Portland has become famous as a foody town and as such, it's easy to lose sight that the best food is notable for its simplicity, source, freshness and the love and attention given to preparing and presenting it. Javi's Breakfast Cafe--take note of this place. The owner Javi works tirelessly to make sure each customer is seen, considered and happy with their choices. I enjoyed the two egg and kielbasa combo, with a Mexican hot chocolate. It was all delicious, and they were willing to let me substitute breads with a fruit salad, which I greatly appreciated! It’s a cozy place, and can get a bit loud when crowded, but otherwise, a lovely place for a late morning breakfast.
