“Steve & I dined at Feast tonight, for what turned out to be a very busy (somewhat unexpectedly so) night. They were down several staff persons, but those there were very friendly and making the best of it. Patience is a virtue! We were rewarded with an awesome meal! I just wanted something light, so I ordered skewer and toast which was a delicious combination of filet Mignon skewered and laying on focaccia toast and some wonderful sauces & microgreens. It was perfect! I also had coconut shrimp cup which was delicious as well. Several wonderfully coated shrimp (not in a cup but laying on some lovely salad leaves with yummy sauce.)Steve had the meatloaf with Brussels sprouts which was very filling and tasty. Those in the service business work so hard and we sometimes need to give people some grace… Kudos to the Feast staff!“

“Really good upscale and authentic Mexican. Drinks are spot on. The deck in the warm months is very enjoyable. Indoor atmosphere needs a bit of work. Lower lighting and lots of candles would go along way! Definitely eat here!“

That does not matter. I can't believe somebody left a bad review based on that, while never having eaten here. It was plenty comfortable and the service was fast and friendly enough. “The Gresham location is now the only La Carreta still around that I am aware of. I have been going to La Caretta for over 30 years. I was very disappointed to see the SE Portland location close.
Great food! Best Mexican food in town. Chips and salsa is all you can eat and is constantly being refilled.
The atmosphere is loud and crowded. Booths are small. 4 people fit but it's cramped. It was also very hot in the restaurant.
Drinks are well made and there is a large selection of exotic drinks. Prices are reasonable. Take out is just as good as eating in the restaurant.“

“The place is beautiful inside, ornate decoration everywhere. The workers are respectful and ready to help if we have a question or something in our order was swapped by accident. They always give us delicious, filling food in large portions. When we get takeout it lasts for days.

Vegetarian options: They have a great selection of vegetarian options, I’ve had a couple and they are just as delicious as all the meat options I’ve tried.

Dietary restrictions: I have a gluten sensitivity, and while they have gluten soy sauce, they have been friendly and accommodating when I ask them to make things gluten free. I take it home and add my own gf sauce and it’s just as tasty.

Parking: They have a very small lot but there’s rarely many cars in there. There is some street parking but it’s in front of housing so try not to stay very long if you’re gonna do that.“

“The owner welcomed us before we were even at her cart. We had never been there before nor have we had a sushi burrito before. She was so helpful in recommending menu items and the food was ready fresh in 10 minutes! The food was so fresh and delicious and very filling. The calamari skewers were so flavorful.
