Syun Izakaya had been our go to for years, but the quality of the sushi has been inconsistent as of late. This was our first time here, per a friend's recommendation, and the quality of the sashimi and specialty rolls exceeded our expectations.

I am convinced that Portland is experiencing a sushi renaissance, and Koya Sushi is a shining example of this culinary revival.
