“Had Camila’s for the first time today and I tried the Carne Asada burrito and a Al Pastor taco. They were both very good. The asada burrito had a very good amount of meat and was seasoned well. The Al Pastor is the best I’ve had around the Hillsboro/Beaverton/Aloha area! The owners working the truck were very friendly and you could tell they liked what they were doing. Highly recommend!”

“Had breakfast the other day at Yuzu and had a wonderful experience. Location is unassuming and is a hidden treasure. Meal was fresh, tasty and incredibly traditional. I enjoyed the variety of the breakfast meal and received great service from Yuko.

My boyfriend showed me this location a few months ago and mentioned that he actually went to Chang’s when it first opened back in 89’ in downtown Portland and has followed it around since. They gave me a complimentary milk tea when I didn’t order a drink. The nigiri cuts were huge and fresh compared to what I eat on the coast (we’ve got some mediocre spots). The Fire Viking was a little spicy, sweet, and savory. Crab, Tuna, Salmon and Shrimp in the same roll! When I went to write this review, I realized the restaurant was actually closed for a lunch break. They served me anyway. Yummy food, and efficient service. Thanks for the meal!”

No sooner did we sit down when a woman (the bar hostess?) approached us and said we couldn’t sit there that it was for another group. We explained that we were told to wait at the bar for a table to free up, and she said we needed to tell her. We didn’t know about her, so why would we tell her? Even the bartender didn’t know we needed to go through her to sit at a table. It just felt to me like nobody knew what the procedures were except this one woman. She was rude and I will think twice about going there again. On a positive note, all other staff we interacted with were very polite and friendly and the food was wonderful. They have a really good happy hour menu at really good prices.”

This place has that but there is something that sets it apart from others... The effervescence of the staff make a mundane time feel extra special. Evette and Mama are the sparkle that most of these establishments are lacking. You might have a great talk about how things are going with Evette or a talkabout explaining chat gpt (😡). If you're lucky enough Mama might even regal you with stories of her walk through this awesome world. Regardless of the shake of things, you will leave with a smile and will definitely return. Sure there's video poker and minimalist food (as expected in these establishments) but, it's the awesomeness of Evette and Mama that will bring you back time and again. The cucumber salad was fresh, crunchy, and refreshing such a great way to start the meal. The cold noodles were flavorful and had a nice balance of savory and tangy flavors. But my favorite was definitely the pan-fried wontons—crispy on the bottom, juicy inside, and so satisfying!
The food came out quickly, and it’s a great spot when you’re craving dumplings and Chinese comfort food without wanting anything too heavy. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu!”

“I come to this particular Black Bear every year because it is the one nearest to the hotel nearest to where my dad lives. I go to a Black Bear Diner pretty often, and this one is up to the same high standards as basically all the others I've visited. This visit, however, was not to see my dad but to go to his funeral. It was a really rough day today. I could hardly leave the hotel room. But when I did, and I sat there just reading for a bit over a hamburger, listening to nothing in particular, my waiter was very helpful and attentive despite there seeming to be a lot of people and not enough waiters. He had no way of knowing that today was one of the hardest days in my life. He was kind, attentive, and engaged me in a brief conversation in a natural way without it being forced. I sat for a bit after my meal and had refills for another half hour, until just after closing time. My waiter's name is Ethan. Melissa told me that while she wasn't the manager, I should put a review up online so that my compliment gets back to him. I don't know if I will be back here any time soon. If I am, I will hope to see Ethan, who just did his job and who was genuine.”

So happy I found somewhere that makes cranberry/white chocolate Blondie bars from scratch! And the pumpkin bread was insanely moist🥰 I would recommend these cinnamon rolls over anywhere else.
