“This place is special. We had a piece of bluefin that was shear perfection. Also, a deep friend scallop was incredible. Everything was great. The only thing is the tasting menu isn’t a ton of food, I wouldn’t go too hungry. Or if you’re still hungry you can order more after the tasting menu.“

“Large menu with high quality assortment of entrees, noodles, bento, and beverages. The traditional Japanese design aesthetic includes a sushi bar and table seating in a comfortable ambience perfect for quiet dining for individuals and groups. Service is attentive and prompt. The Chirashi Bowl is my favorite because fresh lemon, wasabi and shoyu sauce highlight the assorted sashimi and rice. As in Japanese cuisine, where it’s believed to have digestive benefits, a small vibrantly-colored Dendrobium orchid blossom is an edible, delicately-flavored garnish on each dish. 🌸“

“This hands down is one of my favorite restaurants in Portland OR. It the same quality of other top spots in the US like Nobu , O-Ya , and Morimoto . The location is perfect located in the Pearl district. The chefs are high quality and the fish is extremely fresh. They have a great but simple flavor approach. The service is warm, helpful, and appreciative. I always ask for Joy as she is a true professional and loves providing an exceptional experience on every visit.“

“We love this place! We eat here regularly, and truly enjoy the food, cocktails, service, and ambiance. The black cod miso yaki is our favorite dish - it's delicious and I highly recommend it. The veggie and shrimp tempura is the best I've ever had, with an interesting mix of eggplant, mushrooms, squash, lotus root, and onions - all lightly battered and served with a delightful dipping sauce (pour the dipping sauce on the black cod, it's so good). The cocktails, especially the Japanese 75 and the shiso gin drink (I can't think of the name), are well-balanced and mixed properly, and are very yummy. I tell everyone I know to try this place! Some of the food can seem adventurous if you're not familiar with Japanese fare, but it's all delicious and beautifully presented. Finally, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the owner is a very sweet and funny lady. All around, Sushi Kuni is a great dining experience and I highly recommend checking it out.“

“A delightful spot we're glad to have discovered. The flavors were bold, balanced, and deeply satisfying. The service was seamless from start to finish. The food was the standout, clearly prepared with skill and care. We were greeted warmly and seated promptly. The ambiance struck a perfect balance between elegant and comfortable. The prices were very reasonable for the quality on offer. Every visit feels like a small celebration. The dishes were creative, fresh, and full of flavor. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. The space was beautifully decorated and well maintained. We'll happily keep coming back.“

“The ramen here is always amazing, but they recently started offering sushi and I can’t even express how phenomenal it is. Huge portions of super fresh fish at a REALLY reasonable price. Definitely come try it, an added bonus is that the service is always prompt and friendly! Pictured: spider roll, salmon nigiri, yellowtail nigiri, fatty tuna nigiri, salmon roe with quail egg.“

“I would love to give this place five stars. They're are often not open during their scheduled business hours. I've been here multiple times in the last few weeks at 12:00, which is when they say they open yet they are closed. I'm sitting here right now at 12:15 and their food truck is closed.“

“I was walking around aimlessly last night, and found an alley full of food carts, decided to eat at this one last night and ordered a Spider Roll.
Not only was it filling and delicious, but it was prepared quickly. Better than a lot of sushi places I been and the prices are very reasonable. Highly reccomend.“

“This is a food cart in a pod downtown. There are no tables. For those who don’t expect that it could be off putting. Having said that, get this food and take it somewhere cozy and dig in! Our Sweet Chili Shrimp and Deep Fried California rolls were so fresh and balanced and perfect. I wish I took a picture first. It’s too late. The food was too good. Next time.“

“Sake Zilla was truly outstanding and served some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. The quality and consistency of every bite were remarkable, and it was clear that an incredible amount of care went into every detail. Sitting at the chef’s counter elevated the entire meal. Watching the precision, focus, and artistry behind each piece of sushi was unforgettable and made the experience feel personal and special. This was far more than a great meal. It was one of the most impressive dining experiences I’ve had anywhere in the United States.“

“Great conveyor belt sushi place! A little busier than other spots, but we loved the mix of options on the belt (especially the salmon-focused ones). Plus they gave my daughter the chopstick helpers right at the beginning, she was happy as a clam.“

“Located in the Hollywood district next behind Trader Joe’s. It’s a family owned restaurant with friendly staff and delicious sushi. Good for family outings and date night. I love that they have a wide selection of different sakes and beer. Love the bluefin toro nigiri and cherry blossom roll! My go-to sushi joint for over 10+ years. Try it out, won’t disappoint!“

“I grew up eating asian foods so trust me when I say, this is really delish Japanese food! We had the rainbow bowl, karage bowl, baked salmon, ramen, bao buns & the musubi, all super good. We came at a time where it was really busy so had to wait a bit, but the service & quality were worth the wait. Thank you, we will be coming back 😊“

“Anyone can seemingly make sushi seem better by making it more complex, but the real test is whether they can take the simple and make it excellent. Sushi-Ki-ichi does just that. They stick to the simple offerings, leading to an experience that feels less Americanized than other Japanese restaurants. That's not to say I don't love some level of creativity, but you don't need it here. That's because the family that owns Sushi Ki-ichi wants to create an authentic meal - a notion that was confirmed for sure when we had a conversation with the owner. In fact, they take quality to the next level with their equipment and efforts they take to make sure that what they serve is the highest quality, including specific freezers for the fish. We didn't try Sushi Ki-ichi for the first couple of years because we figured that the previous restaurant, a Chinese buffet that had gone downhill and fallen off the cliff, had rebranded and reopened as something new. Now I feel that for those first couple of years, we missed out. This has quickly become my favorite place in Portland. I look forward to any trips I take across town from Vancouver to Tigard, and make a point to stop in and grab a bite.“

“Ok, so we went into this place because we were looking for a quick lunch. I have to say, I was surprised. You know when you go into a conveyor belt sushi place at about 3pm and the sushi has been rotating around for god knows how long? the typical california rolls, the meh selection, and the odd grapes or weird looking desert.. etc? This was NOT it! The belt had beautiful rolls, sashimi, poke salad, and on and on.. We sat down and three chefs were slamming BEAUTIFUL food down. We ordered a couple of items that were not on the belt, and our guilty pleasure, tempura veggies... So good, and so fast.. As is our usual standard, we got one too many.. The best part of this is that the prices were GREAT! Last time I went to a sushi place, lunch it cost about 80 for two. We spent 40 dollars total, minus our tip. The servers and chefs were friendly and fast..
Only reason I gave 4 stars for the atmosphere is that it is sort of a typical lunch place, not anything exceptional as far as decor goes. But I also prefer hole in the wall humble places.“

“Enjoyed my first visit here. We needed a sushi restaurant that definitely had a conveyor belt for an 11 year old, and had something other than sushi on the menu for his grandfather. The hibachi option was great for him and the kiddo always loves sushi as lung as it arrives by train. Sushi Chiyo fit the bill.“

“Visited twice since I been here in Portland. Great vibe, nice, and friendly employees. I had been suffering depression all week and hadn't eaten. Stop by after doing my laundry. Had some miso soup, calamari, and Jack Daniels jack and jingle to drink. The bartender, the music, the ambience, and food was really good. Changed my mood and I got out later Saturday night and had a great Sunday. I highly recommend this place. My co-worker says the spicy tuna and jalapeno poppers are awesome. On my try next visit list“

“Every time I come it’s unfortunately late like 30 min before closing late, but the lady who I believe owns the store or is a very dedicated worker is always there with a smile on her face ready for a customer, her kindness goes beyond food, she puts 110% into the customers and into the business. The food is always perfect, fresh and fast! Very proud to call this my neighborhood restaurant“

“Soooo bomb! If you like Sushi, this is the spot! Everything is made fresh and carefully crafted. The Sundobu Stew was incredible. Also got the App Sampler (I could buy that sauce by the liter), Edamame, Yalisoba and some rolls.
The Naruto Roll is SO REFRESHING! Las Vegas Roll was huge. This is my favorite spot in all of Oregon.“
“I tried SushiLove for the first time today (Oregon City location) and I am hooked! The service and food were amazing. I couldn't decide what I wanted to try first, so I ordered a half order of the Glazed and Confused, half order of the Mother of Dragons and an order of the Starry Inari. SO SO good! My new go-to place. As someone with Celiac, I love that I can have this Sushi without any worries! Even the little soy sauce packet was gluten free. ❤“

“I have been going here eating in person and doing take out for at least 15 years. In all those years I have never been disappointed. The food is excellent and the service to match. The prices have barely changed in all this time with portions being consistent and great value. Two can easily eat here for $30 or less leaving full and happy. Highly recommended to anyone.“
