“My husband and I stopped by while in the area for a wedding. We looked up best Mexican food on Lancaster and they did not disappoint! The food was incredible and the service wonderful! The homemade tortillas were delicious and they brought me a homemade hot sauce with some incredible heat. We had the fajitas trio and the chilaquiles rellenos de queso, both were some of the best Mexican food we have had.

There also some cute spots to take a picture or two! 10/10“

“I feel so lucky to live near Monarca because it is by far my favorite spot in town! They make the best breakfast burritos, but emphasis on their veggie breakfast for actually including yummy veggies. Most places will give you a burrito with egg, potato, and cheese if you don’t want meat. I’ve tried many other items and never have had anything bad. 10/10 recommend + their friendly service is an added bonus!“

“Have driven by this establishment many times, finally stopped. What a gem! The place is unassuming but very clean. Came for breakfast, surprisingly large selection. We got breakfast burritos. Very affordable. They were huge, and excellent quality. Did I happen to say huge? Cheese, potatoes, eggs, your choice of breakfast meats and cooked to perfection. I added refried beans, crema, onions, cilantro and the salsa that came with chips...excellent! The waitstaff were friendly and helpful to non Latinos. Would I eat here again? Absolutely 💯!!! “Grandma’s is just a little food truck. She has a picnic table outside that you can sit at. I chose to sit in my car and eat. It’s right behind the Pilot truckstop off of I-5. She offers breakfast lunch and dinner and will customize your burrito. However you want it. It’s a limited menu but very delicious. Don’t forget to tip grandma she deserves it!“

“This is easily our favorite sit-down Mexican restaurant in the Salem area. We haven’t found a single thing on the menu we don’t like, and the carne asada is absolutely perfect.

As someone from Southern California, I can be a little picky about Mexican food, and this place actually hits the mark. Good flavors, great portions, and they even have horchata, which automatically earns bonus points.

“Took my granddaughter for her birthday 🎂 the food was excellent and the birthday singing and dessert presentation was unexpected and the most charming ever. This place fantastic. We had the cloths appetizers and in addition to the expected chips and salsa was bean dip so again another unexpected delight. My granddaughter had the birria tacos and the presentation for that was impressive as well.“

What caught my eye was the birria egg rolls, so I thought I’d give them a try, and boy am I glad I did. I opted for the avocado salsa and that made them even more yummy.
