“Lillia Comedor provided excellent food with wonderful inventive flair as to ingredients and sauces and overall food presentation. Service was both very efficient and very friendly/ pleasant without being overly intrusive. Portions from the Chef's menu were reasonable even for big eaters such as myself. We understood that the quality of the restaurant required a high level of expense vis a vis the quality of the food artistry and the ingredients used as well as the level of service. Thus we had no issues with the price points of the food. However, unless they manage some national write up's such as Kann, which has roughly same price level ( maybe even a little higher) has received I worry that the Portland dining population may not find it accessible given the large number of chef owned mid priced (entrees $25-35) restaurants, which not of quite the same quality are often quite good. So it would be a shame as Lillia Comedor is a gem worth the expense if one's budget can afford it.“

“I picked a lunch spot on a total whim after flying in from Texas, then discovered the best comfort karē outside of Japan. Absolutely incredible, rich flavors that speak for themselves. Nothing is hidden or muddled; the recipe is full bodied, served insanely quick, and with the hospitality of an old friend you haven't seen in years (big shoutout to one-man army Mr. Makoto Yoshino). If you're a veteran that's ever been stationed in Japan, pair this up with Jinro and a Page 11 and it's like you're back in Oki! The service was spot-on, the food arrived in record time, and that ramen? Sheer perfection. The broth was a flavor bomb, the chashu was tender and divine, and those noodles? Freshly made and sublime. We left feeling like we just discovered ramen nirvana.“

My fiance and I drove to Portland for the day and made the last minute decision to try out a sushi place. Hana Sushi and Izakaya Pearl turned out to be a lovely surprise.

Food was quick and fun as it was distributed on a conveyor belt. We did also order from the menu (a fried tuna roll) which was also fantastic.

For drinks we got the Vietnamese Iced Coffee, one with brown sugar pearls, coconut milk and Oreos and the other with just oat milk and Oreos. The drink customization was an awesome surprise--definitely order a drink from them as it will not disappoint!

We will definitely come again if we are ever in the Portland area.“

“Just moved into the area, decided this would be my first cart I'd try. They do chicken and they do it well! Reasonably priced. Reasonably generous portions of proteins. My only suggestion is cut salad and add more rice! However this is merely a matter of opinion. The important part is the chicken portions are extremely generous. It's delicious and I'm sure I will return! Salad was well dressed without drenching it, potstickers were neither too crispy or soggy, just right. Well done!“

“I have been trying to eat here for a while and I keep forgetting and when I do remember it's closed. I finally went and made it and I got the Miso Tofu and it was amazing. It was big enough but not too big. Perfect portion and light flavor which is what i wanted. I didn't want something big like a burrito and this was perfect. Friendly staff and welcoming vibe. It's a walkin venue you can't sit down. You order and take your food outside. To drink we got the Cold Brew Matcha Green Tea Unsweetened. Very refreshing and no sugar but it had a somewhat sweet aftertaste but not too sweet. I would go back and try the other selctions.“

If you live on the east side of town and looking for a good place to have some exceptional pho without driving all the way to SE 82nd, look no further than here. I would even argue it beats a lot of the local pho spots you find on SE 82nd. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive to our needs and food came out as if it were made with love and care. I took my mom and little brother out here for lunch last week, because I’ve always driven by this location and have always wondered if it’s good, trust me IT’S GOOD. This place truly deserves all the success because from the moment we walked in, ate and left we felt happy. Walking in you can see a glimpse of the kitchen and it looks up to date and cared for. “I have been going here eating in person and doing take out for at least 15 years. In all those years I have never been disappointed. The food is excellent and the service to match. The prices have barely changed in all this time with portions being consistent and great value. Two can easily eat here for $30 or less leaving full and happy. Highly recommended to anyone.“

“So I exclusively get tamagos from here but they are very tasty.

I tend to order anywhere from 2-4 max at a time with two tamagos in each order.
(We •used• to order around 6-12 max orders at a time (yes this does in fact mean I would devour 24 tamagos over the course of 2 days. it’s a safe food for me) because they are so good but they raised the prices when the egg prices jumped up in 2025 and never really brought it back down which made that kinda more unsustainable for such a large order so now we rocking the 2-4 count.)

the tamagos are consistent in texture and taste and have never failed to delight me.

The staff is kind and efficient (They sometimes put smiley faces on your takeout box which is cute) and offer miso (both spicy and not) soup while you wait which was very important in the winter cold for making the wait bearable.

My housemate has had a variety of their other sushi’s and has never been disappointed by the quality or taste. This Shushi cart is overall very affordable for the sushi’s they get and it’s their favorite place to get sushi from (which is also their favorite kind of food) so it’s recommended by multiple members of my house.“

“Yami sushi is easily the best all-around Asian food that you can get in Portland and their difference is in the small detail of each dish, every presentation. Each sushi roll is jampacked with flavor and bursting with ingredients in a perfect harmony and presentation. You can really tell the love that the chefs put into every single roll that they make. The quantity is also very generous, and portions will put you in a satisfying coma afterwards. They have a lot of various menu items, none of which you can go wrong with selecting. Whether that’s noodles, soups, rice dishes, sushi rolls, or the underrated appetizer/starters (spicy edamame 🔥, seaweed salad, tempura) and desserts ( Bing Soo is better than any standalone place in Portland ). They also have a lot of interesting beverage and alcoholic choices. The environment is very family run and cozy, and the real beautiful orchids and plant decorations on each table are very nice touch. The soy sauce is also handmade? I could drink a whole bottle.

The service is always very warm, welcoming and responsive. They take care of you right and it doesn’t take much to feel familiar.

Shout out to the kalbi item on the menu, which is also better than any Korean restaurant I’ve been to in Portland. A place full of hidden gems and lovely individuals working hard in their community.

“Been twice now, and it's on the list for repeat often. Excellent sushi, love the Tiger roll, but our favorite is the citrus roll and the salmon love lemon. Sake is good, the draft beer is cold. “I went here for the first time tonight (Friday, 6/30) at 5:15 PM. It was fabulous! Our server went out of the way with us, including looking into different types of tequila they have so my mom could have the perfect margarita. The food came out very quickly, our water was always full, and the ambiance was great. We had delicious chicken gyoza, shrimp gyoza, ebi tem, and chicken karaage don. It's some of the best Japanese food we've had in the Happy Valley/Clackamas area in a long time. We will definitely be back!“

“This is the best sushi I have ever had.
We frequently eat at this location almost every week. The staff has never been anything short of perfect in every aspect. Our food is always made fresh on the spot.
The staff even know me by face and start my order the moment they see me and it's amazing.
Because of their amazing effort we always tip generously and acknowledge there great customer service skills. The chef is the embodiment of the title chef.

“The food is delicious! Stands apart from other teriyaki houses with their unique, homemade, delicious teriyaki sauce and the how they serve it over a bed of rice with the veggies mixed in it. The best part is they have a chicken breast option (which is why I tried them out). Not the nicest restaurant, but the food makes up for it.“

“I can’t believe it took us so long to come try out Muteki! The decor is so cute, but most importantly their food goes CRAZY- I was so excited to try I forgot to take a pic before having a few bites of the black garlic ramen hahaha. The noodles are nice and thick with a good bite, and the chashu pork is thick cut and pre seared- it’s SO good!

I also have to say that I saw a review dinging the prices- their bowls def cost a couple bucks more than other spots, but I’d have to argue that it’s fully worth the price both in value and quantity. They’re practically pho bowls, and on top of that they do NOT hold back on toppings. We each got a full egg instead of just a half, and SO much pork! Also plenty of bamboo shoots and mushrooms to enjoy 🥰 Realistically we could have split one bowl and still been full. I’m stoked to come back and try their dumplings next time!

The one thing to note- if you park in the parking lot by Red Robin you’ll be able to enter through that side, but there isn’t a door chime to let the staff know someone’s arrived. We showed up while it was slow, so we crossed the restaurant to open the front door to let them know we were here and someone immediately came to seat us, but if we hadn’t done that they may have not realized we were there right away!“

I’ve really gotten to know the workers/owners there and they really make the food with love, sincerity, and always provide great customer service like getting to know me, my name, what I like, etc. Genuinely my favorite teriyaki place, as I tried the other locations and either the service wasn’t as good or the way the food was made.
