“My wife brought me here for my 70th birthday. She asked, "where would you like to go?" "Surprise me.", I told her. Oh my! My grandmother from Puebla, Mexico would have loved this place. The tortillas were fresh, Handmade! I ordered the Pozole. Oh so rich and fragrant and bustling with pork, hominy and a very wonderful broth. Did I mention the tortillas?? Oh Lord!! I plan to bring my three adult children here for my son's birthday. I plan to eat my way through the menu, over the course of the next year or so. I can see that there are many others who love this place. The entire time we were having dinner, there was a steady stream of people coming in for takeout. Yep, this is a gem of a restaurant. Come enjoy.“

“Ordered online and came and picked it up. The pizza was covered in delicious toppings and the crew had even put aside half of my tomatoes because I clicked on the full pizza(not knowing there was another option)and requested them on half on the notes. Delish overall!“

“I went to this place for me and my partners anniversary. I have never been and neither had he. The experience was top notch! I came in and the waiter said he was going to change my life and he did just that. I also had a gift card that had a generous balance and I was so impressed with the service and food that I was embarrassed to use it so I paid out of my own pocket. Best tapas in Portland hands down! My partner usually is the one who picks places because I’m bad at it and he was also incredibly impressed with me and my choice to try Urdaneta!“

Service here is exceptional (Andrew is an ever-shining gem!) which stands out on its own against many other Portland restaurants. “It was delicious!!! Rabbit, foie gras, pigs feet, escargot, halibut, eel, scallops, all the fancy sauces….SOOO good!! Every bite was just perfectly executed. The staff was so friendly and engaging which made it really fun to sit at the chef’s counter!“

“I have been to this wonderful spot a million times but stayed in my comfort zone of the tacos. I've literally had them all, even the burrito, and burrito bowls. However, something told me that comfort and change can't sit together so I decided to try something new tonight. I tried the scrumptious pulled Jack sandwich, which came with heaping sides of Mac and cheese, and greens. I also got my 6 yr old the tamales. Before I noticed he scarfed down his tamales and was asking for a bite of mine. I was only able to try a single bite of his and man oh man I wanted another one just for myself lol... Here we both are now both stuffed to the max but of course, what a good dinner with a great dessert. We are eating the yum yum yummmaaay blackberry peach cobbler... If you ain't been here, get here, and if you have, try something different next time, I bet you'll love it better or just the same as your favorite.

To top it all off she is such a majestic being, very social( I mean we all have our days right?) and down to earth, and her love language is servitude!!!

“Twice now I’ve eaten at Ox. I came back for the Clam Chowder with Smoked Bone Marrow as it left such a lasting impression. This time, we tried the Skirt Steak with the Radicchio & Romaine Salad. It was a 10/10! Most excellent meal. We also sat at the grille where all the steaks and chops were being prepared, and we loved feeling part of the process. Can't wait to bring family!“

They stick to the simple offerings, leading to an experience that feels less Americanized than other Japanese restaurants. That's because the family that owns Sushi Ki-ichi wants to create an authentic meal - a notion that was confirmed for sure when we had a conversation with the owner. In fact, they take quality to the next level with their equipment and efforts they take to make sure that what they serve is the highest quality, including specific freezers for the fish. We didn't try Sushi Ki-ichi for the first couple of years because we figured that the previous restaurant, a Chinese buffet that had gone downhill and fallen off the cliff, had rebranded and reopened as something new. Now I feel that for those first couple of years, we missed out. This has quickly become my favorite place in Portland. I look forward to any trips I take across town from Vancouver to Tigard, and make a point to stop in and grab a bite.“

We waited until after we were done eating and literally within and hour of opening, all the fruit strudel was gone. I was heartbroken because that's why I went! “Picked up an Amalfi Bounty sandwich for the road. Massive hoagie roll but delicious flavors and so many vegetables. Cheese is thinly sliced so it doesn’t overwhelm the fillings. There’s a parking lot here and the 2 unisex bathrooms are clean.“

“My friend and I visit here every Friday evening. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. Especially Jason. He remembers regulars, and is very genuinely caring about the people he serves. The servers, including Lupita, are very prompt and nice. Your drinks never go empty! We prefer this location because it’s not only open until 10pm, but because we have had such pleasant experiences with the staff. Food is pretty darn good too! Fresh breakfast meats and French toast! “Perfect place for a special family birthday dinner for a party of 7 after enjoying the art immersive Portlandia institution Hopscotch - great for all ages - interesting foods to try family style, great friendly quirky service - the tomato salad is absolutely delicious we ordered all 4 kinds of Russian dumplings and halibut, chicken and veggie kabobs all very interesting and delicious - the fruit shortcake with lemon cream was the standout surprise flavor bomb - we have been a couple times and it doesn't disappoint - fun place to take folks from out of town“
