“One of the best meals we've had in Portland. Did not have any expectations going into it and were surprised at how good everything was. Had the crudo, plantains, steak frites and khao sai. One of the best things they do here is ask about allergies firs thing and then took our menus to the chef and had him mark down the entire menu with what we could and could not eat--wish every single restaurant did this. Definitely will be back.“

“This is a quant authentic German restaurant run exclusively by Otto and Anita, they cook everything themselves in the back. Anita makes all the baked goods and they even make their own salad dressing. The food was delicious. Not many vegetarian items but the Dill Soup was the star, and paired nicely with their house salad. The desserts and baked goods all looked very nice. I enjoyed the German Spezi soda. The staff is super friendly and the whole experience was warm and unique. I highly recommend it.“

“I make it a point to visit Canard Burnside on all of my trips to Portland! The unique flavors and presentations on their menu keep me coming back for more. Had the roasted beets last night for the first time and the flavor was out of this world.“

“GET THE FRENCH TOAST!!! We had a great burger here last night and they server said to come back for breakfast because the French toast is phenomenal. We aren’t usually French toast people but we ordered it anyway. WOW! I am now French toast people. The service is always good and fast. Such a great spot. Highly recommend.“

“One of my all-time favorite restaurants! Our meal did not disappoint. I love the blini with trout caviar, Caesar salad and other small plate specials. Cabezon offers a homey and inviting atmosphere with great service and a friendly vibe. I have never had a disappointing meal at this wonderful restaurant.“

“This is a great first date place. The food presentation was outstanding. However, we felt it was a little blan. They use RC soda products here, which are flat at the bar but have carbonation if gotten from the back. Amazing happy hour!

“February 8th, 2026 menu & service was absolutely divine! Start to finish service and all staff present were absolutely charming and very attentive. Presentation was beautiful, the atmosphere felt very warm, cozy and inviting. Plates were absolutely stunning in all ways. The textures in each dish were just so perfect, exciting and unique. The flavors complimented each other so well and each course was perfectly balanced, flowing nicely into the next. Everything was absolutely perfect, the thrill of enjoying such technical yet plant based preperations genuinly brings tears of joy. Thank you so for so perfectly encapsulating the possibilities of plant based foods! 💚💚 We were happy to hear about the recipes staying and going from the menu, we couldn't agree more with the choices. The Kombucha pairings were magical. Meadowland was perfect. The respect payed to plants here, the absolutely mind blowing creativity that leaves you craving more, makes Astera stand out as a historical evolution for plant based flavor, technical creativity, creation, service and passion in the plant based realm in the U.S. Astera is heaven on earth. I cannot express enough gratitude for such a wonderful little spot, thank you for such tasty snacks!! We will be back very soon, hoping to experience the seasons with you!“

“Love love love this place. One a street where there has been a lot on construction changes and old buildings being torn down, this place has taken advantage of square footage in a home. Both covered and not covered outside seating areas. In door has a great bar! Customer Service is amazing, even when its busy. The Beer, fantastic! I tried all of them on tap. Bathrooms are large. Food was amazing! I highly recommend.“

“The Muddy Rudder has (in my opinion) some of the best pizza that I've had in Portland. Their menu is pretty straightforward, good appetizers, pizzas, calzones, and some sandwiches and salads. Their beer list is ever-changing and always very good, there is a full bar so options for boozy drinks are available and kids can even get their own Shirley Temples, lime-aid, etc.
The staff is always friendly and the music is always great, whether it is played over the stereo or one of the many live acts they have performing on a number of nights each month.
When the weather is cold and the fireplace is burning there aren't many other places I'd rather be outside of my home.“

“Mmm, mmm, mmm. Got the Fresh Prince and it was so fresh, it talked back! Just kidding, sandwiches don't talk but if they did, this one is whispering sweet nothings to my belly. The bread was the true Prince. Opted for sourdough and it was tasty and even had a bit of crunch! No rubbery texture causing the ingredients to slide out with each bite. I got the small size as they come in large or small and it was perfect for what I needed since I wasn't overly hungry. Great first visit. I'll have to keep this one on my radar!“

The wild mushroom bisque was particularly delicious, with a smooth texture and rich aroma. The waiter was very professional and attentive, explaining the background of each dish. The elegant yet relaxed atmosphere was perfect for a leisurely meal with friends or family.“

“Yesterday I have the privilege of 'discovering' the Garden Home Dugout. After living in the area for over 40 years, I'd never been there. I may have discovered a new favorite. Great food, great place, amazing menu, our our server, Bailey was simply a delight. LOVED IT and look forward to exploring the menu!“

“My son stopped at Bastions this past June 2025 and purchased 2 good sizes of your coffee cake. It was exceptional and so moist. We couldn't put our forks down! We're the ones who purchased a pecan pie from bastions last Christmas and a pumpkin pie last Thanksgiving. Both outstanding! Everything we've tried is excellent including the donuts.
