I have read some of the trashy comments in the 1 and 2 star reviews. Most of the lambasting comments I find fault. Are they as fresh as Mizumi in Tigard, probably not, but neither are 99% of the restaurants in Portland metro. I find the seasoning quite authentic. I find the food variety unmatched in Portland. Super King Buffet is a Chinese restaurant offering a variety of food options, mainly focused on Asian cuisine. The service is known to be friendly and attentive, with staff quickly clearing empty plates and keeping drinks refilled. The seating is spacious, and drink orders are taken promptly. The buffet features a range of dishes like chicken katsu with peanut sauce, frog legs, calamari, and short ribs, along with a solid dim sum selection that provides a good nod to traditional flavors. Customers can enjoy a wide range of fresh food, including seafood, sushi, vegetable lo mein, rice noodles, orange chicken, tilapia, duck, kimchi, and steamed vegetables. Many appreciate the friendly staff and clean environment, although some note that the restaurant could use more lighting and updating. The restaurant has a koi pond at the entrance, adding a nice touch to the ambiance. Prices are around $70 for a meal for two adults and one child, but some customers were surprised by the new all-day price of $21.99 for lunch. Overall, Super King Buffet is enjoyed for its tasty food, variety, and reasonable prices, making it a solid option for those in the area looking for different Asian dishes.
