“The place was extremely busy and there seemed to be only one waitress on the floor, but she seated, provided menus, took orders and delivered the food all in a very timely manner. She was working her buns off and was still very pleasant and accommodating. “This is such a great place to grab great food before you are in the city. This location even has outdoor seating and that is great on a warm day. My server was Caleb and he made my dining experience delightful. He took great care of me and he was very friendly and helpful when I needed something. Food was great and the atmosphere is always a delight.“

“This review is based on our last few minutes paying the bill, everything else was top notch. Our group of 4 was chatting when our bills arrived and continued to visit, and our waiter came by to gather abit later and told him it was ready. At this time we Bagan to review our bills to pay one with a card and we were paying cash. As soon as I placed the cash in their bifold and placed on the table another waiter came to the table and stated being just like our waiter and dressed similarly. Worth noting she was about 110 5 foot or so with our waiter at 220 plus and 6ft or so wit a great beard. I stated that our waiter had much bigger feet and a great beard with my wife commenting about our matching hairlines... lol right. No next thing we get is she identifies as law enforcement and proceeds to walk away with an elevated voice "I'll kick beat you down" I turned left to my friend and sain now she wants to wrestle. At this point mist people are watching and then just short of screaming she yells "I'll Kick your A$$". And indeed the entire restaurant is watching on what was going on, I simply went back to visiting with our group not knowing what was next. Not long afterwards our waiter walked by and as he did thank me for the tip. No follow up from management nothing. So probably about 15 minutes after this a few other groups had left and we started our departure and still nothing. Over the years we have been here many times as a couple and a few large groups, after this event not to sure we could return for an enjoyable dining experience with their staff threatening some ones life unprovoked. “Wonderful food and a true mom and pop shop. It's a small and quaint restaurant, definitely reserve a table if you're planning to eat in. We went at dinner time and it was pretty busy. Waited about 20 minutes for take out and it was worth it! The wienerschnitzel sandwich was great and the cherry cheese pastry is so good!“

“I've always had decent food here at Bannings. This morning I ordered Pumpkin pancakes.....what a disappointment. The pumpkin batter needed salt added to it and it also could have used a bit more sugar in the batter. The syrup was not real maple syrup but table top ad says, "warm maple syrup," so I expected real maple syrup. It also says, "whipped butter." I asked the waiter about the maple syrup and he told me it was "artificial" maple and argued the fact that the restaurant never said "real" maple syrup. Maybe the butter is whipped margarine...who knows what liberties are taken in menu descriptions. I'm a "real" maple syrup customer.“

“Cute little place that smells like delicious food! I kept it simple with just sunny side up eggs and home fries. The eggs were a tad runny but they were so good I didn’t care. The home fries were a winner! So good and so well seasoned. I saw the eggs Benedict go out and I kind of wish I had ordered that they also looked great! A lot of regular customers come in and the staff all know them and their orders which is really cool I don’t see that too often. Oh and they have nice outdoor seating for larger parties. If you’re short on time but starving definitely stop here, good food and it’s served quickly.“

“Found The Buffalo Gap last weekend while attending a bike Show. About a mile from my stay and way better than the Boujie hotel I was at. The Bartenders and Waitresses were all awesome Great service, nice smiles and great food and drink. Thank you all I appreciate you and my new hoodie.“

“Street disco has a cool vibe from the minute you walk in! The music, the welcome and the atmosphere were on point!
Our server had such a fun vibrant personality and was extremely knowledgeable! The plates are small so encouraged to share and recommended to order 10-12 plates for the five of us. My favorite plates were the snap pea salad and the carrots with lots of flavor and fun flavor profiles! Our table was extremely satisfied with all of our choices.
My only complaint was the literal two bites of Octopus, if I had realized that I would have ordered something different. The pork belly and meatballs were more of a satisfying portion

“Love love love this place. One a street where there has been a lot on construction changes and old buildings being torn down, this place has taken advantage of square footage in a home. Both covered and not covered outside seating areas. In door has a great bar! Customer Service is amazing, even when its busy. The Beer, fantastic! I tried all of them on tap. Bathrooms are large. Food was amazing! I highly recommend.“

“The Limelight is my go to happy hr place! Their menu is fantastic and the food is some of the best happy hour food I have had around town. Their Limelight Harvest Salad is always fresh and filling and adding a little protein makes it a complete meal.
Being a whiskey girl, the cherry infused Maker's Mark Manhattan never disappoints, but beware, one does it's job.
Lastly, I have met some amazing people there (and their dogs) which only adds to each amazing memory created there.“

“The food was so delicious. I love cooking but have not eaten anything this good. The Coconut Tilapia was so delicious, The oxtail, plantain, veggies, rice, chapati were so good. The food was delivered many miles away yet it was still very warm and very hygienically packed. If I lived in Portland, I would eat here as many times but unfortunately I'm in a different state but whenever I would visit Portland I would definitely eat at Amani African Cuisine. “The Muddy Rudder has (in my opinion) some of the best pizza that I've had in Portland. Their menu is pretty straightforward, good appetizers, pizzas, calzones, and some sandwiches and salads. Their beer list is ever-changing and always very good, there is a full bar so options for boozy drinks are available and kids can even get their own Shirley Temples, lime-aid, etc.
The staff is always friendly and the music is always great, whether it is played over the stereo or one of the many live acts they have performing on a number of nights each month.
When the weather is cold and the fireplace is burning there aren't many other places I'd rather be outside of my home.“

The awesome, kind hostesses should learn NOT to stand in the doorway when opening the door for customers, so customers will have enough space to enter the through the door. Besides that, we love it…“
