“Tasty Teriyaki is a family-owned restaurant with a spot on restaurant title; the teriyaki is indeed tasty.

The lady who served my brother and I was very kind. The portions were generous—especially for the price. After my meal, I was stuffed, satiated, and satisfied.

I recommend the chicken teriyaki or the spicy chicken plates. For those who want a smaller portion, the chicken teriyaki comes in a bowl-option for a few dollars cheaper! If you are in Sherwood and want tasty food for a fair price, check this place out!“

“1 pm lunch was amazing. An hour before closing, quiet anx quick. The service was impeccable. The inside is very chic with a modern feel. The entire experience felt upscale. The food was divine. Fresh. Flavorful. Some portions seemed larger than needed, but no complaints. Loved it. The entire space was also extremely clean. 10/10 will return.“

“Anyone can seemingly make sushi seem better by making it more complex, but the real test is whether they can take the simple and make it excellent. Sushi-Ki-ichi does just that. They stick to the simple offerings, leading to an experience that feels less Americanized than other Japanese restaurants. That's not to say I don't love some level of creativity, but you don't need it here. That's because the family that owns Sushi Ki-ichi wants to create an authentic meal - a notion that was confirmed for sure when we had a conversation with the owner. In fact, they take quality to the next level with their equipment and efforts they take to make sure that what they serve is the highest quality, including specific freezers for the fish. We didn't try Sushi Ki-ichi for the first couple of years because we figured that the previous restaurant, a Chinese buffet that had gone downhill and fallen off the cliff, had rebranded and reopened as something new. Now I feel that for those first couple of years, we missed out. This has quickly become my favorite place in Portland. I look forward to any trips I take across town from Vancouver to Tigard, and make a point to stop in and grab a bite.“

“Stopped in around noon last Friday for lunch. There were about 8 people in line placing orders, plus the phone was ringing off the hook for takeout orders, so obviously this place is popular. I ordered the yakisoba noodles with chicken ($12) and my friend ordered the lunch special ($13) that included chicken teriyaki, 3 potstickers, and a fountain drink. Plenty of booth and table seating. It took about 20 minutes for the food to arrive, but worth the wait. The portions were huge, and everything was delicious and well prepared. I ended up taking the leftovers home and still had plenty for lunch the next day. I will definitely go back again to try some of the other menu items.“

“Went here on a whim with a colleague and the atmosphere is gorgeous and refined but has a taste of izakaya to it! The food was absolutely delicious! I had the shrimp tempura maki and the wagyu (from Hokkaido, not American wagyu) nigiri and it was perfect! My colleague had the sashimi bento and bao bun. She fell in love with the bao bun and miso soup that came with the bento. Staff are super nice, attentive, and ready to answer any questions about the menu. I will definitely be back!“

“Had breakfast the other day at Yuzu and had a wonderful experience. Location is unassuming and is a hidden treasure. Meal was fresh, tasty and incredibly traditional. I enjoyed the variety of the breakfast meal and received great service from Yuko.

“Parking was a pain in the rear, but that's the only negative thing I have to say.

We ordered a few rolls and a chirashi, and want to come back just to try more. The rolls were decent size and the chirashi had plenty of fish, all feeling fresh.

Definitely recommend this place, even in between the surrounding restaurants.“

If I was to critique anything, it would be that the steak was a little dry. Otherwise, I will come back here if I go to the food carts again. So far it has been the best one in that food cart pod.“

“This restaurant is very clean and pretty. The service was amazing and most importantly, the food was really good! We got the beaverton roll and the veggie tempura. “If your in Newberg Nara Teriyaki has the best spicey chicken teriyaki for as long as I have gone there since 2008. If you go during lunch call your order in. If the phone is busy, call again. They have a large menu, but I have only ordered there spicey chicken teriyaki with white or brown rice and salad. It worth it. Parking can be scarce. I've parked a couple blocks away at least a dozen times during lunch time.“

“First time trying & don't know what took me so long. I'm a big fan of Katsu Chicken but rarely order it especially if done with chicken breast. It's rare to find chicken breast not overly dry so avoid ordering it. They told me they use thigh meat for all their dishes so went with it. This was wonderful, cooked to perfection, & a huge amount of food. I will be eating on it for two days. The place was super clean & put the food out quickly. I can't wait to try some of their other dishes.“

“There was plenty of seating room but the entrance and the hallway to the bathroom smelled like homeless camp. Probably something that had happened earlier but it was 11:30am on a Tuesday just before the lunch rush and it was not inviting. I took my food to go.“

“I’ll admit that when I walked in I was not exactly encouraged by its style. But what Bentoz may lack it decoration it makes up for in the quality of its food. My 3 other family members had the chicken teriyaki and I had the bibimbap myself and it was really good. So good that on the first bite I literally said “Wow, this is really good” in the middle of the restaurant. Definitely recommend for anyone who happens to be staying/visiting in the area“

“Astoria, Oregon local here. My girlfriend had a job interview next door so I thought I’d stop in for a snack. I ordered the sake and unagi nigiri and the Fire Viking roll. They gave me a complimentary milk tea when I didn’t order a drink. The nigiri cuts were huge and fresh compared to what I eat on the coast (we’ve got some mediocre spots). The Fire Viking was a little spicy, sweet, and savory. Crab, Tuna, Salmon and Shrimp in the same roll! When I went to write this review, I realized the restaurant was actually closed for a lunch break. They served me anyway. Yummy food, and efficient service. Thanks for the meal!“

“I get soooo nervous trying new restaurants as I’m suppperr picky, but I tried the beef yakisoba and tempura shrimp for the first time and it was amazing. Prices are incredible. Portion sizes are more than enough.

I always add extra sauces and spice but I would really enjoy it without adding anything extra. The flavor, freshness, and warm/ welcoming service is there!!

I ordered to go, food was prepared quickly even with about 5 people ahead of me. I decided to eat inside and order a drink and the lady was super kind and welcoming when some places can be sticklers about that.

“I lived in Tokyo, and have had great sushi. So has my brother who lived with me in Tokyo. He thinks Sinju sushi, omakase-style prepared by Alicio, is as good as any he's had. I hesitate to say that, but only because I'm more cautious. Alicio treated us right; the nigiri was great. This is a first class place run by a first class guy.“

We ordered their standard catering package and added on salad and 20 Eggrolls total cost before tipping was about $170.00. This was enough good for about 16 people. We only had 12 people, we ate the rest the next day as leftovers. I will use them in the future and I would highly recommend them to anybody who is looking for high-quality food with great service.“

The chicken had such a good color and flavor and Plenty of rice. The other thing I really like about this place if the new folks the Pacific Northwest who've not tried teriyaki, this is exactly how it used to be 20+ years ago. I wish I would not have gotten caught up in all the hype of new places and more places like this survived the last decade.

I heard both Japanese and Korean in the kitchen and Spanish and Russian in the seating area. I also saw a very timid regular white guy playing with the Sriracha and unable to handle it with his Gatorade... Excusing himself leaving 80%of his meal finished. Really a fun throwback.“

“My husband recommended this place even before we moved to Oregon. He lived here growing up, so we ordered some last night to try after a rough night. I got the tonkatsu ramen with egg and green onion, with thw assorted pork as my protein. Absolutely divine. It was warm, not overly salty, the green onions were fresh and wonderful, the soft boiled egg. My husband got the orange chicken and it was wonderful as well. He did order the fried rice and got steamed, but its okay. We both are having our leftovers for lunch today. ☺

“While visiting Portland, I came across Momoji, a small sushi restaurant that turned out to be a great find. Even though it's not a big place, the quality of the food really stood out. The sushi rolls were fresh, flavorful, and made with care. My favorite was the Salem Roll, which had an awesome combination of ingredients and tasted fantastic. I also decided to try the sushi burrito since it was something different from my usual order. It was unique, packed with fresh ingredients, and much more filling than I expected. I ended up finishing the whole thing. The staff was friendly, my food came out quickly, and the overall experience was excellent. I always enjoy finding small local restaurants that put so much effort into their food, and this place definitely did. If you're in Portland and looking for good sushi, Momoji is worth checking out. I'll definitely be stopping by again the next time I'm back in Oregon to try even more from the menu.“
