Anyone can seemingly make sushi seem better by making it more complex, but the real test is whether they can take the simple and make it excellent. Sushi-Ki-ichi does just that. They stick to the simple offerings, leading to an experience that feels less Americanized than other Japanese restaurants.

The sushi here is so fresh!! I ordered bluefin toro, salmon, unagi and scallop. Wow, all the pieces of fish are so fatty and flavorful. I also ordered braised meat which was not too salty and had a great flavor.
Insanely good, authentic Japanese food. Better than I've had in Honolulu. For a surprise treat, try the red bean soup dessert!
