“I tried for lunch one day and went back with my wife the next day so she could try. I will say first time I got the Macho King sauce it was not as spicy as I led to believe, but the next time it was hella spicy. Delicious either way, but may be a Russian roulette situation so be careful! The fries and whatever orange sauce they provide with them are outrageously good too. Very friendly staff.“

“Yes. This place is good. I got the “spicy chicken strips.” They were beautifully fried and crisp. I like my heat and they were not spicy. Still an enjoyable texture, however.
Their side tenders came with pickled radish which was refreshing and not too sweet.
Their side of kimchi mac was a star. Slightly spicy and tasty.
I think when I come again, I want to try their curry mash as that’s suppose to be unique as well.
The pricing was reasonable.“

“Love the concept. Wood fired meats. Korean BBQ fusion. All in a beautiful space.
We sat at the counter with the heat from the fire warming our faces and watched the cooks crank out dish after dish.
I know there's some debate about value, but I gotta say we ended up with at least two meals because we couldn't finish everything we ordered and took home enough for another quality meal at home.“

“A fried chicken sando… that instantly lets you know what you have been missing in life!
It’s not for a picky eater! This sando is for people who love food, and are okay with things as it comes!
The guy was SUPER SUPER NICE! Huge smile and friendly.
Thank you for the amazing food and service!“

“We discovered this place and on our way home decided to pick up some food. I ordered the 16 piece Yang yum chicken, and the Beef Bulgogi with the mandu potstickers. Everything was absolutely delicious. I have friends who adopted a Korean boy a while and they included me in the gotcha day celebration at a Korean BBQ which was delicious too. this place is the bomb. I highly recommend Hearty K-Bop.“

“My son and I got the Korean fried chicken bentos. This is some of the best Korean fried chicken I’ve had in the NW. I loved the thin strips of seasoned scallion they added to my bento. And my son and I loved the red bean rice. It reminded me of my mom’s homemade red bean rice. I loved the warm, clean indoor dining area. I will be back to eat here again!“

“I visited here alone for my birthday, and the experience was wonderful. The staff were so kind and welcoming—they even surprised me with free French fries! It made me feel less lonely and was honestly one of the best gifts I received for my birthday.
Regarding the food, I ordered the Half and Half (Soy Garlic & King Spicy), and both were top-notch. I also tried the new Cheese Wings, which were perfectly savory and crunchy.
I’ll definitely be back for the food, the service, and the genuine kindness I felt here 🤍“

“Best Tteokbokki I’ve ever had….I’m so glad I live close to this mom and pop Korean restaurant. They make favorite Tteokbokki that I’ve ever had (my go-to order is spicy tteokbokki no fishcake but add cheese). It’s so flavorful. The sauce is flavorful with the added cabbage, carrots, onions, and an herb (i’m blanking on the name of).
I recommend trying it. It is actually spicy (as someone that tolerates spice well). Adding photos of my last few visits.
I’ve also had the dolsot bibimbap, edemame, Japchae (these options are also vegetarian upon request)“

“Best Korean wings ever!! I’m obsessed with the sauce, especially the mandoo sauce 😍 The shrimp noodles are sooo good too..the shrimp tastes super fresh (not fishy at all), and the noodles are made from starch. And OMG you have to try the ribs 🤤 sooo goooood!!“

“soooo good!! My favorites are the brisket and beef bulgogi. The steamed egg is also amazing. Like a tiny souffle! various condiments... i think next time I'll do a la carte of the meat portions. mostly because after two rounds of AYCE I'm overstuffed and no taking leftovers... can't wait to go back!“

“I have only been here once, but I can't wait to go back. The bulgogi bibimbap was so flavorful, and such a generous portion. And kimchi was the tastiest I have ever had. The service was very friendly and kind, and fast. I can't wait to try more menu items.“

“What a great experience and lovely food! The woman who waited me today was very patient and kind. She explained a better deal for what I was wanting to eat. She also offered me a to-go container and more of a side I wanted to pack and take with me. I highly recommend the Curry Tofu and be sure to try the seaweed side.“

“Food is amazing! I got 3 tacos - spicy pork, bulgogi beef, and teriyaki chicken. All were delicious, but the spicy pork and bulgogi beef were my favorites. Would definitely recommend and stop here again when visiting Portland!“

“Solid teriyaki, consistent, flavorful, good portions, and a great place that has lasted and endured. I like the salad, the vibe, a great lunch spot. Call it in and just know it’s popular and busy, it’s worth it. It’s busy for a reason and they usually have it on point during the rush. Great community, and like I said, solid. You know if you go, and if you go, you know.“

“This was one of the most enchanting, beautiful and downright fun meals I've had in Portland. We've lived down Hawthorne from this place for forever and finally tried it and it was SUCH a delight.
The portions. The atmosphere. The flavors. The presentation. The friendliness!
I ordered the seafood ramen and the best way I can encapsulate it is this: if you ever find yourself going on a first - no, SECOND - date with someone, come here and share the seafood ramen together. You will discover so much about each other.
This ramen is layers on layers on layers. It is endless. You will discover sea creatures you didn't know existed. It is a bounty. It is a treasure chest. It is a journey.
The whole experience was just so magical. Everything from the wonderful staff helping us pick out menu items, to the sake flight, to the gigantic and gorgeous ramen bowls, was perfection ❤️❤️❤️“

“I recently visited Fomo Chicken, and I'm happy to say that the food has really improved over the years. The soy garlic fried chicken I had was delicious, and I appreciated the amount food I got for my money. While the customer service was okay, it was the food that stole the show. The flavor of the fried chicken was spot on, and it's clear that they've made strides in providing a better dining experience. If you're a fan of soy garlic fried chicken, this place is definitely worth a visit. Overall, a tasty and satisfying meal!“

“This is our favorite go to authentic Chinese restaurant in Portland. The food is fresh, hot, and so delicious. The owner is very nice and knows us by name. It's nice to find a place in Portland where my family can order in their native tongue (Cantonese) and have a full conversation.
Our favorite dishes that we pretty much always get is the salt and pepper fish, sweet and sour pork, and the Happy Family. We've tried many other dishes as well and they were all very good.“
“Good food and good drinks.“
“I've been to this food truck park a few times and for some reason I never ate at this particular truck, but today was the day! Now I'm mad that I didn't try it sooner. The chicken was so tender and cooked to perfection along with the veggies. I'll probably go back and try something else tomorrow.“

“This is by far the best Chinese food in Portland. My girlfriend's family (who are Chinese) adores this place. We come here at least twice a month and are known by name.
Our favorite dishes are the Sweet and Sour Pork, Salt & Pepper Fish, and Happy Family, but you can't go wrong with most things on the menu.“

“Decent price for all you can eat Korean BBQ; prices range per package with the main difference being seafood and offal. You get frozen or marinated meats you cook on a hot grill. There are also entrees you can order, but that’s not what you come here for unless you are pressed for time.“

“Its like your at your grandma house. She's sometimes mean but the food its full of love. Most of the side dishes have a hint of ginger catering towards the old folks. But it makes the food warm and delicious even in the hot weather. Yes the service is harsh but don't take it too deeply since the old folks there are a little rough but in the end your there food the good food :)“
