Totally guilty of judging this spot, thinking how can a sushi place nestled between a dingy motel and a mcdonalds be good??!!! WRONG I WAS. This spot is excellent! Sushi is great, but I actually enjoy their ramen and gohan rice dishes just as much. Amazing food, clean, great staff, priced well...Please support this amazing local establishment! A well loved and appreciated restaurant. Many “old Japan hands” eat here. Authenticity of Japanese cuisine that is unrivaled in Portland. “Ofukuro no aji” (The flavor of Mom’s cooking), if your mom is a 5 star chief.Presentation is beautiful. “Japanese food is eaten first with the eyes” is fully on display with each plate.The fish is always the best. This is our favorite sushi restaurant in the area. High quality sushi that’s worth the price! Their bento is also delicious, the tempura or katsu is always flavorful and not greasy. They have one of the best agedashi tofu I ever had as well!
