“Price is relatively low compared to other omakase in the area but that is no reflection on the quality. There definitely isn't as much wow factor as a place like Nodoguro, however, the chef here has a keen eye for seasonal fresh fish. I never imagined in a million years I would enjoy sardine nigiri but I still think of it months after and will return to seek more seasonal delights. The environment is quite laid-back but it isn't a bad thing. Chef isn't showy but is dedicated to his craft. Fantastic place!“

“In my humble opinion this is the best sushi in downtown Portland. Cute little family owned shop, smallest restaurant from I've ever seen. The sushi is always perfect and they have the best and honestly the correct prices for their food.

They offer two combo deals that have a solid mix of sushi. One for $11 and one for $12.

I have never had a bad experience here and when I think about eating sushi this is the place I choose to go to. Absolutely worth it.“

“I was walking around aimlessly last night, and found an alley full of food carts, decided to eat at this one last night and ordered a Spider Roll.

Not only was it filling and delicious, but it was prepared quickly. Better than a lot of sushi places I been and the prices are very reasonable. Highly reccomend.“

I love being able to grab all of my favorite familiar sushi rolls while still trying new ones! I don't think there's a fee for not finishing a plate which I appreciate. Staff is super attentive and there is a small variety of non sushi items, plus a hibachi menu for the friend that doesn't like sushi!!“

“I tried SushiLove for the first time today (Oregon City location) and I am hooked! The service and food were amazing. I couldn't decide what I wanted to try first, so I ordered a half order of the Glazed and Confused, half order of the Mother of Dragons and an order of the Starry Inari. SO SO good! My new go-to place. As someone with Celiac, I love that I can have this Sushi without any worries! Even the little soy sauce packet was gluten free. ❤“

Bamboo sushi is good but so expensive with long wait times. We like Yoko’s but also… long wait times.

“My husband and I wanted to venture out and check out a new sushi spot. We tend to always visit the same place in Vancouver and chose to try something in Portland. I came across this restaurant on Yelp and saw it had great reviews so we thought we’d make our way out. It’s located off of 122nd and it’s next to a little corner store market. Very easy to miss and parking lot is very small. We were the only ones in there when we walked in. An Asian male greeted us right away and allowed us to pick any table to sit at. He brought over waters and played and utensils while we looked over the menu. There was quite a bit of options for the sushi and bento dishes, as well as the other Chinese food options. We order chicken gyoza, katsu chicken (which came with miso soup), 2 different sushi rolls and the chicken lo mein. Everything tasted fresh and the food items were all delicious. My husband loved all the dishes and rated everything a 5-star. The service was great and the restaurant was small and clean. We will definitely be back to try other dishes.“

My fiance and I drove to Portland for the day and made the last minute decision to try out a sushi place. Hana Sushi and Izakaya Pearl turned out to be a lovely surprise.

Food was quick and fun as it was distributed on a conveyor belt. We did also order from the menu (a fried tuna roll) which was also fantastic.

For drinks we got the Vietnamese Iced Coffee, one with brown sugar pearls, coconut milk and Oreos and the other with just oat milk and Oreos. The drink customization was an awesome surprise--definitely order a drink from them as it will not disappoint!

We will definitely come again if we are ever in the Portland area.“

“Been coming here for over 10 years. I just want to say this is the best Mio Sushi in Portland. The head waitress, I believe her name is Jane, provides the warmest atmosphere and is a complete gem. Always happy when she is working, also the fish is always fresh and prepared beautifully. Honorable mention: their chicken teriyaki is the best quality and moderately priced meal in the area, it comes with Miso soup, salad, veggies, rice and a healthy portion of perfectly cooked chicken.“

“Visited twice since I been here in Portland. Great vibe, nice, and friendly employees. I had been suffering depression all week and hadn't eaten. Stop by after doing my laundry. Had some miso soup, calamari, and Jack Daniels jack and jingle to drink. The bartender, the music, the ambience, and food was really good.
