Chef Kevin Gibson and his staff do an amazing job. The food and service fantastic. After being confined in our home for week due to the storm/weather it was so nice to get out for nice night , and bonus we saw an old work colleague and got to reconnect. Portland really is a small big city and Davenport always has some the best food in the city.
Davenport is my favorite restaurant in all of Portland. All frills are eliminated and it just consistently provides the best food and wine that this city has to offer with a laid-back European pace and ambience. Kevin Gibson is one of the best chefs in the city and the menu they dish out from that tiny 2-person kitchen is unreal. Excellent food & friendly, knowledgeable service. We asked for wine recommendations and they were all spot-on and delicious (and quite generous with the pours). If I had to choose one adjective for Davenport it might be "unaffected"--everything was done very well, without preciousness or pretense. Thanks for a lovely dinner, we'll definitely be back.
