I've always had decent food here at Bannings. This morning I ordered Pumpkin pancakes.....what a disappointment. The pumpkin batter needed salt added to it and it also could have used a bit more sugar in the batter. The syrup was not real maple syrup but table top ad says, "warm maple syrup," so I expected real maple syrup. It also says, "whipped butter." We have only been in Tigard for a month now and have eaten at Banning's 3 times so far. They have an excellent menu and everything we have tried is excellent. The wait staff are all very friendly and helpful. We have purchased the 5 layer chocolate cake and it is delicious but too much frosting for my taste, I have also had a slice of the strawberry rubbard pie and it is also excellent. I highly recommend the strawberry lemonade as well.
