“Every thing is great.“

“This is the quintessential local fish and chips joint in the best possible way. It has a classic local old school feel with hard working friendly service. I cannot say I've had better fish and chips anywhere. They use wild Alaskan cod that is ready lightning fast. It is so crunchy, juicy, fresh and tasty that I didn't even use the malt vinegar that is usually my favorite part. The chips are hot crunchy krinkle kuts...also my favorite. The surprise treat is the tartar sauce. Its homemade and killer, not the gross stuff from a jug. The coleslaw slaw is a creamy classic slightly sweet with little or no mustard or vinegar taste. Reasonable prices and portions for quality food. This is a seemingly hidden gem. They have nice burger and sandwich options that Im dying to try, but every person in there got the fish and chips. This is a new happy place for me.“

“My friend and I visit here every Friday evening. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. Especially Jason. He remembers regulars, and is very genuinely caring about the people he serves. The servers, including Lupita, are very prompt and nice. Your drinks never go empty! We prefer this location because it’s not only open until 10pm, but because we have had such pleasant experiences with the staff. Food is pretty darn good too! Fresh breakfast meats and French toast! Thank you!“

“Unfortunately, we were only there for a hot minute as we were on a mission to visit as many bars/restos as possible on our short stay in Portland. Olympia Provisions was only our first stop and we didn't want to leave! Our server and the bartender were both so nice and friendly. They didn't make us feel bad that we were only getting one round of drinks and an appetizer but rather encouraged us to try as many of Portland's great offerings as possible!
My Pastis cocktail was absolutely delicious and I wish I had the time to order 2! My sister and I narrowed down our choices to the Pheasant Liver and Foie Gras Mousse with Cranberry and Raisin Chutney and Candied Nuts! A winning choice for us!

“This is a great first date place. The food presentation was outstanding. However, we felt it was a little blan. They use RC soda products here, which are flat at the bar but have carbonation if gotten from the back. Amazing happy hour!

“This review is based on our last few minutes paying the bill, everything else was top notch. Our group of 4 was chatting when our bills arrived and continued to visit, and our waiter came by to gather abit later and told him it was ready. At this time we Bagan to review our bills to pay one with a card and we were paying cash. As soon as I placed the cash in their bifold and placed on the table another waiter came to the table and stated being just like our waiter and dressed similarly. Worth noting she was about 110 5 foot or so with our waiter at 220 plus and 6ft or so wit a great beard. I stated that our waiter had much bigger feet and a great beard with my wife commenting about our matching hairlines... lol right. No next thing we get is she identifies as law enforcement and proceeds to walk away with an elevated voice "I'll kick beat you down" I turned left to my friend and sain now she wants to wrestle. At this point mist people are watching and then just short of screaming she yells "I'll Kick your A$$". And indeed the entire restaurant is watching on what was going on, I simply went back to visiting with our group not knowing what was next. Not long afterwards our waiter walked by and as he did thank me for the tip. No follow up from management nothing. So probably about 15 minutes after this a few other groups had left and we started our departure and still nothing. Over the years we have been here many times as a couple and a few large groups, after this event not to sure we could return for an enjoyable dining experience with their staff threatening some ones life unprovoked. “We had a late lunch/dinner at the Punch Bowl Social. The service was great, the menu had a variety to choose from and we got our food quickly. I ordered the chicken and waffles and it was delicious! Best ever with strawberries and a chipotle maple syrup. My husband ordered a New York steak and fries. It was very good as well. Brian was our server and he was great! Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He made sure we were aware of all the other activities available in the Punch Bowl. I would recommend this place to my family and friends. It’s not always just about the food but the service. Both times I had the Caesar it was delicious, served with gracious kind sincerity of true service to please all involved. Eye contact and kind thoughtful courtesy 💭 such as opening the umbrella in the sudden rain deluge.

“The Limelight is my go to happy hr place! Their menu is fantastic and the food is some of the best happy hour food I have had around town. Their Limelight Harvest Salad is always fresh and filling and adding a little protein makes it a complete meal.
Being a whiskey girl, the cherry infused Maker's Mark Manhattan never disappoints, but beware, one does it's job.
Lastly, I have met some amazing people there (and their dogs) which only adds to each amazing memory created there.“

We rented the entire main floor and loved having the patio as a side space for people to hang out in. I was pretty disappointed to receive a $3 “discount” after not being able to eat the way too salty lamb ribs. I have very rarely sent back food… but as a prior food biz owner myself, if a reasonable and polite customer ever had a disappointing experience with anything, I’d always give a full refund and encourage them to try us again.
