“Our first time here and the beer was good! The food ops are endless with all the food carts! The place was hopping for a Friday night and it is family and pet friendly. I couldn’t believe how many kids there were!“

“This review is based on our last few minutes paying the bill, everything else was top notch. Our group of 4 was chatting when our bills arrived and continued to visit, and our waiter came by to gather abit later and told him it was ready. At this time we Bagan to review our bills to pay one with a card and we were paying cash. As soon as I placed the cash in their bifold and placed on the table another waiter came to the table and stated being just like our waiter and dressed similarly. Worth noting she was about 110 5 foot or so with our waiter at 220 plus and 6ft or so wit a great beard. I stated that our waiter had much bigger feet and a great beard with my wife commenting about our matching hairlines... lol right. No next thing we get is she identifies as law enforcement and proceeds to walk away with an elevated voice "I'll kick beat you down" I turned left to my friend and sain now she wants to wrestle. At this point mist people are watching and then just short of screaming she yells "I'll Kick your A$$". And indeed the entire restaurant is watching on what was going on, I simply went back to visiting with our group not knowing what was next. Not long afterwards our waiter walked by and as he did thank me for the tip. No follow up from management nothing. So probably about 15 minutes after this a few other groups had left and we started our departure and still nothing. Over the years we have been here many times as a couple and a few large groups, after this event not to sure we could return for an enjoyable dining experience with their staff threatening some ones life unprovoked. The staff is incredible, the food options are always a large variety to choose from and delicious everytime. Bonus points the owners are huge supporters of our local schools and youth sports. Both locations we dine at and love! Highly recommend.“

“Everything about this restaurant is homely and inviting. I love that the plates aren't gargantuan sized. They feel like a nice home cooked meal and you really don't need a takeout box. The service is fast and friendly, though we showed up right at 11AM to ensure we had seating! Food was delicious, and the dessert was good. If you plan to buy any pastries, do so before you sit! We waited until after we were done eating and literally within and hour of opening, all the fruit strudel was gone. I was heartbroken because that's why I went! Well I won't be making that mistake twice! Buy it before you sit! Great place and such fun!“

“First time was fabulous; food, wine, vibe and people were top-notch. The second time not so much. I was pretty disappointed to receive a $3 “discount” after not being able to eat the way too salty lamb ribs. Just left a bad taste and vibe for me as a neighbor and someone who could have been an enthusiastic regular. I have very rarely sent back food… but as a prior food biz owner myself, if a reasonable and polite customer ever had a disappointing experience with anything, I’d always give a full refund and encourage them to try us again. It’s just good business practice IMHO.“

“Great hh pizza! Crust is a Lil puffy a Lil crispy a Lil stretchy.
I had the papermaker pale. Wow! Well poured, gold colored beauty, tastes like a beer dream, lightly piney on top, then a smoothly carbonated descent to hopville.. brilliant!
They treat you right at the Rudder, so close to the Willamette it probably barely stayed dry in ancient days. But they dont get you muddy. Kick back be patient they will row out to you.

“My son stopped at Bastions this past June 2025 and purchased 2 good sizes of your coffee cake. It was exceptional and so moist. We couldn't put our forks down! We're the ones who purchased a pecan pie from bastions last Christmas and a pumpkin pie last Thanksgiving. Both outstanding! Everything we've tried is excellent including the donuts. Those mozzarella sticks are killer, so cheesy and thick! Karaoke is a little loud but expected for a small venue. Pool tables in good working order, $0.75-1.00 per game.“

“I visit Pfriem Milwaukie often and always have a great time! The food and drinks are delicious. Service is always friendly and fast. I visited at 4pm for the Happy Hour menu. $6.50 beers, $12 cocktails, and a good variety of small-bite food options. I ordered the $8 bratwurst plate, and $5 soup with baguette. Everything tasted great!“

“This was sooooo good! We got the mac and cheese and chicken!! The portions were large too!! I highly recommend. We went on a Saturday evening, so we had a long wait (one guy working), but it was worth the wait. (Next time, I'll order, run an errand and come back.) The owner was busting his butt and quite friendly. Overall, really great!“

“I love the flavor and style of their burritos (steak burrito is a go-to). Tacos are good. Breakfast burrito is not my favorite. I do think a $14 steak burrito is overpriced for what it is. If they could make it $11 I'd say it was a more fair deal. Nice staff, quick workers.“
