“We had a great experience trying Gursha Eats. None of us had ever tried Ethiopian cuisine and didn’t really know what to expect. Azi was so welcoming and took the time to explain each dish and make recommendations. The food was delicious as was the Tej (honey wine) and traditional Ethiopian Coffee. We ordered the Awdamet Gursha, which includes several dishes and was enough for 2 with some to take home. Everything was amazing and we will definitely be back!”

The staff were fantastic. A big shout out to Josh Gil one of the ambassadors. His tour and information was exceptional. Outside being a Lions fan, he was great. Def coming to visit again soon and enjoy more wine.”

“I have to say we were super impressed with Retro Burger Co. we had a pretty large order, 8 burgers of different kinds, 4 onion rings, 2 hot fries and 1 regular fries plus’s sides of sauces. Every single things was right, which rarely happens when ordering take out for a large group. The burger I had was delicious (the footloose) and the hot fries are generously seasoned which just made them so good the onion rings perfectly crispy. Highly recommend. And the chipotle aïoli Really has a kick. EVERYONE was satisfied which is saying something in this house lol. Also price was reasonable. We will for sure be return customers. “Wow, the chicken is so good that I cannot think of a word to use to describe it! What my family loves is that each person gets to choose how hot their entree is and that's pretty cool. The menu isnt huge which is helpful when we're ordering for 5 or 6 family members- it makes ordering simple! The place is always busy which usually means the food is great, but the wait is always really quick. The atmosphere is fun and the staff are all energetic and kind! We try to get Dave's Hot Chicken once or twice a month and we never get tired of it! My teens absolutely LOVE it!”

“The staff and management were very kind to me and my family. I order several pizzas while my children were with me. I placed the pizzas on my car so I could secure my children in their car seata but forgot about the pizzas before I departed. I had to return to order the same set again, expecting no special treatment because it was my fault for allowing myself to be distracted. The employee who took my repeat order voluntarily decided to check with the manager and the store gave me half off. That was very nice.”

We recently discovered El Toto Taqueria, and I can’t say enough good things about it!

From the moment we arrived, owners Evelyn and Louis were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. And they can COOK!

Everything was wonderfully fresh and full of flavor. The guacamole was some of the best I’ve had in ages — fresh, delicious, and a very generous portion. I had the steak and eggs, which were cooked perfectly, and the smashed Yukon potatoes were crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious.

You can tell there is real care and pride going into the food here. Great people, excellent food, generous portions, and the kind of locally owned restaurant you really want to see succeed.

El Toto Taqueria is definitely going on our “come back again and again” list. If you’re in Salem, give Evelyn and Louis a try — you won’t be disappointed! ❤”
