“Nori is my favorite sushi in Portland. The prices are just right and the service is quick and kind. The people that work here are personable and attentive. I always get the spicy edamame and the Cherry Blossom roll. It’s the all time best sushi roll in my opinion. Please run, don’t walk, to Nori for a late lunch/dinner.“

“I went here for the first time tonight (Friday, 6/30) at 5:15 PM. It was fabulous! Our server went out of the way with us, including looking into different types of tequila they have so my mom could have the perfect margarita. The food came out very quickly, our water was always full, and the ambiance was great. We had delicious chicken gyoza, shrimp gyoza, ebi tem, and chicken karaage don. It's some of the best Japanese food we've had in the Happy Valley/Clackamas area in a long time. We will definitely be back!“

“This place is special. We had a piece of bluefin that was shear perfection. Also, a deep friend scallop was incredible. Everything was great. The only thing is the tasting menu isn’t a ton of food, I wouldn’t go too hungry. Or if you’re still hungry you can order more after the tasting menu.“

“I wanted to say thank you to Ozzie, Izz & the rest of the TommyO’s team. I had a catering order for a company luncheon for 50 people. I placed the order Monday for Friday morning. Pick up food was ready when I got there at 10:30 am. They even accommodated by making a side plate for a gluten-free individual. The customer had requested a different Hawaiian restaurant and they were so happy that I didn’t take their recommendation and I brought Tommy‘Os everybody loved it. Thank you TommyO’s for a successful Lunch & Learn.“

“We love this place! We eat here regularly, and truly enjoy the food, cocktails, service, and ambiance. The black cod miso yaki is our favorite dish - it's delicious and I highly recommend it. The veggie and shrimp tempura is the best I've ever had, with an interesting mix of eggplant, mushrooms, squash, lotus root, and onions - all lightly battered and served with a delightful dipping sauce (pour the dipping sauce on the black cod, it's so good). The cocktails, especially the Japanese 75 and the shiso gin drink (I can't think of the name), are well-balanced and mixed properly, and are very yummy. I tell everyone I know to try this place! Some of the food can seem adventurous if you're not familiar with Japanese fare, but it's all delicious and beautifully presented. Finally, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the owner is a very sweet and funny lady. All around, Sushi Kuni is a great dining experience and I highly recommend checking it out.“

“I would love to give this place five stars. They're are often not open during their scheduled business hours. I've been here multiple times in the last few weeks at 12:00, which is when they say they open yet they are closed. I'm sitting here right now at 12:15 and their food truck is closed.“

“The ramen here is always amazing, but they recently started offering sushi and I can’t even express how phenomenal it is. Huge portions of super fresh fish at a REALLY reasonable price. “Wonderful experience. Because of celiac, we had never tried sushi before, and we were so excited to find a dedicated gluten free place. The servers and chefs were friendly and took time to explain and recommend dishes to us, and it was great to see how it was prepared. Bamboo sushi is good but so expensive with long wait times. We like Yoko’s but also… long wait times.

“My husband and I wanted to venture out and check out a new sushi spot. We tend to always visit the same place in Vancouver and chose to try something in Portland. I came across this restaurant on Yelp and saw it had great reviews so we thought we’d make our way out. It’s located off of 122nd and it’s next to a little corner store market. Very easy to miss and parking lot is very small. We were the only ones in there when we walked in. An Asian male greeted us right away and allowed us to pick any table to sit at. He brought over waters and played and utensils while we looked over the menu. There was quite a bit of options for the sushi and bento dishes, as well as the other Chinese food options. We order chicken gyoza, katsu chicken (which came with miso soup), 2 different sushi rolls and the chicken lo mein. Everything tasted fresh and the food items were all delicious. My husband loved all the dishes and rated everything a 5-star. The service was great and the restaurant was small and clean. We will definitely be back to try other dishes.“

“Always so kind and remember us!! There's never a wait to sit, even during happy hour we always find at least two chairs at the bar. I love being able to grab all of my favorite familiar sushi rolls while still trying new ones! I don't think there's a fee for not finishing a plate which I appreciate. Staff is super attentive and there is a small variety of non sushi items, plus a hibachi menu for the friend that doesn't like sushi!!“

“Excellent “mom and pop” sushi restaurant in Happy Valley. Sushi is always good. Service can be slow but that’s because there’s only the two of them usually. Be patient and you’ll be rewarded with the best sushi in town. We come here a couple times a month at least. Very highly recommended. Support your local businesses!“
