“The pho and steak bites were amazing! It was a great experience and super friendly!”
“This place is SPECTACULAR! Food is so creative, so unique. This place combines my two favorite things - Asian cuisine and pizza. Cannot recommend this spot enough. We’ll def be back.
Only callout is that this place does the “Trader Joes during Covid” approach where you have to line up outside and they let you in one by one. This is likely because of their popularity and small space, so be prepared and get there before they open.
I think next steps for Hapa Pizza should
Be to expend to a bigger space. They definitely have the demand for it. This space rocks.”
“Parking was a pain in the rear, but that's the only negative thing I have to say.
We ordered a few rolls and a chirashi, and want to come back just to try more. The rolls were decent size and the chirashi had plenty of fish, all feeling fresh.
Definitely recommend this place, even in between the surrounding restaurants.”

“The sushi and sashimi are excellent here, and the toro is quite reasonably priced. Almost everything I've had here has tested great, especially the donburi and grilled fish.
My only disappointment has been the ramen: the broth is mediocre and the noodles are not fresh.”
“I came in here for lunch after seeing the impeccable reviews and was served by the owner’s and Angel. Everything, and I mean everything, was phenomenal; food, atmosphere, cleanliness, service. I got the carne asada plate and it was fresh, large portions, lots of meat, fresh tomatoes and avocado. I will definitely be back and strongly encourage others to try this place out.”
“Wow! We’ve lived in this area for 3 years and somehow just discovered this restaurant! 😍
Noa Sushi is definitely one of the best Japanese restaurants in Beaverton—or I have to say, one of the best in Portland! 🍣
Everything was so fresh, delicious, and high quality. The staff was also very friendly and welcoming. And I especially love that the chef is Japanese—that makes the experience feel even more authentic. 🇯🇵
We absolutely loved it and will definitely be back! Highly recommend! ❤️🍣”

“I writhing this to let everyone know that Oyatsupan Bakers (specifically Beaverton store) is my go to place. A little background, my wife last Christmas went through a very serious set of surgeries that kept her in the hospital for a month. We preordered the Christmas set thinking we were both going to be able to enjoy it. Unfortunately I was the only one to fully enjoy the set (which was amazing btw) when I picked it up I was upset that I couldn't share it with my wife. Fast forward to today we preordered the 4th of July set . When I picked it up they remembered us! The woman who handed it to me said she hopes that my wife can enjoy it this time because she recalled our previous business. It was such a kind gesture I was speechless and could only say thank you. I have never felt more seen and cared for from any business Ive visited before. So THANK YOU Oyatsupan in Beaverton you made my day and you have a customer for life! 💗”

“I'm not vegan in any way shape or form. I don't hate on it either. I'm just someone who likes food and hot damn it's good. The sauces as well? Amazing. They have great drink menus as well. I don't want to have to convince people that there are millions of ways to eat. There's also millions of varying ideas on what people like. Maybe billions. What I'm trying to say is, try everything once. If you don't, you may never find that one thing you find so special to eat. This place is a gem.”
“very professional when dealing with clout chasing rage baiters.”
“Fantastic experience! The sushi was incredibly fresh and delicious, and the Mama San provided outstanding service. She was welcoming, attentive, and made the entire meal even better. Great food, great atmosphere, and even better hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!”

“First time in, no idea what to order. Stacy was our server and helped me pick something. It was delicious. Oregon Deluxe with chicken. Service was excellent. Warm and welcoming. We also had service provided by Marcel. Very polite and attentive. Definitely going back. If you've never had the ramen experience, this is the place to go. I was taken by a seasoned ramen enthusiast. He loves it so much, he's eating there again tonight!”
“Appreciate the ability to reserve a table...especially on a nice day. Salad was fresh and enjoyed the whole green olives. Several fun board options but with they came with fresh fruit. The best thing we ate was the melted birdie and honey app. So delicious. Tuxedo cake was a little fudgy but still good. Red wines were solid with thw standout being the Maeli 2021.”

“Had Camila’s for the first time today and I tried the Carne Asada burrito and a Al Pastor taco. They were both very good. The asada burrito had a very good amount of meat and was seasoned well. The Al Pastor is the best I’ve had around the Hillsboro/Beaverton/Aloha area! The owners working the truck were very friendly and you could tell they liked what they were doing. Highly recommend!”
“Nice interior, good wine. Didn’t try food this first time, and sat at the bar for a glass of wine. Observed that most of staff looked unenthusiastic and very few smiling—including the manager who was dressed like a lumberjack. (A bit weird for what is being touted as a “French restaurant.”). We’ll try dinner next time and hope for the best.”
“Wonderful night for our 35th anniversary! Everything was beyond great 😊 We have been coming here at least once a year for a special dinner, it’s ALWAYS awesome, this time exceeded even more. The food was wonderful, service wonderful and just a really memorable dinner! Thank you Decarli’s!”
“I’ve been coming to JCD Korean BBQ for almost a year now, and I’ve loved it from the very first visit. The food is absolutely amazing, and even after trying other Korean BBQ restaurants, nothing compares to JCD. The quality, flavor, and overall experience keep us coming back every time.
What truly sets this place apart is the staff. Everyone is so welcoming, friendly, and attentive, making every visit feel special. This was my second time celebrating my birthday here, and they went above and beyond by gifting me an awesome shirt, which made the experience even more memorable.
If you’re looking for incredible food and outstanding service, I can’t recommend JCD enough. We’ll definitely be back again soon!”
“My partner and I are vegan and we let the owner of this food cart know this, and he completed curated our experience. Their food is incredible, big servings, and the owner suggested multiple sides to add to our meal. I love mango lassi but it’s not vegan, and owner found a way to make it vegan for me. 10/10, incredible staff and very vegan friendly. Worth the drive out of PDX!”

“I love going to IHOP. Food is always fresh tasty. Servers are attentive coffee carafine is a great idea keeps coffee hot and you don't need to wait for a refill. Over all of I want nitrous and filing breakfast this will hit the spot. I didn't know till today they also have burgers and even t bone steak. Who knew.”
“This was our first time here and certainly won't be the last. The ambiance, service and cuisine made for a marvelous evening. We enjoyed decadent salads (Swiss Chef and Beets with gorgonzola) The dessert was divine, and like our salads, the portions were generous and the quality of ingredients were excellent. We feasted on a double berry tart a la mode. its presentation was photo worthy. All food had an artistic presentation. We were so impressed 👏”
“I am very picky with my reviews, but this place is just...wow! It's been a while that I've ate food at a restaurant that just made me smile after the first bite. The seasoning and spice of the house noodles was just spot on. My partners ramen was packed with flavor that instantly warmed her body and soul. This was an instant hit. It's a must try. The service and the music just add to the overall positive experience. I'll be back for sure!”

“This is the best chicken. I am possibly the most indecisive person ever. Dave’s has 4 options. The amazingness of amazing that is can not be expressed in words. The chicken is always cooked amazingly and the workers are friendly. I introduced all of my friends and family to Dave’s and now we have it far more than I care to admit. Best love yo eat for a picky eater and an indecisive one.”
“Fantastic experience! The sushi was incredibly fresh and delicious, and the Mama San provided outstanding service. She was welcoming, attentive, and made the entire meal even better. Great food, great atmosphere, and even better hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!”
“The mushroom asada taquitos are 🔥🔥.
Excellent layers of flavors, and exquisite by itself. 2 choices of salsas were an amazing addition to the flavor and heat palate.
Attentive and friendly service. All around a wonderful experience. Will be returning and bringing everyone I know. 😂”
“The fish is fresh, amazing variety in terms of customizations, but what really set this place apart is the phenomenal customer service provided by Mari. Very welcoming presence, engaging, and patient as she walked us through our first time there. People in the industry should model her approach.”

“I was looking for a new coffee from a local place and I stumbled upon thortons. Great little place with a walk up window. I purchased a couple bags of beans and took home to try. This is one of the most amazing roasts I've tried. it's definitely in my rotation now.”

“Delicious sourdough crust, fresh ingredients, friendly staff! Nice selection of beverages, also. We sat outside on a little picnic table and enjoyed the blossoming trees across the street. 👍👍”
“Delicious hummus, naan and lamb. Wonderful cocktails. Friendly and helpful staff.”

“My husband and I tried this spot for the 1st time tonight and were highly impressed. The staff were both amazing, service was EXCELLENT, and the food was probably the best I’ve had since moving to Oregon 2 years ago. And the place was super cute and clean. Thank you so much! We will definitely be adding this to our rotation.”
“Visited this great new addition to our neighborhood in SW Portland. Have tried the Taco Supreme, Quesadilla, and Cochinita Tacos and look forward to working my way through the other items on the menu. The Cochinita dishes showcase wonderful delicious shredded pork as the protein. The Horchata was also extremely well made and one of the best I've had in Portland. Mama Chio Rocks!”
“La Provence in Beaverton is our favorite location in this excellent chain, and we always enjoy their wonderful food when we are visiting the area. Their bakery has suppled us with many welcomed hostess or celebration gifts (oh, those macarons!) over the years. The staff is excellent as well (hi, Cory, thanks again!). Highly recommended.”

“So good!!!! We arrived shortly after they opened on a Saturday and there was no wait at all. Our food came out quickly, huge portions, delicious. Very traditional Japanese food. We got the karaage omu-curry and the aji fry bento. Especially loved the side of torijiru (soup) that came with the bento. Definitely one of our regular dinner spots. Highly recommend!”

“Exceptionally delicious, a true gem, and with chef/owners who are even nicer. Their classic Mexican fare is both familiar and surprising, full of special touches and a signature attention to detail that makes each and every dish shine. For just one example, the chicken enchiladas plate is prepared bone-in – two massive drumsticks star on a plate where nothing plays backup. The meat is succulent, full of flavor, and fall-off-the-bone tender. Served with potatoes, avocado, fresh and pickled veg... It’s fantastic, balanced, and craveable. The birria in any incarnation is also super solid. We come back so often, we will eventually make it through the whole menu. But we’re stuck on our favorites, so it will take us a very long time before we reach the end. DO NOT SLEEP ON THEIR INSANELY GOOD SEASONAL CHAMPURRADO.”
“I had Momo for the first time ever just a few weeks ago at the Hillsboro farmers market. They were absolutely delightful and the spicy sauce had good flavor and the perfect amount of heat. We were fortunate to catch them again this part weekend at the Diwali event and they were every bit as tasty. Highly recommend and we will definitely be having these again!”
“Food was amazing and friendly staff! I’d definitely recommend this place!”

“If you're looking for a place where the food is matched only by the warmth of the people serving it, Pataka is a must-visit. The hospitality made us feel like honored guests from the moment we walked in. Every recommendation was spot on—the Chicken 65 was perfectly crisp with bold flavors, the Corn Masala was rich, buttery, and incredibly addictive, and the Hyderabadi Dum Biryani was fragrant, authentic, and packed with layers of flavor. It's rare to find a restaurant that delivers both exceptional service and unforgettable food, but Pataka truly does. We'll definitely be back!”

“Very good food! They brought free champagne and an ice cream sundae for my daughter’s birthday. Nice atmosphere! Great service!”
“This spot is an absolute gem! We ordered a big spread—the spicy Dubu Kimchi (tofu & pork), sizzling spicy beef soup, crispy grilled fish, and dumplings were all packed with rich, authentic flavor.
Generous portions, fresh banchan (side dishes), and warm, cozy vibes. Piping hot and delicious from start to finish.
Sorry of the photo because the food were too good that I have to eat first , can't wait”

“Staged a good-sized wine dinner in the private room (34 people). Fantastic food & service, even with a full restaurant on a busy Sunday night. Michael and his team do a wonderful job- all the dishes were beautiful, inventive, and delicious. Don't sleep on the "Olive Oil Cake" for dessert- your taste-buds and waistband will thank you.”
“Authentic Japanese Izakaya found in an unlikely location. The menu is organized for a drinking session with the ramen followed only by dessert, but one can have a great time mixing and matching dishes. More interesting choices include squid shiokara, which is fermented, and considered an aquired taste even in Japan. Come hungry, because you will want to try everything.”
“Absolutely loved this place! The homemade tortillas were incredible, and I was so happy to see delicious vegan options on the menu. My mocktail was amazing, and they have so many fun drink choices for everyone. Service was also elite!
Highly recommend stopping by!”
“Wonderful neighborhood bar. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Amazing assortment of drinks. Atmosphere is fantastic. Food is great. Highly recommended.”
“Great place!!! Will definitely be visiting again. The food was amazing and service was great.”
“My friend took me here, because he said it’s the real deal. When I walked in, the environment was extremely welcoming and warm. I’ve been not eating meat for a long time, but the hot stone bibim box looked so good I gave in and ordered it. It came out extremely fast right after all the side dishes. It was steaming hot and to die for.”
“Awesome food great service. Whenever we make it down here this is a must to go to eat”
“again and again looove eating here. Thanking our server MARGORIE for an excellent service 😍😍😍”
“Me and my boyfriend came in for lunch and our Server Skarlett was the absolute sweetest.
She was super nice and always made sure we were taken care of. Whenever she came by she would talk with us and make us laugh. We will definitely come back just to have her as our server again!”
“Listen, this is the best place to eat on the planet. My boyfriend showed me this location a few months ago and mentioned that he actually went to Chang’s when it first opened back in 89’ in downtown Portland and has followed it around since. My exact thoughts were, “where have you been my entire life?” We try to eat here at least once a week (sometimes twice) and I honestly can’t get enough (although I can barely go back for seconds most of the time)! You guys rock! EXCELLENT SERVICE! EXCELLENT FOOD! There’s not a single thing negative about this place, PERIOD. 💖💖💖”
“Fantastic food. EVERYTHING is great including the service. The Thai iced tea is amazing”
“Went here with some friends a few weeks ago and absolutely LOVED it, everything is at the buffet except the main meats so the vegan in our party had a great time. Also, little to not risk of food waste as you can get only as much as you want. Flushing is very cool and it was a great time”
“Jen is absolutely fantastic! We got our wedding cake from here & through every step of the process she was responsive and helpful. Her cakes are absolutely delicious (the best I’ve had in my entire life) and she brought the vision of our wedding cake to life beautifully. Her flavors are rich, the cake is moist, and her frosting balances out everything so well. We had the hardest time deciding on our wedding cake flavor because every sample she provided us was THAT good!! You cannot go wrong with Jen for any of your baked good needs. Whenever we need a cake in the future, Jen will be our first call. Thank you so much, Jen. Owen and I are so grateful we worked with you for such a special day.”
“Always the best sushi, miso, and my kiddos love the bento box, comes with a cute orange cut into a panda face! Staff and owners are very friendly too 🍣”
“Love this place! Excellent food and great prices — there’s a reason they have been in business here for decades! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“We went to Hillside Pub last Sunday night and once again, they did not disappoint. Gail was our server and honestly she's the best! On top of everything all night, drinks were perfect, food came out fast and tasted great. Never had to chase anyone down for anything.
We had Gail on Easter too and she was just as impressive. It's just that kind of place, relaxed vibe, good food, good drinks, and staff that actually cares.
Solid 5 stars. We'll be back for sure!”
“My local. Calm, warm, extraordinary beer (sit down and take home), indoor and outdoor options, cool locale near an office park. Some scheduled food trucks & bring your own makes it even more homey!”
“every state and city needs to have a resturant like this, delicious meat and burgers! i highly recommend this place and definitely go for dessert! thanks Oswego!”
“I came to this restaurant by myself to try it out before recommending it to my hubby. He loves a good Dragon Roll, so I tried it and was impressed by how good it tasted! The fish was fresh. I also got an Alaska Roll and you can taste quality of the fish. My rolls did not break so the rice was always intact. Will definitely be coming back!”
“They are amazing. Had a little trouble trying to book my daughter’s 18th birthday party but the manager got us all taken care of. We had her party tonight and it was an amazing time. Customer service was great. Thank you.”
“I’ve ordered delivery from Thai Bloom before and really love their food, but I’ve never dined at the restaurant. A couple of friends and I met up for happy hour. It was our first time meeting there. We were originally seated on the restaurant side and when we asked about the happy hour menu we were moved to the bar area. There were no tables available but we were told we could sit at the bar until a table became available. A table freed up, so we moved to it. No sooner did we sit down when a woman (the bar hostess?) approached us and said we couldn’t sit there that it was for another group. We explained that we were told to wait at the bar for a table to free up, and she said we needed to tell her. We didn’t know about her, so why would we tell her? Even the bartender didn’t know we needed to go through her to sit at a table. It just felt to me like nobody knew what the procedures were except this one woman. She was rude and I will think twice about going there again. On a positive note, all other staff we interacted with were very polite and friendly and the food was wonderful. They have a really good happy hour menu at really good prices.”
“Heard from the staff member that Bluto’s opened in October 2025 then it was closed for renovations due to the fire. Staff member also told me that the owner also owned Grassa
Italian chain restaurant in Portland and Vancouver water front.
Beautifully decorated and super clean 👍
Excellent Greek food.
We ordered artichoke hummus, pork chops and fries, broccolini salad and lamb skewer. They are all so yummy.
Very courteous service staff members especially Ella and Ruby .
Highly recommend if you like Greek food ❤”
“Thank you for catering our Washinton County Bilingual Early Educator Training. Multiple teachers shared that Casa Lola offered the most authentic Mexican food they had tasted in years. It transported them back to childhood. They can't wait to visit the restaurant. Carlos Cortez and team, you are appreciated!!!”
“This is my favorite gambling spot in the area I like the vibe and the attendants are all great!! Plus they make a killer chili-dog. And I win here fairly frequently.”
“Wonderful restaurant, the staff is very nice and welcoming. Food was amazinghats off to all the chefs they know how to do it right. Great team you have. Will be back very soon”
“My family loves this place. Seriously. I frequent the goodwill next door and while it was closed, I would drive by with a huge sad face, wishing it would reopen. My husband and I for the most part make our food at home, but since Taste of Sichuan has been open again, we’ve been maybe 15 times already 😂 and we have showed plenty of friends and family who love it just as much as we do. We have yet to find a Chinese restaurant as delicious as this. We’re so grateful they are open again!”
“Food was awesome, service was excellent. taphouse was clean and very nice inside. The only drawback, a child's sport after season party. All the yelling and screaming and the kids running through the restaurant, back and forth our entire meal, was unbelievable. Wrong place for this type of party. I blame the parents and management for allowing this fiasco to happen. I would hope they wouldn't accept this type of party in the future during dinner hours.”
“I met a friend for drinks at Flora on a Friday evening around 6pm and the person who helped us the majority of the evening was Alex. Alex was so incredibly helpful and kind, walked us through the menu, recommended different cocktails, even gave us a taster of one of the liqueurs that we were curious about, and generally made the experience really friendly and fun. The cocktails were delicious! The food menu upstairs is pretty limited, so I ordered the Girl Dinner (salad and fries, both were tasty) but it took long enough to get it to me that they ended up comping it entirely which was very nice. Overall, it's definitely a vibe! The music is pretty loud and you may have to wait for your food, but it's a fun spot to try with good cocktails, and the folks running it are super nice and very communicative.”
“Great place to get good cheap food and top shelf drinks as well as play some keno and video poker. Staff was super friendly and nicest delivery guy ive ever met”
“I live in Nebraska and have been to Oregon twice, ate here both times and absolutely love it. Their breakfast bowls are amazing, but the coffee cake is what made me come back. I had the princess coffee last time, SO SO DELICIOUS. And this time I tried the gluten free coconut and pecan coffee cake. *be sure to have them warm it up first* If I lived here it would dangerous. I’d definitely eat here weekly.”
“This restaurant is dirty and the food is terrible. The service sucks and I saw the manager yelling at delivery people very rudely. I will never go to this place again!”
“Super fresh fish, beautiful presentation. Our favorite sushi spot these days!”
“First Visit and my server, Kennedy was warm, friendly, helpful, and offered great suggestions on food and drink during Happy Hour! Got the Sliders and a huckleberry kamakazi. Both were good and just right for an early dinner.
The place could use a good face lift as it's very dark inside and appears dated. It doesn't feel warm or inviting. Small outdoor patio is OK, yet not much to the vibe there either.
Food and drinks are worth the trip so go support this place!”
“Dinner was good. The outdoor space was nice. It seemed that takeout orders went out swiftly, while we did have to wait a bit. We didn't mind terribly, but it did make you question priority when at least 10 orders went out the door while we were waiting on service. But the waiter was nice, food was good and we enjoyed the outdoor eating space. Will return.”
“It's always a premium sushi experience. Interesting flavors, cocktails, and I always recommend mixing it up and trying new things. Favorites include the spicy tuna crispy rice, green machine, salmon flight, Negihama roll, and the King Salmon Nigiri with yakumi. You can't really miss here, only thing I would ding is the signature sashimis are a bit pricy and it's not a quiet romantic place but rather volume driven but food and service are excellent! Make sure to reserve a table they can get busy often:)”
“Celebrated our friends birthday here last Saturday and we all had a blast.”
“We stumbled upon this place while visiting from out of state. It was one of the best buffets that we have been to. Very clean and bright. The sushi selection was amazing. Plus the tempura wasn't too greasy. My toddler gobbled up the fish tempura. And the price is very reasonable, I think about $20 for lunch, $30 for dinner for adults. Service was great. Water tasted good (unlike other places where the water tastes too tap). I starred this place on google maps so I can return the next time I'm in Oregon.”
“Fantastic food, friendly staff, decent prices! We saw some guy harassing the hostess about having to wear a mask, and she handled the situation very professionally.”
“Really enjoyed my meal at Dough Zone. I tried the cucumber salad, cold noodles, and pan-fried wontons, and everything was delicious.
The cucumber salad was fresh, crunchy, and refreshing such a great way to start the meal. The cold noodles were flavorful and had a nice balance of savory and tangy flavors. But my favorite was definitely the pan-fried wontons—crispy on the bottom, juicy inside, and so satisfying!
The food came out quickly, and it’s a great spot when you’re craving dumplings and Chinese comfort food without wanting anything too heavy. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu!”
“By far and away, my most favorite eatery in Portland. Fried rice spam bowl is my favorite!! But their Kahlua pig and Shoyu chicken are top notch too. Friendly staff, and safe space. Mahalo Plenty.”
“Advanced Chinese-style robotic technology, clean, fast. etc. Food is okay to good, small and pricey items. All live service is super friendly and available if you don't want to work.”
“Sam is an awesome chef and showman! The food is consistent and always enjoyable.”
“SOOOO GOOD! High quality, fresh & ready when they say it'll be done. Super easy to order online. The flavors are perfect!”

“We love Beaverton Red Robin! Tonight Heidi, one of the managers, waited on us. She was so attentive, friendly, and made us so happy to be there! She made sure we had bottomless fries and sodas, and broccoli! We see her a lot when we are there and she is always smiling and friendly, not just to us, but with the servers. The food is always good, too!”

“First time being here. Best strip club i have ever been to.Some friends and i went in on a friday night, wow!! Drinks are a little pricey, but well worth it. The ladies were pretty and they had some dancers that actually use the pole, But what stood out to all of us, was the D.J./M.C., This guy was the s**** It wasn't just the music, this guy was so funny, and bad a*** he made us, and it seemed like he made everyone else in the club feel like we belonged there.Kudos to the Dolphin!! WE WILL MOST DEFINATELY BE BACK!!! F*** YEAH!”
“First time trying & don't know what took me so long. I'm a big fan of Katsu Chicken but rarely order it especially if done with chicken breast. It's rare to find chicken breast not overly dry so avoid ordering it. They told me they use thigh meat for all their dishes so went with it. This was wonderful, cooked to perfection, & a huge amount of food. I will be eating on it for two days. The place was super clean & put the food out quickly. I can't wait to try some of their other dishes.”
“First time visited. Food was very fresh, good size portions, place was very clean, and the man who took our order was very friendly. We ate in but had a to go order and they timed it just right so when we walked out the door we had a hot to go order, we were impressed.”
“We love John's Incredible Pizza! It's our go-to buffet. Love the different rooms where we can dine. Sit by the fireplace in the quiet cabin room, watch a game in the sports room, or a favorite cartoon in one of the kids' rooms. Go with just hubby or the grandkids. So fun! We really miss it! Hoping the "now hiring" sign on the Beaverton John's means that it will be opening again soon.”
“I live walking distance to SI coffee shop and when I enter there is such a nice vibe. There are a great selection of coffee drinks and delightful pastries. Although I frequent a few shops, this one has been the first I went to when I moved from SF. The staff are nice, esp. Josiah, who is always there greeting you with a smile. You rock, Josiah!”
“Happy to have this place in my neighborhood ---- come here at least twice a week for hot/spicy Shrimp-----have never been disappointed----many teriyaki places in the area are just awful because of lack of seasoning or too many huge onion pieces but this place gets it just right in all ways”

“I come to this particular Black Bear every year because it is the one nearest to the hotel nearest to where my dad lives. I go to a Black Bear Diner pretty often, and this one is up to the same high standards as basically all the others I've visited. This visit, however, was not to see my dad but to go to his funeral. It was a really rough day today. I could hardly leave the hotel room. But when I did, and I sat there just reading for a bit over a hamburger, listening to nothing in particular, my waiter was very helpful and attentive despite there seeming to be a lot of people and not enough waiters. He had no way of knowing that today was one of the hardest days in my life. He was kind, attentive, and engaged me in a brief conversation in a natural way without it being forced. I sat for a bit after my meal and had refills for another half hour, until just after closing time. My waiter's name is Ethan. Melissa told me that while she wasn't the manager, I should put a review up online so that my compliment gets back to him. I don't know if I will be back here any time soon. If I am, I will hope to see Ethan, who just did his job and who was genuine.”
“We visited our son two weeks ago and he took us here. The food was absolutely delicious and the manager/owner was so friendly and gracious. We sampled the walnut baklava along with the pistachio and both were amazing. We were completely stuffed and enjoyed our dinner there. Would highly recommend!”

“I'm not a chai person, but my mom is obsessed with this place!! it's got such an amazing atmosphere, and it's kid friendly which I adore. Their vanilla latte is spectacular, and the staff are friendly. When I was at the end of my most recent pregnancy, I stopped in and the owner was very kind and compassionate. I felt very seen after that conversation about my pregnancy and the health system. I cannot recommend this place enough to chai lovers, people who love supporting local, and anyone who wants a place to go with a community atmosphere ❤️”
“Freshly-prepared dishes, large menu with plenty of variety, great portion sizes. On the pricier side for fresh/fast Korean at about $17-20.per dish. We ordered 4 things to share, a side of rice, and two Cokes which came to $85 and change, including tip.
I really enjoyed the Korean-style deep fried whole chicken, which was smaller than the average hen you get at the market. This was closer to the size of a very large Cornish game hen, and perfectly cooked with the lightest, crispiest crunch on the exterior. It didn't come with rice, so I ordered a side. It does come with a nice pickled radish, a dressed, shredded cabbage slaw, and two enhancements: fine salt/pepper blend, and a sweet, spicy chile sauce. I'll definitely be back for this chicken again. Delicious. 5/5
My friend ordered the pork katsu with cheese over steamed rice, which came with slaw and mac salad. I thought this just ok. The batter was a little thick and, although everything was served hot, biting into the pork was a bit tough as it was on the chewy side. It might have been re-fried after being prepared earlier. This is usually fine, if done properly. The cheese was generous and good. A little salt and a spot of Katsu sauce was the perfect complement. 3/5
We also shared the Rose Toekkbokki, which comes with soft, chewy rice cakes, fish cake strips, thinly-sliced hot dog, tofu squares, green onion, and a weird addition a small amount of iceburg lettuce-I removed it because it was wilted and added nothing. Oh, and a hard-boiled egg (it was chalky, unfortunately.) The sauce was creamy and mild, with the tiniest hint of heat from the gochujong. It was good, but I've had better versions of this dish, including my own. Worth a try if you've never had toekkbokki before. 3/5
Finally, I ordered the japchae with thinly sliced beef and cabbage to go. Although there wasn't much protein, the noodles were flavorful and prepared well. I love japchae, so I'll enjoy this with an egg and some smokey beef rib at home later. 4/5
The atmosphere was cozy on a rainy day in the PNW. It felt like a home kitchen. Service was fair. Our server greeted us immediately, and we were seated with water right away. She gave us plenty of time to decide, and then quickly took our orders. There was only one server(also the hostess) who appeared to be a little overwhelmed, but that's to be expected pretty much anywhere these days. It felt like a mom and pop restaurant with their daughter doing the greet, seat, and table service, including bussing. Despite the hefty price tag for lunch, I made sure to tip well.
I'd like to visit again and try some other dishes, but price is a factor. That said, this might be a better place for a group of 4 or 6 people. That way, everyone can pitch in and try different dishes, which makes it fun and more affordable.”
“We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and delicious flavors of Teriyaki Moto! My daughter got the kids marinated chicken which she devoured. This is the same kid who typically picks through each meal and never finishes her plate. My husband got the lemongrass burger and I got the banh mi style beef sandwich both were excellent!! Tots were delicious but the star of the meal were the spring rolls. I usually think of spring rolls being soggy greasy things but these were light crispy and I wanted more! Both the pork ones and the pizza ones were unique and I recommend them.
The atmospheric is open air casual. Service was awesome and don’t miss out on their homemade chili oil.
We will be back!!”
“Yummy strong, spicy chai here with quite a few non dairy milk options. Try the churro flavoring syrup! The atmosphere is fantastic. I would definitely come in to work or meet a friend - the little couch area is especially cozy and inviting. Baristas were all super friendly and talented - they moved fast! Despite the line, I was in and out.”
“Phin Caphe & Boba is an absolute gem! I recently stopped by and was blown away by the quality of their drinks. The iced coffees are spectacular—rich, smooth, and full of flavor. Their bubble teas are easily some of the best I've had, with great taste and perfectly cooked boba.
What really stands out is their huge variety of cold drinks, so there's something for everyone, whether you're in the mood for coffee, tea, or a refreshing specialty beverage. The drinks are consistently delicious, and the service is friendly and welcoming.
If you're a fan of iced coffee or boba, this place is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!”
“I eat here roughly every week and let me just tell you, it's the best Mexican food you will get in the Portland Metro area. Everything is absolutely top quality and made with so much love. I highly recommend the birria tacos, and ask for the orange salsa. The service here is amazing, Elizabeth feels like a family member to me at this point. Do not pass this place by, it is WONDERFUL. 5 STARS, 100/10, PERFECTION.”
“Of all the cities I have eaten sushi in 40 years including Tokyo London New York Los Angeles and too many others to list, THIS IS THE BEST I HAVE EVER ENJOYED!!”
