The pumpkin waffle was out of this world, and my husband loved the breakfast burrito. 10/10 recommend, will come back next visit to Portland. “Staff is very nice and it’s a cozy restaurant. Pastas and steak were amazing, my only critique is that the ricotta cheesecake was not advertised as containing lemon and it tasted very citrusy. Would definitely go back and recommend this place!“

“Good food, nice folks. Tofu banh mi (1 with house special sauce, 1 with bbq) were delicious and filling.
Iced oolong tea with sugar was lightly floral and sweet.
Price was better than I expected for the quality and portion.

“I had the pleasure of dining at Mother's Bistro & Bar for both breakfast and dinner. The experience was delightful; the food was so appetizing that I immediately dove in and neglected to take any photographs. I enjoyed the flaky French toast, perfectly soft-scrambled eggs, crisp bacon, and their signature house mimosa.

“I had one of the most sumptuous dinners here. As I watched the chef prepare our meals, I was amazed to see the precision they use to give each dish the perfect taste, color, and temperature. I simply loved the wonderful flavors of the freshly made pasta and the recommended wine pairing. I loved the food and the entire experience. I hope the management franchises this restaurant to more cities!“

“My friend and I visit here every Friday evening. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. Especially Jason. He remembers regulars, and is very genuinely caring about the people he serves. The servers, including Lupita, are very prompt and nice. Your drinks never go empty! We prefer this location because it’s not only open until 10pm, but because we have had such pleasant experiences with the staff. Food is pretty darn good too! Fresh breakfast meats and French toast! Thank you!“

“Oh my gosh. Such a delicious meal! I got the combination plate and the schnitzel was so flavorful. I've heard good things about the dill soup and it did not disappoint! We finished our meal with eclairs to go.

“I picked a lunch spot on a total whim after flying in from Texas, then discovered the best comfort karē outside of Japan. Absolutely incredible, rich flavors that speak for themselves. Nothing is hidden or muddled; the recipe is full bodied, served insanely quick, and with the hospitality of an old friend you haven't seen in years (big shoutout to one-man army Mr. Makoto Yoshino). If you're a veteran that's ever been stationed in Japan, pair this up with Jinro and a Page 11 and it's like you're back in Oki! Seriously though, food was so good I had a borderline religious experience. 11/10 I'll always come here when I visit Portland.“

“The husband and I were on a ramen rampage, and the weather was our perfect excuse. Then, out of nowhere, we stumbled upon this restaurant. The service was spot-on, the food arrived in record time, and that ramen? Sheer perfection. The broth was a flavor bomb, the chashu was tender and divine, and those noodles? Freshly made and sublime. “I had the Lox plate and it was FABULOUS! I'm from a Chicago suburb that had several delis and it felt like I was back home. My husband had the avocado toast and enjoyed it very much. This will definitely be our breakfast place when we come back to visit Portland again. My husband picked up our take-out and said that the staff was very friendly. GREAT EXPERIENCE!!“
