Honestly one of the best meals I have ever had. The caviar and oysters to start recommend by Shelia were delicious. We had the Cioppino and the Albacore, I can't begin to describe the the flavor combination of the albacore and spicy roasted peppers with the saltiness of the crispy potatoes... seriously amazing. “We were there for the first time on the evening of January 10, 2026. We sat at the bar for a bit because we were a little early for our reservation. Michelle brought us a couple of beers and we ordered a plate of six oysters. She chatted cheerfully with us while she busily poured drinks for others and then introduced us to her two sons and a son’s girlfriend, who all also work there. Everyone was so friendly and kind! When our table was ready, Michelle thanked us for being there and said that it was great to meet us. At our table, we ordered another half dozen oysters, a caesar salad, a couple more beers, and two big bowls of cioppino. Absolutely delicious with the large, thick slices of freshly-made garlic bread for dunking. This place is a true gem. Four generation of family working there and their love for the place and what they do shows. Can’t wait to go back!!“

“Fabulous bar & I don't drink. The place is gorgeous. The wood on the bar to the tables. I've never had a bad experience here ever. I go here every year on my birthday October 21st. I always sit in the same booth when I go there the first Booth inside the bar across from the corner of the bar. I always go during lunch so I don't take up a bunch of space for their night time seating and it's much more quiet. I've never endured an uncomfortable situation with any of the wait staff. And the food is fabulous. I wish they had a steak and lobster tail combo instead of individually. I just have nothing bad to say about this place. I don't have a bad thing to say about this place. Okay the only negative thing I have is the parking sucks when you're disabled“

seductively smoky, delicious fatty lamb was paired with really crispy crunchy yet soft potatoes and some clearly organic high quality seasonally harvested grilled spring onions. and that was it.

i was surprised and sad to find that my $40 entree had absolutely no acid apart from the slightly sheepishly out of place bottle of tabasco to balance the overwhelming richness of the flavors.

the gnocchi had a similar story where all the ingredients and preparations were top class but way too rich and unbalanced to finish satisfyingly.

the pannisa was actually cool but ultimately too dry. the seasonal bee pollen and local honey barely got noticed because of how much liquid i had to drink to be able to swallow the bite.

drinks were top notch, the salad that we were recommended was excellent and there was absolutely plenty more to like, but it was like someone put on a bunch of extremely high quality clothes but without any forethought of how the end outfit would look like. and almost as if he knew, the waiter never once even checked or asked how we liked the food or drink.

ultimately, it is undeniable that there is talent working the kitchen here and the owner cares about sourcing and using quality ingredients. the final detail to focus on would be making sure the elements come together to make all the effort more satisfyingly acknowledgeable.“

“Tasty Corner is my favorite Chinese food place in Portland Oregon. Their prices are pretty reasonable considering the size the of the portions, and the vegetables are always very fresh. Try the Dry Cooked String Beans (by themself or with a protein) and the Eggplant with Fried Tofu. So good!“

“Great food, I like the shark fin soup, not sure if that's what its called but it's light and nice. The mapo tofu wasn't as spicy and quite bland but good texture. Go-to dish is the salt & pepper squid, the green beans, and hong kong style spare ribs!

I came in around 8 PM so there wasn't anyone besides one other table so it was not loud as usual. Been coming to this place with family for years, they don't disappoint. There can be a language barrier but the staff are very kind. They also offer oranges at the end.“

“My husband and I went to Ruth's Chris in downtown Portland for Happy Hour last week and we had an amazing experience because our server, Juston, provided 5-Star customer service. He was very kind, attentive, amiable, friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. I had been shopping downtown prior to dinner and I had some challenging experiences while shopping: a City of Portland meter maid was ticketing car after car after car that were parking along 4th, in front of Zara. I almost parked there myself...I live her and I was even confused by the fact that actually, cars couldn't park on that block. We want Portland to return to its vibrancy, yet, the City of Portland is ticketing people who are coming downtown to shop, dine and enjoy themselves. The City should instead by writing thank you notes and leaving them on people's cars, thanking them for investing in downtown. I shared this with Juston and he was so supportive and kind. He even gave my husband and I a complimentary glass of champagne for our troubles. It was a gesture that brought tears to my eyes and reinforced that there are wonderful signs of positivity in downtown Portland. Thank you, Juston!“

“My friend and I were looking to see what to find to eat and we came across this place! And it looked like a pretty cool good looking affordable place! When you see a writing and white board, you know the food is going to be good! And we were right! We ordered nachos and MAAAAN best nachos I ever had. Or maybe because we had drank but even then they were so good! You can tell they friend the tortillas! I’m not a guac person but their guac was so good! They did not disappoint at all! So good! I'm not sure if it was the owner that greeted us, but a much older gentleman definitely welcomed our big group and accommodated a round table to fit our group. We ordered plenty and the food came out fresh, hot and delicious. I had the intestine dried pot stir fry and it was tasty. I tried other dishes that were on my table as well and everything was on point! If I visit Portland again, I'll definitely stop by the restaurant for another round.
