Great Sushi and Phenomenal Service❣️
THIS PLACE RUINED SUSHI FOR ME!!
Once you eat here the bar is set so extremely high that it would take hiring your own private maker and specially sourcing the world's most amazing seafood to compare.
Probably because that is what this felt like. Service was fabulous (that's her in the pic) :-). She was able to read our palette perfectly. By the end, she was ordering for us and never missed a plate.
This is etched in as our pinnacle. The Mt. Fuji of sushi places.

So beautiful Nigiri with really fresh fish & American taste. It's not Japan authentic style but convincing Japanese to say Umai!

Hamono Sushi offers delicious food with beautiful rolls, quick service, and a cozy atmosphere. Customers appreciate the fresh fish and desserts, with strong recommendations for the mothi ice cream and sashimi. The all you can eat omakase and unlimited sushi are a highlight, with many praising the top-notch selections like the Hon yari Omakase and the toro described as the best in the PNW. The sushi preparation, presentation and pairing with different sauces is at the highest level. The taste of rolls, sashimi platter, nigiri, ramens and udons is lingering for a long time. The atmosphere is very chill and inviting for a relaxing and mindful slow eating experience. The space is intimate and the service is excellent, with staff who are welcoming, knowledgeable, and kind. The all you can eat omakase is an unbelievable deal. Despite parking being a challenge in Downtown Portland, the incredible sushi and gracious hosts make it a must-visit for sushi lovers, ensuring many customers hope to return soon.
