“This place had the most amazing sushi we have ever tasted! a little bit of a wait to get it, but we took that as a food sign because everything is so fresh. The restaurant itself is very clean and had very nice staff. great for date nights!“

“If you’re looking for an authentic sushi or hibachi experience, this is the spot. We’ve been coming here for years and as a person who loves hibachi (teppanyaki in Japan), this place has been a favorite of my family since our kids were small. The flavors they’re able to coax out of their protein and veggies never cease to blow us away. My husband and. I always get the shrimp/steak/chicken special for two on the grill and the way they get each protein perfect is like some kind of crazy voodoo magic on such a large grill. This small business and their staff are amazing and incredibly attentive, we always leave stuffed, happy and thankful for Fuji’s in Sherwood!“

“Me and my boyfriend moved to Oregon in 2023 and this was one of the first places we tried and fell in love with! The food is always made with quality fresh ingredients, comes out super hot, and is consistently delicious! Their orange chicken with the Mac salad is our absolute favorite! The owners are always so kind and remember us by name. They truly care about their customers experience and take pride in what they do. If you’re ever in Sherwood I highly recommend you give Koba a try!!“

“Anyone can seemingly make sushi seem better by making it more complex, but the real test is whether they can take the simple and make it excellent. Sushi-Ki-ichi does just that. They stick to the simple offerings, leading to an experience that feels less Americanized than other Japanese restaurants. That's not to say I don't love some level of creativity, but you don't need it here. That's because the family that owns Sushi Ki-ichi wants to create an authentic meal - a notion that was confirmed for sure when we had a conversation with the owner. In fact, they take quality to the next level with their equipment and efforts they take to make sure that what they serve is the highest quality, including specific freezers for the fish. We didn't try Sushi Ki-ichi for the first couple of years because we figured that the previous restaurant, a Chinese buffet that had gone downhill and fallen off the cliff, had rebranded and reopened as something new. Now I feel that for those first couple of years, we missed out. This has quickly become my favorite place in Portland. I look forward to any trips I take across town from Vancouver to Tigard, and make a point to stop in and grab a bite.“

“Authentic and fresh tuna bowl made with pride and care. Delicately placed salmon eggs and sliced green onion, generous portions and clean food and kitchen. I will come back. The cashier was mid but the chef was the real deal / I gave him a rose and thanked him. 🙏“

“Went here on a whim with a colleague and the atmosphere is gorgeous and refined but has a taste of izakaya to it! The food was absolutely delicious! I had the shrimp tempura maki and the wagyu (from Hokkaido, not American wagyu) nigiri and it was perfect! My colleague had the sashimi bento and bao bun. She fell in love with the bao bun and miso soup that came with the bento. Staff are super nice, attentive, and ready to answer any questions about the menu. I will definitely be back!“

“Fresh, beautifully presented sushi with great variety.
We ordered a mix of rolls and appetizers, and everything was consistently good. The rolls were well-balanced—not overly sauced—and the fish tasted fresh. The spicy tuna poke had a nice kick without overpowering the flavor of the fish, and the blistered shishito peppers were a perfect starter.
Presentation was thoughtful and elegant, especially the specialty rolls and nigiri. You can tell care went into both the food and plating. Service was attentive, and the overall atmosphere felt relaxed but polished…great for a casual dinner or a special night out.
Would definitely come back to try more of the menu. 🍣“

“Expect to be here for roughly 1.5 hrs but well worth it! We show up right when they open; get seated, order and food hits the table 50 minutes later. Food is very well done and worth the wait otherwise we wouldn’t keep coming back. My family has been going here for several years. If you are impatient; this place is not for you!“

“Genuinely one of the best teriyaki meals I’ve had in the local area! Their portion sizes are very generous and tastes are amazing, with old school prices like 2015. The ribeye teriyaki is my personal favorite. Their kimchi is also fresh, perfectly seasoned, and only $1.50 for a medium sized cup, I am not sure if they make it in house but they could fool me that they do. I can also say their chili sauce that they send home is great too, most places keep it simple with sriracha, but their chili has the perfect heat and sweetness!
We also tried their egg rolls and pot stickers and they’re crispy and flavorful. Would really recommend coming here for a quick meal, their lunch special is especially affordable. Our family has been coming here for over 15 years!“

“The best sushi I’ve ever had in Oregon. Just top-tier flavor profiles. Incredibly fresh fish. A warm inviting atmosphere with great customer service. I’ve never had even a single bad thing from the entire menu.
Highly advise the tangy tangy roll. I’ve never seen a sushi roll with razor thin lemon slices on it before, but it really works shockingly well. Everything is so bright and flavorful.
The price is slightly higher, but incredibly reasonable for the quality of food you get. Many many places in the area are charging $10 more per roll for rolls that are vastly inferior to this place.
I hope this place never shuts down because nothing compares.
Honorable mention to Syun Izakaya and Blue Fin Tuna & Sushi (1337 ne broadway, not the bluefin sushi bar down the road that’s awful) for being the only two that come remotely close in quality out of the hundreds of places I’ve tried in Oregon.“
“I already knew the food would be good when I saw the steamed rice. The flavor was really good and the portions are very big. If I was to critique anything, it would be that the steak was a little dry. Otherwise, I will come back here if I go to the food carts again. So far it has been the best one in that food cart pod.“

“Was told about this “secret” restaurant with little signage, weird hours, that you had to get there before opening to secure a seat. Excited to try, we got there 15 min prior to opening and indeed, 7-10 before opening, we saw someone going in so we opened the door and they were seating people. By opening time they were nearly full. Our excitement was seemingly validated by the opening rush.
Atmosphere was clean, staff were friendly. The menu looked delicious. The food however, hmm. We got their signature ramen, which is $18.50. It was ok. The broth wasn’t as rich as other ramens I’ve had in the area but had some unique flavors. The cubed pork belly in the soup was tender but slightly bland. The sliced chashu was ok but only 1-2 pieces in each bowl. There were limited veggies in the soup too, I prefer more. Didn’t like the fine angel-hair noodles, I prefer a thicker noodles at other places. Overall the ramen at FuddoYama or Lucky Cat is a lot better. Even Ramen Ryoma inside Uwajimaya was better, despite them not even having tonkatsu.
We also got some sides. A small bowl of rice was $5. Edamame was $8 which is pricey, but when it arrived, it was the smallest edamame serving I’ve ever seen. There was literally a child’s size handful only. $8 felt like robbery. The other sides, fried tofu and karrage chicken were delicious, but also priced at nearly an entree but the portion size was on the smaller size. Spent over $90 for two adults and a young child who only ate a couple sides and didn’t leave full. Something is wrong with that picture.
Overall, was meh. Probably won’t return. Overhyped and overpriced. I’m all for hidden gems but I don’t understand the buzz about this place. I eat ramen 1-2 times a week and have tried I think every place that serves ramen on the west side. The best tasting ramen and best value in town is Lucky Cat ramen full stop. And it’s only $12.
All you other restaurants need to step up your game.“

“I didn’t take a photo (regret it now!), but these were honestly the best sushi I’ve had in Beaverton.
Everything was incredibly fresh, juicy, and full of flavor. The fish tasted super fresh, and the ingredient combinations were just perfect — nothing to add, nothing to change. I’m genuinely impressed.
I ordered three rolls, and it basically turned into three full meals — they’re that filling and generous in size.
Amazing quality for the price. Absolutely worth it.
Keep it up! 🙌“

“I’ll admit that when I walked in I was not exactly encouraged by its style. But what Bentoz may lack it decoration it makes up for in the quality of its food. My 3 other family members had the chicken teriyaki and I had the bibimbap myself and it was really good. So good that on the first bite I literally said “Wow, this is really good” in the middle of the restaurant. Definitely recommend for anyone who happens to be staying/visiting in the area“

“First time trying this restaurant, and I was blown away. Small and cozy, food is out of this world. Sauces are made in house, chicken is grilled perfectly, the rice is done just right. The people are super friendly and make sure you are taken care of. 10 out of 10.“
“We had the best experience this evening at Nikki! Amazing food and presentation. Our waitress was AMAZING (wish I had caught her name) and went above and beyond to make it a great experience for all of us, including my 9 month old daughter. They also take food allergens seriously, and I had no worries when ordering because our waitress was very attentive and reassuring how careful their kitchen is. The pricing definitely reflects the quality you are getting, and overall a great dining experience. Can't wait to go back!“

“There was plenty of seating room but the entrance and the hallway to the bathroom smelled like homeless camp. Probably something that had happened earlier but it was 11:30am on a Tuesday just before the lunch rush and it was not inviting. I took my food to go.“

“First time trying & don't know what took me so long. I'm a big fan of Katsu Chicken but rarely order it especially if done with chicken breast. It's rare to find chicken breast not overly dry so avoid ordering it. They told me they use thigh meat for all their dishes so went with it. This was wonderful, cooked to perfection, & a huge amount of food. I will be eating on it for two days. The place was super clean & put the food out quickly. I can't wait to try some of their other dishes.“

“A little cold inside, but amazing service and food. I got the Chicken Yakisoba noodles and it had amazing flavor. The chicken had great flavor but was a bit soft/ chewy and my brain kept questioning if it was truly chicken. But that could definitely be a ME issue. Overall great food and a variety of extra sauces/ marinades on the side. I will surely be back, but for the beef next time!!“

“It has been a long time since I’ve gone to a teriyaki restaurant because my wife has resisted it. Our friends wanted to go here and, I was excited, and my wife agreed. We both had the chicken teriyaki lunch special, which come with chicken teriyaki on a bed of white rice, a side of either sweet and sour chicken or three pot stickers, and a small side salad with a house dressing. I just assumed the sweet and sour chicken was what I receive in a Chinese restaurant. Boy was I wrong! It was like way over cooked fried chicken. It was so hard that it was difficult to eat and there was absolutely no sweet or sour flavor. My wife said the pot stickers were soft but did not taste very good. Fortunately, the teriyaki chicken was very good and adding the sauce to the rice made the rice very good. The house sauce on the salad was very good. The lunch special came with a soft drink and the entire lunch was $13.50. The lady behind the counter was very nice but speaks Japanese and very little English. I tried to tell her the chicken was almost inedible but she had no idea what I was saying. We do not live in Portland so there is almost no chance we will eat there again but I would recommend the chicken teriyaki with fried rice, which our friends had and they said it was very good.“

“I came to this restaurant by myself to try it out before recommending it to my hubby. He loves a good Dragon Roll, so I tried it and was impressed by how good it tasted! The fish was fresh. I also got an Alaska Roll and you can taste quality of the fish. My rolls did not break so the rice was always intact. Will definitely be coming back!“

“Delicious food, gentleman was very nice and quick. Seemed to be only him there. The place had a weird vibe though, just came off as way too many random ornaments and decorations with strange TV channels. Weird lighting. Seemed a bit dirty. Felt a bit creepy to be honest. They have rc cola though so that's a huge win.“

“On March 6, 2021 we ordered catering services from Zen teriyaki and Beaverton. The quality of service and food was amazing and the price point was spot on as well. We ordered their standard catering package and added on salad and 20 Eggrolls total cost before tipping was about $170.00. This was enough good for about 16 people. We only had 12 people, we ate the rest the next day as leftovers. I will use them in the future and I would highly recommend them to anybody who is looking for high-quality food with great service.“

“Really enjoyed our meal from Seoul Grill. We ordered the chicken plate and the beef plate, and both were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The portions were generous, making it a great value for the price. This is definitely more of a takeout focused restaurant than a sit down spot, but the quality of the food is excellent. If you're looking for delicious Korean food with good portion sizes and fast service, Seoul Grill is well worth a visit.“

“Very impressed. Ordered a fresh hand roll with yellowtail and avocado — fish was clean and fresh, rice properly seasoned, and the texture balance was excellent. The ginger and soy were well portioned, and the overall presentation was simple and honest.
It’s not flashy — it’s focused on quality. If you appreciate fresh fish and straightforward execution, this is a great stop“

“While visiting Portland, I came across Momoji, a small sushi restaurant that turned out to be a great find. Even though it's not a big place, the quality of the food really stood out. The sushi rolls were fresh, flavorful, and made with care. My favorite was the Salem Roll, which had an awesome combination of ingredients and tasted fantastic. I also decided to try the sushi burrito since it was something different from my usual order. It was unique, packed with fresh ingredients, and much more filling than I expected. I ended up finishing the whole thing. The staff was friendly, my food came out quickly, and the overall experience was excellent. I always enjoy finding small local restaurants that put so much effort into their food, and this place definitely did. If you're in Portland and looking for good sushi, Momoji is worth checking out. I'll definitely be stopping by again the next time I'm back in Oregon to try even more from the menu.“

“I got the chicken and rice With an egg roll. Everything was perfectly done. Super crispy egg roll chicken. And salad was just normal... Not shown because I ate it.
The chicken had such a good color and flavor and Plenty of rice. The other thing I really like about this place if the new folks the Pacific Northwest who've not tried teriyaki, this is exactly how it used to be 20+ years ago. I wish I would not have gotten caught up in all the hype of new places and more places like this survived the last decade.
I heard both Japanese and Korean in the kitchen and Spanish and Russian in the seating area. I also saw a very timid regular white guy playing with the Sriracha and unable to handle it with his Gatorade... Excusing himself leaving 80%of his meal finished. Really a fun throwback.“

“Stopped here while traveling and me and the wife enjoyed our food niche little spot for some Japanese food. I'm surprised they actually use nice plates and silverware where most other places would just use the traditional Styrofoam to go boxes. If back in Tigard would visit again. Price is reasonable too.“

“House of Teriyaki absolutely crushes it. This place delivers the kind of comfort food that hits you right in the soul. The chicken teriyaki is insanely tender, the sauce is perfectly balanced—sweet, savory, and addictive—and the portions are generous enough to make you wonder how they stay in business. The staff is fast, friendly, and somehow remembers regulars like you’re family. If you want a no‑nonsense, flavor‑packed meal that never disappoints, House of Teriyaki is the spot. “Place is fairly good for teriyaki. We only get food for dine in so I don't know what the take out is like. Pricing is good for the portions and food is always tasty. “I saw the negative reviews and was dismayed. BUT when we got there and saw the amount of people who were enjoying themselves. This amount of people would not have been and I was heartened by this. First off the service people. When we asked they were prompt. The sushi filled me up. The variety was astounding. I tried most of their different prepared vegetables dishes. Beef dishes as well. My wife ate her fill of various shellfish and other different kinds of seafood. The little dishes of ice cream was a nice touch for desert. It has a bit of everything for everybody. I highly recommend this restaurant. This is our favorite restaurant. Easy to find. Easy to get to. Lots of parking room.“
