“I don’t remember what these orange wontons were but I remember they were really good! I didn’t get a picture of the sushi; must have been too excited ?The ramen and sushi were good as well.Went at lunch time and had decently quick service.“
“Down below is the beef Teriyaki, tasted better then it looks, portions on the small side for the price, salad was a joke. The other dish was the Teriyaki bowl, that was pretty decent on price and tasted pretty good. Had plenty of sauce already on the chicken, was tender too.“
“5 stars for the food and the Teppanyaki chef. He was great and food was really yummy! 2 stars for the other server (Hispanic female?) Clearly didn't know her menu and quoted (and charged) incorrect pricing for beer and even delivered the wrong beer. Nowhere on my receipt did it say the word "Sapporo", yet that's what I got. Her response was "Oh, well, you asked about an entirely different beer." Yeah, I did ask... so? I didn't really understand that one either?!?!Know your menu... It's really not that big or complicated! Nothing ruins a great (yet pretty expensive) night out more than a server who ether doesn't know what they're doing or is just lazy/sloppy. Take pride in your craft!“
“I didn't like the food the first time I ate here. I gave it another chance and went back. I got the pineapple chicken this time and it was absolutely delicious! The Mac salad is great too. I'm super curious about the fried carrots; my son says they're good! The atmosphere is lacking, and the two teenage girls working the counter deserve a raise. They kept calm and professional when you could tell they were beyond stressed trying to keep up with orders and maintain organization. Either way - check it out!“
“The food was amazing. Yes the price is a little higher than other places but the quality is the best. I have yet to find a sushi restaurant that serves it as good as here and it's not even close. The service was top notch as well. I will be coming back here and recommending it to others as well. A++“
“The best poke in town! A must try!! I love how fresh everything is and their big selection. They give a large portion too and the service is always friendly! I also love that they are using reusable cups, spoons, bowls, but wish that they would consider reusable forks and chopsticks as well.Dietary restrictions: A great place to eat gluten-free. Make sure you tell them at the beginning!“
“The Hotate or Sea Scallop sushi with yuzu pepper marmalade was out this world good. We also ordered the Guac N' Roll & French Quarter Roll. Excellent flavors. We didn't even need soy sauce. The Guac N' Roll has a unique presentation and the roll was balance & on point. I will recommend Yoshi to anyone interested in sushi!“
“I am convinced that Portland is experiencing a sushi renaissance, and Koya Sushi is a shining example of this culinary revival. Regarding fish quality, I'd place it in the top 5 (at least) in the Portland metro. On both my visits so far, service was outstanding, the fish was exceptionally fresh and well-prepared, and the overall dining experience fantastic. You definitely won't find better Ikura or Takoyaki around here, that's for sure.Any sushi enthusiast should consider it a must to visit Koya.“
“Inviting ambiance. Polite servers. Amazing food. Easy parking lot parking. I stopped by at 4pm on a Sunday afternoon and it was surprisingly busy. I was quickly seated and ordered the Sake Aisuru Don and edamame. The Sake Aisuru Don (salmon sashimi, salmon belly, and minced salmon over rice) was extremely fresh. The meats were so refreshing and filling. The soft and silky salmon meats made my tastebuds sing. The edamame was portioned well and the light salt was nice. I'm pleased to have had an experience that makes me want to return!“
“Anyone can seemingly make sushi seem better by making it more complex, but the real test is whether they can take the simple and make it excellent. Sushi-Ki-ichi does just that. They stick to the simple offerings, leading to an experience that feels less Americanized than other Japanese restaurants. That's not to say I don't love some level of creativity, but you don't need it here. That's because the family that owns Sushi Ki-ichi wants to create an authentic meal - a notion that was confirmed for sure when we had a conversation with the owner. In fact, they take quality to the next level with their equipment and efforts they take to make sure that what they serve is the highest quality, including specific freezers for the fish. We didn't try Sushi Ki-ichi for the first couple of years because we figured that the previous restaurant, a Chinese buffet that had gone downhill and fallen off the cliff, had rebranded and reopened as something new. Now I feel that for those first couple of years, we missed out. This has quickly become my favorite place in Portland. I look forward to any trips I take across town from Vancouver to Tigard, and make a point to stop in and grab a bite.“
“Follow up to my visits here. When restaurants try to use sticky rice in place of sushi rice. It is not worth revisiting. Not sure what happened but I was disappointed.First time eating here, great choice!! Delicious sushi, and fresh. Prices reasonable too.이 맛있어요. 그들은 한국말을 한다“
“I wish I could give Sushi Town more than a 5 star review. For a conveyer belt sushi place, the fish is ALWAYS super fresh. We absolutely love the place and people! I recommend trying the seared salmon, fire storm roll (if you like spicy), sashimi combo.Dietary restrictions: My fiance is celiac gluten free and they always accommodate us with making rolls and sashimi with now sauce.“
“We took our order to go, but the atmosphere was pleasant while we waited. The service and folks working was just fantastic. Really good kind people. The food was good, don’t get me wrong. It’s just not so good that I’ll go out of my way to get it again.“
“Great little “hole in the wall” authentic Japanese sushi restaurant. The food was legit! But this is definitely not the place to go if you are in any kind of a hurry as the service is pretty slow. However, I believe that has more to do with the freshness and quality of the food they serve rather than the employees themselves, so it’s a fair trade off if you’re looking for something other than your average run of the mill sushi-go-round that you can find anywhere.Oddly enough, they take your order table side, but then immediately ask you to pay for your meal upfront before they will put your order in with the kitchen. Not necessarily a bad thing, just a bit odd.But the food here is top notch, with generous portion sizes too. I wouldn’t make a special trip, but it’s definitely worth stopping in for a visit if you are in the area.“
“Ordered sushi online to go and I was very impressed. Fast service, friendly staff, good portions and everything was delicious. The lunch special is a great deal and the rocky salmon roll was the best sushi I've ever had Will definitely be back again!“
“I have been a loyal customer in this place forever since the pandemic. Staffs always so friendly and nice. Five stars for very clean spot. Food is always fresh and delicious. If you are looking for a late night dine-in, this place is a must!“
“We ordered sushi burritos from this food cart, which had recently increased their prices by $5. We were hesitant to order at first, but we caved because we were craving them and one of us had never tried them before. The service was great! They were out of chicken, but they offered to make us a custom burrito for a small upcharge. However, they later found that they had enough chicken after all, so we didn't have to pay extra. The wrap itself didn't hold up very well. It came apart a few times, which made eating the burrito a bit messy. The seaweed didn't wrap around the sushi fully, which also contributed to the messiness. The parchment paper was also a bit weak, which made it difficult to hold the burrito together.Overall, the food was delicious and filling. However, we don't think it's worth the new price of $15 for a food cart item. We would be more likely to order it again if it was priced at $12. The price increase from $10 to $15 is a bit steep, and we think it's not quite worth the extra money for a food cart item.“
“STANDARD SUSHINothing too fantastic about this spot, but worth giving a 5 star review. They get their fish from the same sushi supplier *most of the sushi bars get their fish from. If you want fish flown in from Japan overnight, you will need to check out the place in Sellwood or downtown Portland that ARE something special. But I digress…This place’s prices used to be high, but now they are just average and reasonable with the rest of the local spots increasing their prices dramatically over the last 3 years. I love their take on age dashi tofu and their real crab sunomono salad is the best in town. Their sushi is serviceable and I will get the creamy scallop roll or other creation on occasion.“
“Was looking for a quick late but light lunch for my first meal today. I was seated immediately and a friendly server greeted me and took my order. Got Tea served in a big mug was great. Miso soup to start, squid salad and cucumbers and rice vinegar… Nigiri rolls - Yellowtail and Red Tuna… Everything was excellent. This will be a regular spot for me!“
“super friendly staff and awesome manager who didn't blink an eye and replaced my mom and aunts order to accommodate their health conditions. bomb food and and super fast serve time. will be back again Special shout out to Damont for being an awesome manager!“
“Borderline 4-5 star place, pretty good sushi for a conveyor belt place. Both the raw and cooked were good. The service was reasonably good and place was clean. I would definitely come back again. Bill was high but it is what u expect now for eating out.Kid-friendliness: Kids will like it here“
“Overall great experience and the only reason I didn't give it the 5th star was just based on bias of beverage selection. It was very limited and that is about it. The place is cozy and the staff was friendly and the food was awesome. I had the spider roll and it was delicious. Everything tasted so delicious and fresh. Flavor packed and fresh. The crunch roll was also delicious. Soft, packed with flavor and the crab was delicious. Just to be clear this place is great just would like to have a larger beverage selection.“
“I almost don't want to rave about this place, for fear it will become too popular. But this place is great. It isn't just another belt full of stuff swimming in sriracha and mayo and jalapeños. The rolls are complex and tasty, and the rice---they must use the best rice anywhere. Prices are good, especially considering what you get for your money.“
“We noticed this place on a random trip to the post office. It has a chill vibe with the graphics, open concept and music they play.We ordered veggie tempura and a salad to start. I ordered the Komo lemonade and added sake to booze it up!Rolls were spicy jalapeño roll, crunchy roll and the Hawaiian! All were delicious. We would return here!Vegetarian options: No specific vegetarian section but many options.“
