“We’ve been coming to Wu-Ron’s Ramen for a while now—probably over 20 visits—and it never disappoints. It’s a small, tucked-away spot that we only share with a handful of people because we love being able to stop in and enjoy a fresh, consistently amazing bowl of ramen without the crowd. The quality is always spot on, no matter the day. The waitress always remembers our order, which makes it feel like home, and the cook always greets us with a smile. That kind of warmth and consistency is rare, and it’s one of the many reasons we keep coming back. Wu-Ron’s is one of those hidden gems you want to keep to yourself, but honestly—it’s too good not to recommend!“

“Love this place - even when busy the staff is super friendly and the food is so consistent. Ordering take out is super easy and reliably on time! The garlic tonkatsu ramen is great as is the shoyu. “I’ve been here at least three times now and always leave completely satisfied. There are so many Japanese spots in the area that Yokohama is easy to miss since it’s tucked away on NE 3rd, away from MLK and Burnside, but I truly wish them the best. My go-to dishes are the chicken karaage and takoyaki, and you really can’t go wrong with any of their ramen.“

“The broth here is rich and flavorful, perfect if you enjoy bold, hearty ramen. We tried the chili crab ramen and the black garlic shoyu, and both were tasty and satisfying. The staff were friendly and welcoming as well. Overall, a solid spot for a comforting bowl of ramen.“

“First time visit last night with six of us and they are very nicely opened up the toast restaurant and let us sit in there and we had such a nice evening and the waiter was so friendly and wonderful and really helped us out to get acquainted with the offerings we tried the vegetarian potstickers and also the various vegetarian tacos which were really good. Later we each had a vegetarian Ramen and every single one was delicious and I especially liked the one with the tofu and the hard-boiled egg and the spinach. They brought a small container of warm sake for me which I really liked with a tiny cup I got to choose. OverallI gave it a big 10+ and I would definitely eat there again and probably will go back pretty soon. The main thing is to try to find a time when the parking is not completely full in the area be prepared to park a ways away and walk which is good for us so it really wasn’t a problem.“

“This was one of the most enchanting, beautiful and downright fun meals I've had in Portland. We've lived down Hawthorne from this place for forever and finally tried it and it was SUCH a delight.

I ordered the seafood ramen and the best way I can encapsulate it is this: if you ever find yourself going on a first - no, SECOND - date with someone, come here and share the seafood ramen together. You will discover so much about each other.

This ramen is layers on layers on layers. It is endless. You will discover sea creatures you didn't know existed. It is a bounty. It is a treasure chest. It is a journey.

The whole experience was just so magical. Everything from the wonderful staff helping us pick out menu items, to the sake flight, to the gigantic and gorgeous ramen bowls, was perfection ❤️❤️❤️“

The service was spot-on, the food arrived in record time, and that ramen? Sheer perfection. The broth was a flavor bomb, the chashu was tender and divine, and those noodles? Freshly made and sublime. “This hands down is one of my favorite restaurants in Portland OR. It the same quality of other top spots in the US like Nobu , O-Ya , and Morimoto . The location is perfect located in the Pearl district. The chefs are high quality and the fish is extremely fresh. They have a great but simple flavor approach. The service is warm, helpful, and appreciative. I always ask for Joy as she is a true professional and loves providing an exceptional experience on every visit.“

“Easily the best poke bowl I’ve ever had. So flavorful and has some flavor combinations that I don’t usually come across with poke bowls. The perfect mix of fresh and savory! Got the smoked tofu and loved the seasoning. Bigger portions than expected too. Will definitely be back!“

“We ordered thru UberEats. While UberEats won’t rectify any issues you might have, I called the restaurant, and they explained how they were able to accommodate an allergy. The food was delicious! We will be back. My kids loved the seared salmon donut., and the banana B-ritto. I had the treasure roll and a bowl with mixed fish. We got wasabi mayo sauce, chili sauce and another orange mayo- delicious. We kinda stuffed ourselves, to be honest. (And they use paper goods to wrap their food instead of plastic.) thank you!“

Bajala - Excellent tacos, very fresh, with lots of flavor. (Separate review on their google maps entry)
Village Kitchen - so far my favorite Burmese food in the Northwest district and there something like 4 other Burmese restaurants.

We got the Frenchy, Rainbow and Oregon(real crab substitute) Rolls, Fried Oysters and Seafood Poke Don. It was all excellent. My favorite was the Frenchy Rolls.
