We have only been in Tigard for a month now and have eaten at Banning's 3 times so far. They have an excellent menu and everything we have tried is excellent. The wait staff are all very friendly and helpful. We have purchased the 5 layer chocolate cake and it is delicious but too much frosting for my taste, I have also had a slice of the strawberry rubbard pie and it is also excellent. I highly recommend the strawberry lemonade as well.

I've always had decent food here at Bannings. This morning I ordered Pumpkin pancakes.....what a disappointment. The pumpkin batter needed salt added to it and it also could have used a bit more sugar in the batter. The syrup was not real maple syrup but table top ad says, "warm maple syrup," so I expected real maple syrup. It also says, "whipped butter." 🥲Bannings has lost its neighborhood feel. The food was good but it was all about getting in only when all in your party are present, despite open tables, and then hurrying you through everything so they can turn the table more quickly. Our bill was delivered and paid before I was even done eating.
