About PDX Ramen & Whiskey

PDX Ramen & Whiskey, also known as Hapa PDX, offers a menu that, like the space, is small but mighty. The kitchen is clearly focused on doing a few things very, very well. The G Special Ramen is a standout, described as rich, flavorful, and super comforting with a nice kick. The veggie ramen is very satisfying, with a pretty presentation and quality ingredients. The tonkotsu ramen is not just a rich, milky pork broth; it has a chili oil twist that makes it more interesting, and the chashu has a crispy exterior. The tofu appetizer is a great test for quality, coming out crispy, well-seasoned, and flavorful. The fried tofu bites are also highly enjoyed. The red miso ramen special was the bees knees, and even the poke nachos get better every time. The crew is super kind and friendly, and the main chef and server are very welcoming, helping first-time guests choose from the menu. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual with bar seats, tables, and outside covered sittings. They have great whisky, and the cocktails are delicious. While the pork belly portion size was disappointing for the price, the ramen, drinks, and service make it a perfect East side lunch meeting spot.

Curry ramen, Hokkaido ramen, tofu bites, all amazing. Drinks were great too!
We had such a great experience at Whiskey & Noodles! Everything we ordered was delicious. The pork belly buns were so flavorful and perfectly prepared, the ahi poke bowl was fresh and delicious, and the spicy ramen had just the right amount of heat. They even brought out a fresh bowl of water and treats for our puppy.

Everything from drinks to food was full of flavor, the portions were satisfying, and the whole meal was such a treat. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming...read full review
