“Always delicious and great service! I highly recommend the cinnamon rolls. It is huge, so it can definitely be shared. I got two cocktails at brunch, a bloody Mary and a Moroccan coffee, and both were really good. The atmosphere is inviting, and you feel like you are having a meal at a friend's place. Three of us decided to share the breakfast platter and the eggs Benedict. Everything was so good, and we had leftovers. They are usually pretty busy regardless of the day/time, so plan on waiting.Parking: Parking is kinda tight and it can be difficult to find a spot close by sometimes.”

“Another great Indian restaurant my former favorites really fell in quality and flavor after Covid, and so I’m thrilled this place lives up to the hype! Friendly lady at the front! The tikka masala was flavorful and savory. Chicken biryani was excellent! Naan was a bit too soft for my preference, and reminded me of a thicker tortilla. My husband prefers it that way.”

“Oh, let me tell you about Crumbl cookies! It's an amazing place to satisfy your sweet tooth. Not only do they have delicious cookies, but their customer service is top-notch. They're super friendly and attentive, making your experience even more enjoyable. Plus, they're lightning-fast when it comes to packing everything up. It's like they have a cookie assembly line! Overall, I would give them a solid 10 out of 10. Crumbl cookies is definitely a must-visit spot for cookie lovers!??”

“Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles are the best here in this snoozeville of a town. It came with fresh bean sprouts and lime. The portions were for adults, not for infants. I would recommend them over any other place. Just be careful, the prices on their website are a lot lower than what you actually paid. Prices can change with notice.”

We then proceeded to order food in which I ordered the Plato Aguachile and she ordered a Sope with Carne Asada and some mexican corn. Everything tasted fresh and amazing.”

“The drinks and food were phenomenal my husband got the chimichanga and could not say enough how it is the best he’s ever had. I had the stuffed piquillo peppers with a green salad it was all so flavorful and just the right balance of texture taste and flavors. I also had a grapefruit cocktail that I can’t remember the name of but it was flavorful & very refreshing. The service was patient helpful and friendly. I highly recommend Xicha if you enjoy really good food and want to excite your palate.”

“This is a great breakfast spot. I really really like it here but I can't give 5 stars because there are just some things that bring the experience down. That being said, it is definitely a top 3 breakfast spot for me in Salem. It is very busy! Very! So unless you go on a weekday you can expect to wait an hour and since the waiting area (porch) is small it really only holds like 10 people so be prepared in case you are waiting outside or in your car. The food is good, the flying biscuit and the cinnamon roll pancake are staples for us. On occasion you may get a random act of yumminess, meaning you get a free menu item sent to you. The last time we went the sides were subpar. The scrambled eggs were cooked and slightly dry on the outside and undercooked on the inside, the bacon was also cooked to oblivion. I imagine the sides were cooked ahead of time and the mains cooked to order. It's not perfect but I still enjoyed it overall.Wheelchair accessibility: This is the farthest from a wheelchair accessible location. There are stairs up into the building and walkways are tight and not Ada complaint.”

“This is far and away my favorite small business… no, favorite business of ANY kind in Salem. The first time I came it was magical and every visit since has been also. I’ve been about 10 times total and now I make sure to come at least once a week or more. They’re kind and helpful and so lovely. Every single thing we’ve tried on the menu is brilliant. The atmosphere is calm, well decorated, clean, and authentic. I love the little fidget toys and lovely books to look at while we wait (but they are fast!). The quality of the tea, boba, and beverages in general is absolutely stunning. I might be something of a tea snob too tbh? Given our other boba choices in Salem, well, let’s just say this one is superior (to my fam and I) in a big way. This is coming from someone who spends a lot of time in Portland, Corvallis, and Eugene also, so I’ve had my fair share of teas and boba. I will do everything in my power to help this family stay in business for the long-haul. I am an absolute fan for life now. All I can say is everything about the shop is perfect and fills me with joy. I hope they will make shirts, beanie, &/or hats so that I can wear them and tell people about this brilliant little tea shop in our city.Vegetarian options: Milk options for vegans too!Dietary restrictions: We have vegan and vegetarians in our family and everyone finds something delicious on this menu.”

“I started eating here pre-covid and loved that they had a kid's play area. That went away through covid so we went less. Then we needed space to facilitate a support group and we used the board room. It was amazing and the staff was great. Now that we know about the board room we sometimes book it and bring toys so we can have a meal out without the kids going bonkers.”

“Sat in a booth. Large amounts of space in the both. Sometimes controversial… but my uncles big belly would be comfortable here.. I got the grilled cheese with goat cheese and tomatoes and enjoyed it. I also got a lavender gin sour— it was amazing that I ended up with a second. My entire bill including tip was $30!!! & that was a Monday night Dinner! There was also a game room and a lounge seating I would’ve liked to explore. “This place was delicious and very reasonably priced. We went kind of crazy and ordered a bunch of food, and it was a lot less than we thought It was going to be price wise. While the quality was better than expected and amazing. The outside looks kind of like a dive but don’t let that fool you. The inside is nice, and the food is amazing.”

Despite that, they were so sweet about offering another dish and even taking the first off our check; all without us asking.Excellent customer service aside, Chen's has a very relaxing atmosphere and comfortable seating in booths or at tables. On top of that, our food was quickly served and very tasty.For more detail, we ordered the Sesame Chicken, which turned out to be more of a stir fry with onions. My wife has an onion allergy, but it was completely our fault for not asking. I've never seen Sesame Chicken served with onions, and I didn't consider it, but you never know! I was still happy with the dish overall, and she ended up getting the sweet and sour chicken instead. It was crispy, excellently breaded, and fried white chicken. With a fantastic sauce.Overall, it is a real hidden gem in Salem. If you're looking for great customer service in a soothing atmosphere with delicious food, give them a chance.Parking: We arrived at 7:30pm and found more than ample parking available.”
