Top that off with a frosty pint, tons of TVs playing all the sports games, pool tables, friendly family atmosphere (this is a literal mom and pop business) and great service and you have the perfect place to become a regular at.

“My first time here...drove from Salem, and it was well worth the trip! Excellent service, food, entertainment and atmosphere. I had the spicy garlic shrimp appetizer and a Caesar salad. Both excellent. I will definitely be back!“

“Perfect old school burger and ice cream joint. I loved everything about it. The older gentleman taking orders was a rock star delight! The food was out so fast and it was perfect. The bacon double cheeseburger is textbook for the style. Truly, the fries were shoe string perfection. So hot, so crispy and I think cooked in tallow. My wife's burger was also perfect. The Marion berry shake was also spot on. Real! The setting was the iconic start of summer night. The fire department was there getting cones with a big truck. A kids baseball team was there. Wee tiny kiddos running around for the joy of childhood and ice cream. Many families and couples all enjoying the nice outdoor tables and warm summer night. I cannot wait to go back!!“

“My waiter was outstanding, friendly and helpful. Food not so much. It's called Biscuits so I was expecting a lot from them, but they were kind of gummy and not very crisp. The corned beef hash was odd: a lot of shredded corned beef but not very many potatoes, and the potatoes looked like slivers of onions!?!“

“My friend and I visit here every Friday evening. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. Especially Jason. He remembers regulars, and is very genuinely caring about the people he serves. The servers, including Lupita, are very prompt and nice. Your drinks never go empty! We prefer this location because it’s not only open until 10pm, but because we have had such pleasant experiences with the staff. Food is pretty darn good too! Fresh breakfast meats and French toast! The food is exceptional, which is no surprise considering it's a Your Neighborhood Restaurant Group location, which has over half a dozen chef/butcher/owner operated locations around Portland.

Quality meats and well sourced ingredients. Great selection of beer and cider, and a surprisingly diverse menu with great options for all appetites.

We've tried the smashburgers, hot sandwiches (hot honey chicken and turkey), steak salad, and the sides. All meals were well received by ages 5-45, from foodie to redneck. They look as good as they taste, which is such a nice change of pace, considering the price point, which is very fair.

We will keep supporting this location as long as it's here in our neighborhood! Great work guys!“

“Stellar ambience and amazing food. Ordered the small breakfast - eggs, bacon, toast, and potato wedges and it was all so, so good. The portion was perfectly filling. Staff was friendly and provided impeccable service. Surprisingly uncrowded for a Saturday afternoon. I loved the art on the walls and the playlist (mostly 90’s music).“

“Unfortunately, we were only there for a hot minute as we were on a mission to visit as many bars/restos as possible on our short stay in Portland. Olympia Provisions was only our first stop and we didn't want to leave! Our server and the bartender were both so nice and friendly. They didn't make us feel bad that we were only getting one round of drinks and an appetizer but rather encouraged us to try as many of Portland's great offerings as possible!
My Pastis cocktail was absolutely delicious and I wish I had the time to order 2! My sister and I narrowed down our choices to the Pheasant Liver and Foie Gras Mousse with Cranberry and Raisin Chutney and Candied Nuts! A winning choice for us!

“This is a great first date place. The food presentation was outstanding. However, we felt it was a little blan. They use RC soda products here, which are flat at the bar but have carbonation if gotten from the back. Amazing happy hour!

“This review is based on our last few minutes paying the bill, everything else was top notch. Our group of 4 was chatting when our bills arrived and continued to visit, and our waiter came by to gather abit later and told him it was ready. At this time we Bagan to review our bills to pay one with a card and we were paying cash. As soon as I placed the cash in their bifold and placed on the table another waiter came to the table and stated being just like our waiter and dressed similarly. Worth noting she was about 110 5 foot or so with our waiter at 220 plus and 6ft or so wit a great beard. I stated that our waiter had much bigger feet and a great beard with my wife commenting about our matching hairlines... lol right. No next thing we get is she identifies as law enforcement and proceeds to walk away with an elevated voice "I'll kick beat you down" I turned left to my friend and sain now she wants to wrestle. At this point mist people are watching and then just short of screaming she yells "I'll Kick your A$$". And indeed the entire restaurant is watching on what was going on, I simply went back to visiting with our group not knowing what was next. Not long afterwards our waiter walked by and as he did thank me for the tip. No follow up from management nothing. So probably about 15 minutes after this a few other groups had left and we started our departure and still nothing. Over the years we have been here many times as a couple and a few large groups, after this event not to sure we could return for an enjoyable dining experience with their staff threatening some ones life unprovoked. “What can you say? All of their locations are basically the same. And that's what I love. Consistency. Our server was fabulous and funny. The pretzel and cheese sauce were friggin awesome! The Cajun tots were insanely coated in seasoning (thank goodness for the cool Ranch sauce). And the beer was cold! It was fun sitting upstairs and being able to look down into the kitchen as they prepared our food. We will definately be back!“

“I've always had decent food here at Bannings. This morning I ordered Pumpkin pancakes.....what a disappointment. The pumpkin batter needed salt added to it and it also could have used a bit more sugar in the batter. The syrup was not real maple syrup but table top ad says, "warm maple syrup," so I expected real maple syrup. It also says, "whipped butter." I asked the waiter about the maple syrup and he told me it was "artificial" maple and argued the fact that the restaurant never said "real" maple syrup. Maybe the butter is whipped margarine...who knows what liberties are taken in menu descriptions. I'm a "real" maple syrup customer.“

The JoJo’s were a standout. Perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice, they’re dangerously easy to keep eating. They reminded me of Pringles in the best way, once you have one, it’s hard to stop.
