The whole staff was fantastic to work with and went above and beyond to tailor the experience to our group, from decorations to custom themed cocktails. We rented the entire main floor and loved having the patio as a side space for people to hang out in. The food was excellent and the kitchen was able to accommodate our wide range of dietary needs without compromising on portions or flavor.“

“First time was fabulous; food, wine, vibe and people were top-notch. The second time not so much. I was pretty disappointed to receive a $3 “discount” after not being able to eat the way too salty lamb ribs. Just left a bad taste and vibe for me as a neighbor and someone who could have been an enthusiastic regular. I have very rarely sent back food… but as a prior food biz owner myself, if a reasonable and polite customer ever had a disappointing experience with anything, I’d always give a full refund and encourage them to try us again. It’s just good business practice IMHO.“

It is a cute little shop with comfortable seating but the layout is chaotic making it a bit uncomfortable when people touch you and ask you to move or get up so they can get by.
The food was very well thought out. We had the duck. It is okay to eat undercooked cooked duck breast but not wings or legs. Our duck was unfortunately undercooked and we did not finish it.
The drinks and deserts are awesome! I loved the Nobb Creek ice cream. It was perfect 👌“

“Unfortunately, we were only there for a hot minute as we were on a mission to visit as many bars/restos as possible on our short stay in Portland. Olympia Provisions was only our first stop and we didn't want to leave! Our server and the bartender were both so nice and friendly. They didn't make us feel bad that we were only getting one round of drinks and an appetizer but rather encouraged us to try as many of Portland's great offerings as possible!
My Pastis cocktail was absolutely delicious and I wish I had the time to order 2! My sister and I narrowed down our choices to the Pheasant Liver and Foie Gras Mousse with Cranberry and Raisin Chutney and Candied Nuts! A winning choice for us!

“This is a great first date place. The food presentation was outstanding. However, we felt it was a little blan. They use RC soda products here, which are flat at the bar but have carbonation if gotten from the back. Amazing happy hour!

“Finally was able to try Bellwether Bar at the weekend and adored it. Lovely atmosphere, excellent food, cozy setting. It can be pretty packed so would recommend having a spot nearby to chill at if you have to wait for tables to open up.

Note that it's an order-at-the-bar-only kinda place with a queue that can get pretty long. Generally not a fan of places that have a single order-taking point, especially if you're only drinking a few rounds. Bellwether is well worth the friction of that process but would do well to come up with an alternative that would work for them and their size/capabilities. If you're with friends or on a date, you can be in line for 10-20 minutes, which isn't great.“

“An incredible place for a special occasion. Vu greeted us at the door by name, and he and Montana offered excellent wine recommendations and flawless service. The tasting menu was to die for- the maitake and spring onion with shallot demi glace will haunt my dreams for months to come. A must-try for vegans living in or visiting Portland.“

Even though we didn’t have much time to stay, the team made sure every moment counted, and that level of attention really meant a lot.

Seth was a great bartender—friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what he does. He added to the experience in a way that felt natural and genuine, which made our time there even more enjoyable.

What impressed me most was how authentic everything felt. It wasn’t forced or overly formal, just a real sense of care and pride behind the bar. That kind of atmosphere is rare and makes you want to come back again.

We didn’t get to explore everything this time, but what we did experience was enough to know this is a place worth returning to. My husband especially loved the rum selection, which definitely stood out and gave us another reason to come back and spend more time enjoying the bar.

There’s something special about a place that can leave such a strong impression in a short visit. It speaks to the consistency and quality of the service. We’re already looking forward to coming back soon.“

Cozy house turned into a neighborhood go-to brewery. Specializes in one off beer types but their staples are all killers too! All weather patio and side yard. Dog friendly, pizza pop up in the house. Merch is classic too. If driving through PDX make the short detour here.

Street oarking is a nightmare but worth it.

Pro-tip: Tuesdays they have 15% off Togo beers all day.“

Our table was ready when we arrived and it was just perfect for our needs. The servers were extremely gracious and the food was delicious. “My son stopped at Bastions this past June 2025 and purchased 2 good sizes of your coffee cake. It was exceptional and so moist. We couldn't put our forks down! We're the ones who purchased a pecan pie from bastions last Christmas and a pumpkin pie last Thanksgiving. Both outstanding! Everything we've tried is excellent including the donuts. “The Dugout is a friendly bar with great food, reasonably priced, and very good service. It is across Garden Home Rd from the Trader Joe's in the Garden Home intersection, with parking in the back. It is one of the three bars owned by the same person - The Club House and Bar3. The menu is a no-frills, American basic foods, all prepared fresh and to order. And the portions are plentiful and very reasonably priced. I don't think anything is priced more than $20. Breakfast served all day. Highly recommend.“
