand pulled noodles were delightfully spicy, kimchi had a really nice kick as well, and the Galbi Bulgogi had my boyfriend and I shaking our heads in disbelief and satisfaction. Servers were super friendly and promptly brought out our drinks, sides, and silverware, while we watched the World Cup finale. “I got my food to go. I’d never been here before. The host that was going to seat me was super friendly, took me over to the take-out kiosk, showed me how to use it, and explained items on the menu. I ordered one of his suggestions and it was incredible! I’m so glad I went with his suggestion. I made my order, paid for it on the kiosk, and about 10 minutes later, the host brought my meal. “I’m 33 and I have been coming here since I was in high school (St. Mary’s alums will understand), and the owner always recognizes me and still remembers my order to this day even though I have gone months and even years in between visits sometimes. She is so sweet and prepares the food with care; I usually get the veggie yakisoba and I’ve never been disappointed. Their peanut sauce is my favorite. Their food is still reasonably priced, so definitely tip if you’re able!

It’s a smallish spot with not a ton of indoor seating, but I always get my food to go anyway. Parking can sometimes be a little tricky during peak traffic, but if you’re willing to walk a block or two you should be fine.“

“A lot of places make artisan donuts, but end up overcomplicating them. Mochinut has a wide selection of mochi donuts that are soft and so very flavorful! It is not necessary to add so much to a donut that it weighs as much as you will once you've eaten it; they have delicious glazes with minimal toppings, and it comes out great!“
