“I go here at least twice a week because it’s so close to my work. The employees are great. If an order isn’t up to par they will remake it so quickly. They are so kind and the food is amazing. I moved from the coast recently and left behind the best sushi place ever and I was devastated but Akira Sushi in Tualatin has got to be my new favorite. “This place is special. We had a piece of bluefin that was shear perfection. Also, a deep friend scallop was incredible. Everything was great. The only thing is the tasting menu isn’t a ton of food, I wouldn’t go too hungry. Or if you’re still hungry you can order more after the tasting menu.“

“Couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate! Our only complaint is that we can’t bring Koya back home with us. This place is so cozy and when you walk in you feel like you are part of the family. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Every single roll that came out was prettier than the next. We could have ate the entire menu and I don’t think there would have been one roll we would have been disappointed with. We got 12 rolls and I couldn’t take the pictures fast enough because the sushi was too fresh and begged to be eaten. Thank you Koya for making a special day even better. When in Beaverton do yourself a favor and support this humble but mighty establishment!“

“It has been super hard to find good sushi near where I live, but this place delivered! And it's an authentic Japanese restaurant ( our server was Japanese and very nice, the back of the menu was also in Japanese). My boyfriend got their katsu curry and it looked, smelled and tasted just like the curry I had in Japan. Super happy with this place“

“Joy Poke is one of my favorite places to eat. The ingredients are consistently fresh and high quality, and I appreciate how clean and well-maintained everything is. There are so many choices, so it’s easy to create a bowl that suits your taste. The poke bowls are fantastic, and the Spam musubi is surprisingly delicious! “We love this place! We eat here regularly, and truly enjoy the food, cocktails, service, and ambiance. The black cod miso yaki is our favorite dish - it's delicious and I highly recommend it. The veggie and shrimp tempura is the best I've ever had, with an interesting mix of eggplant, mushrooms, squash, lotus root, and onions - all lightly battered and served with a delightful dipping sauce (pour the dipping sauce on the black cod, it's so good). The cocktails, especially the Japanese 75 and the shiso gin drink (I can't think of the name), are well-balanced and mixed properly, and are very yummy. I tell everyone I know to try this place! Some of the food can seem adventurous if you're not familiar with Japanese fare, but it's all delicious and beautifully presented. Finally, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the owner is a very sweet and funny lady. All around, Sushi Kuni is a great dining experience and I highly recommend checking it out.“

“This is a food cart in a pod downtown. There are no tables. For those who don’t expect that it could be off putting. Having said that, get this food and take it somewhere cozy and dig in! “Anyone can seemingly make sushi seem better by making it more complex, but the real test is whether they can take the simple and make it excellent. Sushi-Ki-ichi does just that. They stick to the simple offerings, leading to an experience that feels less Americanized than other Japanese restaurants. That's because the family that owns Sushi Ki-ichi wants to create an authentic meal - a notion that was confirmed for sure when we had a conversation with the owner. In fact, they take quality to the next level with their equipment and efforts they take to make sure that what they serve is the highest quality, including specific freezers for the fish. We didn't try Sushi Ki-ichi for the first couple of years because we figured that the previous restaurant, a Chinese buffet that had gone downhill and fallen off the cliff, had rebranded and reopened as something new. Now I feel that for those first couple of years, we missed out. This has quickly become my favorite place in Portland. The sushi rolls were fresh, flavorful, and made with care. My favorite was the Salem Roll, which had an awesome combination of ingredients and tasted fantastic. I also decided to try the sushi burrito since it was something different from my usual order. It was unique, packed with fresh ingredients, and much more filling than I expected. I ended up finishing the whole thing. The staff was friendly, my food came out quickly, and the overall experience was excellent. I always enjoy finding small local restaurants that put so much effort into their food, and this place definitely did. If you're in Portland and looking for good sushi, Momoji is worth checking out. I'll definitely be stopping by again the next time I'm back in Oregon to try even more from the menu.“

“I tried SushiLove for the first time today (Oregon City location) and I am hooked! The service and food were amazing. I couldn't decide what I wanted to try first, so I ordered a half order of the Glazed and Confused, half order of the Mother of Dragons and an order of the Starry Inari. SO SO good! My new go-to place. As someone with Celiac, I love that I can have this Sushi without any worries! Even the little soy sauce packet was gluten free. ❤“

“We ordered thru UberEats. While UberEats won’t rectify any issues you might have, I called the restaurant, and they explained how they were able to accommodate an allergy. The food was delicious! We will be back. My kids loved the seared salmon donut., and the banana B-ritto. I had the treasure roll and a bowl with mixed fish. We got wasabi mayo sauce, chili sauce and another orange mayo- delicious. We kinda stuffed ourselves, to be honest. (And they use paper goods to wrap their food instead of plastic.) thank you!“
