“This place is special. We had a piece of bluefin that was shear perfection. Also, a deep friend scallop was incredible. Everything was great. The only thing is the tasting menu isn’t a ton of food, I wouldn’t go too hungry. Or if you’re still hungry you can order more after the tasting menu.“

“This hands down is one of my favorite restaurants in Portland OR. It the same quality of other top spots in the US like Nobu , O-Ya , and Morimoto . The location is perfect located in the Pearl district. The chefs are high quality and the fish is extremely fresh. They have a great but simple flavor approach. The service is warm, helpful, and appreciative. I always ask for Joy as she is a true professional and loves providing an exceptional experience on every visit.“

“I would love to give this place five stars. They're are often not open during their scheduled business hours. I've been here multiple times in the last few weeks at 12:00, which is when they say they open yet they are closed. I'm sitting here right now at 12:15 and their food truck is closed.“

“I was walking around aimlessly last night, and found an alley full of food carts, decided to eat at this one last night and ordered a Spider Roll.

Not only was it filling and delicious, but it was prepared quickly. Better than a lot of sushi places I been and the prices are very reasonable. Highly reccomend.“

My fiance and I drove to Portland for the day and made the last minute decision to try out a sushi place. Hana Sushi and Izakaya Pearl turned out to be a lovely surprise.

Food was quick and fun as it was distributed on a conveyor belt. We did also order from the menu (a fried tuna roll) which was also fantastic.

For drinks we got the Vietnamese Iced Coffee, one with brown sugar pearls, coconut milk and Oreos and the other with just oat milk and Oreos. The drink customization was an awesome surprise--definitely order a drink from them as it will not disappoint!

We will definitely come again if we are ever in the Portland area.“

“This is a food cart in a pod downtown. There are no tables. For those who don’t expect that it could be off putting. Having said that, get this food and take it somewhere cozy and dig in! Our Sweet Chili Shrimp and Deep Fried California rolls were so fresh and balanced and perfect. I wish I took a picture first. It’s too late. The food was too good. Next time.“

“I got the oceanic fable bowl and let me tell you, they do not skimp on the portion. I haven’t had poke in a while, but it seems like with inflation that $18 isn’t bad for three proteins and a sizable amount of toppings.

Everything tasted great and I would definitely recommend this place.“

“Great Sake menu, excellent nigiri omakase. Experience is much closer to a an authentic Japanese sushi experience than an American sushi roll place. The only downside is that the wasabi does not compare which is a tragedy that cannot be attributed to the restaurant. 10/10 will be returning here every time I'm in Portland“

Over the years I have had the pleasure of multiple omakase nights and they always delivery different dishes that truly change how I view sushi as a whole. My wife and I had our first date here two years ago, and just came back for our first date as a married couple and we love having a special place to slow down, enjoy each other and eat mouthwatering food to mark beautiful moments in our lives. “My husband and I wanted to venture out and check out a new sushi spot. We tend to always visit the same place in Vancouver and chose to try something in Portland. I came across this restaurant on Yelp and saw it had great reviews so we thought we’d make our way out. It’s located off of 122nd and it’s next to a little corner store market. Very easy to miss and parking lot is very small. We were the only ones in there when we walked in. An Asian male greeted us right away and allowed us to pick any table to sit at. He brought over waters and played and utensils while we looked over the menu. There was quite a bit of options for the sushi and bento dishes, as well as the other Chinese food options. We order chicken gyoza, katsu chicken (which came with miso soup), 2 different sushi rolls and the chicken lo mein. Everything tasted fresh and the food items were all delicious. My husband loved all the dishes and rated everything a 5-star. The service was great and the restaurant was small and clean. We will definitely be back to try other dishes.“

“Been coming here for over 10 years. I just want to say this is the best Mio Sushi in Portland. The head waitress, I believe her name is Jane, provides the warmest atmosphere and is a complete gem. Always happy when she is working, also the fish is always fresh and prepared beautifully. Honorable mention: their chicken teriyaki is the best quality and moderately priced meal in the area, it comes with Miso soup, salad, veggies, rice and a healthy portion of perfectly cooked chicken.“

“I tried SushiLove for the first time today (Oregon City location) and I am hooked! The service and food were amazing. I couldn't decide what I wanted to try first, so I ordered a half order of the Glazed and Confused, half order of the Mother of Dragons and an order of the Starry Inari. SO SO good! My new go-to place. As someone with Celiac, I love that I can have this Sushi without any worries! Even the little soy sauce packet was gluten free. ❤“

“Ok, so we went into this place because we were looking for a quick lunch. I have to say, I was surprised. You know when you go into a conveyor belt sushi place at about 3pm and the sushi has been rotating around for god knows how long? the typical california rolls, the meh selection, and the odd grapes or weird looking desert.. etc? This was NOT it! The belt had beautiful rolls, sashimi, poke salad, and on and on.. We sat down and three chefs were slamming BEAUTIFUL food down. We ordered a couple of items that were not on the belt, and our guilty pleasure, tempura veggies... So good, and so fast.. As is our usual standard, we got one too many.. The best part of this is that the prices were GREAT! Last time I went to a sushi place, lunch it cost about 80 for two. We spent 40 dollars total, minus our tip. The servers and chefs were friendly and fast..
Only reason I gave 4 stars for the atmosphere is that it is sort of a typical lunch place, not anything exceptional as far as decor goes. But I also prefer hole in the wall humble places.“

“While visiting Portland, I came across Momoji, a small sushi restaurant that turned out to be a great find. Even though it's not a big place, the quality of the food really stood out. The sushi rolls were fresh, flavorful, and made with care. My favorite was the Salem Roll, which had an awesome combination of ingredients and tasted fantastic. I also decided to try the sushi burrito since it was something different from my usual order. It was unique, packed with fresh ingredients, and much more filling than I expected. I ended up finishing the whole thing. The staff was friendly, my food came out quickly, and the overall experience was excellent. I always enjoy finding small local restaurants that put so much effort into their food, and this place definitely did. If you're in Portland and looking for good sushi, Momoji is worth checking out. I'll definitely be stopping by again the next time I'm back in Oregon to try even more from the menu.“
