It's also an absolute gem for romance—perfect for an anniversary or just a top-tier date night. The antipasto was a knockout—Dungeness crab with a hint of heat paired perfectly with a fresh popover. Even the Oyster Casino won me over, and I normally don't touch oysters. They even pulled off a Gorgonzola iceberg salad that I couldn't stop eating. Don has this incredible knack for balancing flavors so perfectly that my "no-go" ingredients became the highlights of the night. A total win for a special night out. I'll definitely be back. Unfortunately no pictures because the food was gone before I remembered to take a picture :).”

“Had Camila’s for the first time today and I tried the Carne Asada burrito and a Al Pastor taco. They were both very good. The asada burrito had a very good amount of meat and was seasoned well. The Al Pastor is the best I’ve had around the Hillsboro/Beaverton/Aloha area! The owners working the truck were very friendly and you could tell they liked what they were doing. Highly recommend!”

“I ordered katsudon, tonjiru, and torotaku rolls on Uber Eats. As a Japanese person, I can confidently say this place is legit haha.
The katsu was thick and properly done, not those super thin, westernized versions lol. Everything tasted really good overall.
If I had one small note, I wish the tonjiru had pork belly and that the ingredients kept a bit more texture. They were a little overcooked and kind of melted away. But still, really good and satisfying!”

“This is our favorite Mexican food truck in Beaverton, and we have tried quite a few. Their old location was walking distance from us, and we liked the food so much we followed them to their new location even though we have 3 other food trucks in walking distance, we will drive to get El Comalillo because nothing else compares. The owners are really nice too and were so welcoming when we first moved to Beaverton. We always get a taco plate and quesabirria with horchata or strawberry drink. Great food made by great people. 5 stars.”

Should replace it with a crispy rice bun with seaweed which will help compensate the seared fish burger. Too much sauce also makes the bun become too soggy.”

“I’ve ordered delivery from Thai Bloom before and really love their food, but I’ve never dined at the restaurant. A couple of friends and I met up for happy hour. It was our first time meeting there. We were originally seated on the restaurant side and when we asked about the happy hour menu we were moved to the bar area. There were no tables available but we were told we could sit at the bar until a table became available. A table freed up, so we moved to it. No sooner did we sit down when a woman (the bar hostess?) approached us and said we couldn’t sit there that it was for another group. We explained that we were told to wait at the bar for a table to free up, and she said we needed to tell her. We didn’t know about her, so why would we tell her? Even the bartender didn’t know we needed to go through her to sit at a table. It just felt to me like nobody knew what the procedures were except this one woman. She was rude and I will think twice about going there again. On a positive note, all other staff we interacted with were very polite and friendly and the food was wonderful. They have a really good happy hour menu at really good prices.”

“I come to this particular Black Bear every year because it is the one nearest to the hotel nearest to where my dad lives. I go to a Black Bear Diner pretty often, and this one is up to the same high standards as basically all the others I've visited. This visit, however, was not to see my dad but to go to his funeral. It was a really rough day today. I could hardly leave the hotel room. But when I did, and I sat there just reading for a bit over a hamburger, listening to nothing in particular, my waiter was very helpful and attentive despite there seeming to be a lot of people and not enough waiters. He had no way of knowing that today was one of the hardest days in my life. He was kind, attentive, and engaged me in a brief conversation in a natural way without it being forced. I sat for a bit after my meal and had refills for another half hour, until just after closing time. My waiter's name is Ethan. Melissa told me that while she wasn't the manager, I should put a review up online so that my compliment gets back to him. I don't know if I will be back here any time soon. If I am, I will hope to see Ethan, who just did his job and who was genuine.”

“so, just a disclaimer... I HATE waffles. Absolutely cannot stand them. That being said... I just had the Belgian waffle here, with raspberry puree.... and it was SERIOUSLY delicious!!! Perfect texture, slightly nutty flavor, and the puree was to die for!!!!”

Their vanilla latte is spectacular, and the staff are friendly. When I was at the end of my most recent pregnancy, I stopped in and the owner was very kind and compassionate. I felt very seen after that conversation about my pregnancy and the health system. I cannot recommend this place enough to chai lovers, people who love supporting local, and anyone who wants a place to go with a community atmosphere ❤️”

I ordered the Bog Island Bowl with Miso sauce. It was $17. It came with 3 different types of fish, 2 cuts each. They were all so good! It also comes with a very generous amount of fresh sliced avocado, seaweed and a crunchy veggie. There was also a ton of tasty imitation crab. Also white rice underneath everything. Atmosphere is a loud bar full of adults, kids and dogs. Also Oregon football was on. Or you can take it home. It was fine.

I would highly recommend this truck. I'm sure everything is bomb. You won't go wrong. Make sure you get a good beer if you eat inside. I paired it with a oktoberfest/weissbier and it was good.”

“Update: I have returned to this restaurant a few times after the last review. I believe in chances, this place still serves the great good. Definitely different than your typical Kalbi beef. I've become a regular there now 😁.
We've been here around 5 or 6 times now. The food always been consistent we enjoyed that very much. But my latest visit leaves me with consideration of every giving this family own place my business again. The waitress tonight are the MOST unwelcoming individuals you can encounter. None of them greet people with a smile. I let it be they might be tired, but being a family own place you really have to want to keep your customers more than ever. They just took our order, brought the food out half-ass, I asked for bowls to share, she gave us soup CUPS to eat in. Never she came by to check if we need our water refill (after i submitted this a different waitress came to check-in) or how the food was. And this place only ⅓ filled with people so they are not busy.”

“I came on their 1 year anniversary, it was amazing! Really felt like a community in there. The food was bangin'. Had the lemongrass smash burger, furikake tots, the kebab (special for the anniversary I think?), and pork egg rolls. Everything was fantastic. The egg rolls in particular were crazy good, but I'd honestly recommend you being a friend and taste everything. 10/10!”
