The bread loaf we bought to go was not Challah as we ordered. I was willing to look past not braided.
The ciabatta bread was burnt on the bottom of my chicken sandwich.
Use to love this place.
One of my husband and I’s FAVORITE places to dine together. Their waitstaff are always incredibly sweet, accommodating and knowledgeable. Their portions are generous,,,I always leave with a Togo box and a smile.
I love going during the week when they are less busy,,, however, I get the hype and they are well worth the wait if there is one. 10/10 ladies. 🫶🏼 Thank you for another great meal and experience. You all are the best.
I've been eating here for 8 years, anytime I'm in Salem. The service is usually wonderful and everyone is friendly and kind. I was in town for a big conference today and I told everyone that I saw, to go to WOM for lunch. I regret that now and I will be updating them all tomorrow and telling them not to bother.

Word of Mouth Neighborhood Bistro is a popular restaurant known for its delicious food and great service. Breakfast standouts include the Plate of Love, with either vegetarian or regular hash, and the Creme Brûlée French toast. The chicken biscuit and fluffy blueberry pancakes are also popular choices. The portions are generous, making it worth the price. Visitors have noticed that everything is fresh and flavorful, from the salad to the soft bread in sandwiches. While there may be a wait and limited parking, especially on weekends, the friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere make it an ideal spot for brunch with friends. Lunch is also recommended, and many agree that the experience is worth the wait. Drinks are amazing and the food is to die for. Service is like never before, with genuinely delightful employees. The place is a local hidden gem, a cozy house converted to a restaurant. Visitors expect to wait, but the food is gourmet, with tastes and flavors of what you expect from a fancy restaurant. The portions are huge and worth the price, even for a lot of dishes.
