“This place is OK With Me!!!when they brought out my food I wasn’t happy because my eggs were on top of my gravy, but they fixed it and so I was OK but my gravy and potatoes were cold I had chicken fried steak. They were really nice. They took it off. My daughter was satisfied with her food. I was satisfied with my eggs in my toast so overall their food is delicious and decent. I just have to order different when I come next time, but I will be Back. my daughter had the churro waffles and they looked good and they smelled good and she said they were delicious so overall the food is good.“

“Real neat place with fun staff. I got the Beast and the Beauty sandwich, and it was huge! Absolutely delicious with a ton of meat and delicious toppings. My friend got a gluten free Rose City smashburger, and it was on a sliced sandwich bread that got toasted but no complaints from them. Definitely recommend.

Dietary restrictions: Seems like the only gluten free bread they have is sliced loaf bread.“

Every dish I’ve tried always exceeds my expectations. Patrick is dedicated in his work and wants every single customer to experience the best. That’s what I love about Patrick, he will go out of his way to make sure you get to experience the full potential of every single one of his dishes. He’s always trying to find ways to improve his dishes every single day (which I’m not sure how that’s possible when it’s already the best) but that’s just the type of guy he is, always wanting to do better. Enjoyed the complimentary dill popcorn but not my partner bc there's something about it that keeps going up our nostrils ?‍♀️.
We enjoyed the hangar steak done medium rare. The grilled veggie dishes like the broccolini and summer squash were enjoyable too.
The cocktail that i enjoyed was the Old Sway with rye, bitters, and orange peel.

Happy hour food/drinks menu available from 4-6pm on Mon- Sat, and 5-9pm on Sun.

“A stunning experience. When I walked in I was greeted by the most charming host who quickly sat my party of five. We had all just arrived from a weekend in Saint Tropez and was properly famished. The atmosphere reminded me of places I often frequent in Berlin: atmospheric, warm, and intimate. Our food arrived promptly and the plating was perfect. Honest and delicious, I licked the plate as it felt right. Once I’m back from Ibiza this is the first stop I’ll make.

“Wow. What can I say...this place has the best drinks and burgers in town! My husband tried the lamb burger, and I tried the Elk burger. Both burgers were soon delicious and just filled with flavor!!! I really enjoyed eating there! And the drinks were really good as well. It's a must stop place to get yourself a quick bite.“

“My friend and I visit here every Friday evening. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. Especially Jason. He remembers regulars, and is very genuinely caring about the people he serves. The servers, including Lupita, are very prompt and nice. Your drinks never go empty! We prefer this location because it’s not only open until 10pm, but because we have had such pleasant experiences with the staff. Food is pretty darn good too! Fresh breakfast meats and French toast! “Ate here with my family in October 2024. Nice sunny, chilly day visiting Portland. I had the chicken sandwich and it was delicious. My boys had burgers and loved them. The lemonade was delicious but expensive for the little cup. In a little section off the street with 3 other food trucks, and some outdoor picnic seating. We had no problem parking around the corner, but no parking right in front. Free water and cups are available in the seating area.“

“Love McMenamins, they have consistently good food, music, low lighting, beautiful art, lovely places, all of them.

However, this particular location has an issue with their service. At times, you'll be forgotten about or outright ignored while the servers chat it up with each other at the bar. They OFTEN just stand around talking to each other for long stretches.

It's fine to socialize at work in this type of environment, sure, not opposed to that. But when I'm sitting waiting for 15 mins and no one approaches to take my order or serve me water, all while laughing and talking about their pets at the bar, it reflects very poorly.“

Our server is so kind, attentive, and consistent, always making us feel like we’re his favorite customers—he really adds something special to the experience.

“Generally very nice. Expensive for the small servings.

The beet salad was excellent and a lovely combo of tastes and textures. The halibut entree was good but not outstanding. Too much of a generic cream sauce and not nearly as interesting as the salad. The ice cream was good.

The olives and marcona almond snacks were both unusually tasty. I was annoyed that the server whisked them away (there were some left) while I was briefly away from the table.

Dietary restrictions: It would be helpful if the menu would specify dairy free and gluten free options.

Something that has, as our server put it, ‘only a little flour’ won’t work at all for many people and highlights that she doesn’t understand the risks of gluten for some diners.“
