“I've had sushi all around Oregon and this is definitely some of the highest quality I've eaten. I have eaten here over 15 times and been disappointed once slightly due to presentation. The poke is definitely some of the best around. I love all the sushi burritos and donuts as well as the rolls.“

“I ordered dim sum crab rangoons, fried chicken potstickers, chicken skewers, and custard buns.
Everything was SO GOOD. The rangoons were very flavorful and savory with light and crispy wonton.
Fried potstickers were the best of both worlds.
The chicken skewers were lightly breaded thigh meat, so tender and juicy!
The custard buns were a delicious treat! Soft and flavorful and the custard tasted decadent.

Service was friendly and exceptional!

“This place is special. We had a piece of bluefin that was shear perfection. Also, a deep friend scallop was incredible. Everything was great. The only thing is the tasting menu isn’t a ton of food, I wouldn’t go too hungry. Or if you’re still hungry you can order more after the tasting menu.“

“We stopped by Momiji Sushi near OHSU for happy hour and enjoyed a few of the appetizer specials. The food was tasty, the atmosphere was nice, and the service was friendly. It’s a good spot to relax and grab a few bites at a reasonable price.
Keep in mind that the happy hour menu features discounted items, so the portions and offerings reflect that. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and would come back again to try more of their menu.“

“I have been going here eating in person and doing take out for at least 15 years. In all those years I have never been disappointed. The food is excellent and the service to match. The prices have barely changed in all this time with portions being consistent and great value. Two can easily eat here for $30 or less leaving full and happy. Highly recommended to anyone.“

I also decided to try the sushi burrito since it was something different from my usual order. It was unique, packed with fresh ingredients, and much more filling than I expected. I always enjoy finding small local restaurants that put so much effort into their food, and this place definitely did. If you're in Portland and looking for good sushi, Momoji is worth checking out. “Yami sushi is easily the best all-around Asian food that you can get in Portland and their difference is in the small detail of each dish, every presentation. Each sushi roll is jampacked with flavor and bursting with ingredients in a perfect harmony and presentation. You can really tell the love that the chefs put into every single roll that they make. The quantity is also very generous, and portions will put you in a satisfying coma afterwards. They have a lot of various menu items, none of which you can go wrong with selecting. Whether that’s noodles, soups, rice dishes, sushi rolls, or the underrated appetizer/starters (spicy edamame 🔥, seaweed salad, tempura) and desserts ( Bing Soo is better than any standalone place in Portland ). They also have a lot of interesting beverage and alcoholic choices. The environment is very family run and cozy, and the real beautiful orchids and plant decorations on each table are very nice touch. The soy sauce is also handmade? I could drink a whole bottle.

The service is always very warm, welcoming and responsive. They take care of you right and it doesn’t take much to feel familiar.

Shout out to the kalbi item on the menu, which is also better than any Korean restaurant I’ve been to in Portland. A place full of hidden gems and lovely individuals working hard in their community.

“I went here for the first time tonight (Friday, 6/30) at 5:15 PM. It was fabulous! Our server went out of the way with us, including looking into different types of tequila they have so my mom could have the perfect margarita. The food came out very quickly, our water was always full, and the ambiance was great. We had delicious chicken gyoza, shrimp gyoza, ebi tem, and chicken karaage don. It's some of the best Japanese food we've had in the Happy Valley/Clackamas area in a long time. We will definitely be back!“

We frequently eat at this location almost every week. The staff has never been anything short of perfect in every aspect. Our food is always made fresh on the spot.
The staff even know me by face and start my order the moment they see me and it's amazing.
Because of their amazing effort we always tip generously and acknowledge there great customer service skills. The chef is the embodiment of the title chef.

Food was good, staff was polite although they were very busy and felt a bit like an inconvenience when asking for something.

“I have read some of the trashy comments in the 1 and 2 star reviews. Most of the lambasting comments I find fault. Are they as fresh as Mizumi in Tigard, probably not, but neither are 99% of the restaurants in Portland metro. I find the seasoning quite authentic. I find the food variety unmatched in Portland. I would love some of their recipes! The ***clown that faulted them for selling produce and other fare near the check out, obviously have never been to a Chinatown or to China. The trolling is totally uncalled for. This is a nice, appearing to be, a family operation with love and care put into the restaurant. We frequent this location and do not find any of those horrible comments to have any truth.“
