About Tong King | Garden Restaurant

Tong King | Garden Restaurant was once a hidden gem known for delicious food and friendly service. Although the exterior might not have caught everyone's eye, the dishes were highly praised. The fried rice, ramen, and lemon iced tea were recommended favorites. Diners enjoyed the authentic flavors of eggrolls, crab Rangoon, spicy beef ramen, and yakisoba, showcasing the chef's love for cooking with fresh ingredients and well-seasoned meats. The honeydew Boba, while not as frozen as expected, was still a tasty treat. However, the restaurant is now out of business and has been replaced by a new establishment called Hong Kong Garden. The new owners are noted for their friendliness and fantastic food, including dishes like tonkatsu ramen and dumplings. Some previous favorites, like Mongolian beef and fried rice, received mixed reviews, with some diners mentioning issues with the preparation. Despite this, the new restaurant aims to provide a memorable dining experience that encourages guests to return and try more menu items.

Came here on recommendation from sister even though I had doubts. Come to find out this might be the best Chinese food in Salem. I had lamb strir fry and my wife had spices crispy shrimp; both were delicious.

This is real deal authentic Sichuan food. It's absolutely packed with flavor and these lovely people do not hold back with with the spice level which is rare in Salem. I had the beef hot pot, beef in chile oil, and chongquing spicy chicken and they were excellent. Very spicy and full of flavor. I also tried the Yang Zhou fried rice and it was easily the best fried rice i've ever had. I seek out places like this where ever I happen to be and this place is gold.
