“The food here is delicious! They give great sized portions and the food is reasonably priced. We will definitely be back. The only negative is that the floor is a tile floor and the grout is really dirty. But the tables chairs and all the condiment containers have been wiped down thoroughly and are clean.”
“I was in Tigard to visit grandkids for Christmas and stayed nearby. Shari’s has always been good but the breakfast I had yesterday with my granddaughter and my breakfast this morning before heading to the airport were outstanding! That’s how you make hash browns, that’s how you make eggs, and idk how they make it so good but the coffee is the best anywhere, for real. The servers and Toni, whom I believe may be the owner or certainly a manager, are all wonderful people and I highly recommend this Shari’s. Treat yourself and ride out there for a meal. Merry Christmas!Kid-friendliness: My granddaughter had a ball. Everybody was sweet to her.”
“I love Dairy Queen. Good food, great ice cream, generally pretty good service, and they have a veteran discount. Thank you DQ!Kid-friendliness: They have ice cream, enough said.”
“Just had one of the best experiences of my life at Lilia. Do yourself a favor and do NOT miss the tasting menu, which rotates weekly. It was an incredible value, and more importantly there was not one single disappointing dish in the 8-course lineup. Some stand outs were the amberjack crudo in aguachile: the fish was incredible and cut so pretty, and the aguachile was just the brightest and tastiest i’ve ever had. The quesadilla with huitlacoche, sprouting broccoli and marinated radish: never having tried huitlacoche I was shocked at how decadent and rich it tasted… every flavor in the dish worked like magic with the others. The pork collar: as soon as I touched a piece of the pork collar confit it fell apart under my fork, cooked to perfection. Like the carnitas of your dreams. And the chocolate & salted hazelnut tart with kumquats: probably the most interesting combinations of flavors and textures in any dessert I’ve tried… the kind of experience that’s just delightful every time you take another bite. Every dish was just a surprising explosion of flavors and beauty. This is exciting food. Absolutely no letdowns with the service (every staff member was enthusiastic and knowledgeable) and the ambience as well, but the food is truly mind-blowing.Vegetarian options: Every ingredient is treated like the star in these dishes, which means the vegetarian dishes were a burst of flavor, spice and texture. I had the roasted fennel with fennel harissa and the white asparagus with salsa pipián, pickled rhubarb and morel mushrooms and both were just excellent.”
“Have to order everything at once. Kind of felt rushed by our waiter even though we were trying to enjoy some bubbles and catch up as we looked at our menus. Tasted practically everything on the menu. Would be nice if we could have just ordered a dish while we browsed the menu rather than being hounded to order.”
“Found this place randomly when my boyfriend and I couldn’t decide between pizza and Asian food for dinner. We wondered if there was only a place that could do both and lo and behold we stumbled upon this place! Great atmosphere and the pizzas were delicious! We’re looking forward to coming back to try the other pizzas they have. We ordered the Pho and Meat Lovers pizzas. The crust is very tasty and has a good amount of chew. The one thing we would’ve liked more was cheese on the pizza but we’re also biased towards extra cheese. I think the Pho pizza is needing a little bit of acidity somewhere to round out the taste (maybe lime juice?) but definitely recommend! The staff were super nice and welcoming and helped us decide between what pizza to get. Great service!Parking: They have a small lot behind the building with about a dozen spots and then street parking across the street.”
“Rare place that...has fantastic Mediterranean food and is a super-fun, energetic-night-clubby atmosphere. Everything is done well, and the cocktails and wine are amazing.”
“My wife and I love this place. Small little restaurant with great food. We have been once or twice where they wanted reservations and other nights were we could get a table no problem.”
“A unique touch on Mexican which tasted fantastic. First time eating out dinner in Portland and no regrets. The service was amazing and the waiters knew the menu very well. Definitely a place worthy of booking! We ordered the full menu and every dish was very well plated. The chicken and the birria were the highlights for me but worthy of trying the entire menu!”
“unique flavors, super friendly staff and a good place to go if you have food allergies- they take extra care to scoop out of a new pint in the back for no contamination!”
“Once again Yalla has hit the mark. The food is delicious from the hummus and fresh pita bread to the corn bread to the fried chicken (also had the brussel sprouts, beef short ribs and pastrami). The service is stellar and the atmosphere is upbeat but not loud, intimate but not crowded. I would recommend Yalla without question.”
“Great energy in this place every time, and I always have at least one dish that is one of the best versions of _____ I've ever had. Last night, it was the Apple Salad which was one of the best salads I've literally ever had.”
“I had such a lovely Chicken Tagine at the Kasbah Moroccan Cafe today. The owner/chef was personable and the restaurant was clean with a nice atmosphere. The mint tea was wonderful, too, and I loved the whimsical tea-cozy felt. I'll definitely come back next time I'm visiting Portland!”
“Truly excellent! We loved every dish, our server recommended a really good cocktail, and it was very cozy and cute inside. Just left and already looking forward to going back again!”
“Great tasting coffee served from a cute kiosk by friendly people. Perfect! I had the tiramisu coffee, which wasn't overly sweet and had great flavor with a delicious cream and cinnamon top.”
“The food was excellent :)It just became our favorite place on campus!+) My husband had Tomyum salmon, and I had Aburi salmon donKid-friendliness: They didn't have a highchair”
“The atmosphere of this place was SO inviting and seemed to encourage conversation with your neighboring tables. The service was friendly and informative. And, most importantly, our breakfast was delicious. We plan to go back over and over again!”
“This place is so good!!! We got the chicken burrito and steak burrito. They were big enough to split between the 3 of us. The taste of them both were top notch. Seriously excellent taste. Fresh handmade tortillas??? Yo, you’re trippin if you think this place is mid. Will definitely be coming back to try the habanero sauce. Tried the red and green and was blown away with the flavor for both. Highly recommend!!!”
“We traveled from out of state to eat at this place and we were not disappointed! Ordered ribeye/pork/fish tacos, taquitos with mushroom and tres leches cake and they were all so delicious. I will be dreaming about their food in the future.”
“Having lived for a decade in Lebanon, I'm very picky when it comes to Lebanese food. I would rather not eat it than pay for mediocre dishes. If you're the same, look no further than Al Hawr. It is, by far, the best Lebanese restaurant in Portland and could compete with the best ones back home. The staff is friendly and attentive, the owner will recognize you if you come back after one visit, and the food is out of this world. I try to take photos every time I go and end up forgetting because I just want to dig in. I was invited to look at the kitchen at the end of one dinner and it was spotless. The cheese rolls are crispy and addictive, the kibbeh is refined and tender, the meats are perfectly seasoned and cooked, the hummus is creamy, the baba ghannouj is flavorful and topped with vibrant pomegranate seeds, I could go on and on. The portions are generous and I love taking home leftovers to enjoy the next day. Parking has been super easy every time I've been. If you're looking for Lebanese food today, don't think twice and go there.”
“Nice pizza joint, friendly service and great pizzas. They have vegetarian options possibly vegan options. A little bit classier of a pizzeria than most. Friendly staff and service.Vegetarian options: They had one or two meatless pizza options. Possibly had cheese, I am not certain.”
“Service is always quick and kind. The food is excellent, fresh, unique, and caters to several different dietary restrictions. The location is convenient for workers at or near Montgomery Park, and the music is calming and chill. What an awesome spot!”
“Funky little coffee shop with a few counter seats inside serving well prepared specialty coffees of the day. Not a street facing entrance, and you can walk past it if you're heading east.”
“I actually ate at the Oregon City location in the corner fourteen food cart pod. The owner's mother Pilar was working and she was fantastic to talk with and accommodate mine and my friends requests to adjust the spice in the food and use the tupperware that I brought which is now oregon state law. I ordered the Tallarines a la Huancaína With steak, Spicy. It was a delightful combination of flavorful and creamy, well cooked pasta and perfectly accompanied by the steak tomato onion caramelized sauciness. The hot chocolate was a good sweetness And had a yummy unique spice to it. My friend ordered the ceviche without any Chile, garlic or ginger added, because she has a very low tolerance for spice. It was still very well-balanced and bright with the lime and onion and fresh fish. I can't Wait to go back and try everything else! I lived in lima and this comes as close as you can being outside of the country.”
“Highly recommend this place! Burger was AMAZING & I try MANY different PDX burgers! Curly fries were spot on! And then topped off with malted shakes... yum! We will def be back... often! Oh, the people we really friendly and helpful too, but food was so good I'd go back even if there were jerks... haha”
“Fabulous drink selection. I was struggling because I wanted one of everything, and our server suggested letting the bartender create something based on the flavors I was looking for. The result was an incredibly delicious passion fruit mezcal drink that rocked my world. They infuse some of their spirits too. One was vodka sesame, another with cardamom - super cool.Impressive tequila and mezcal selection, and still had room at the bar for a great bourbon selection too!The music was also great!Parking: Free depending upon time of dayKid-friendliness: Leave ‘em at homeWheelchair accessibility: Roll on in”
“Arden was amazing. This is my second visit, and with the new burner/range and walk ins, they are able to execute on a completely different level. The foie gras dish was stellar. They're giving Le Pigeon a run for their money there, and I hold LP in the highest regards (always will). We went with the Prix Fixe with wine pairings with the foie as an addition. The wine pairings were unique, fun and interesting, and provided something for a wine enthusiast to geek out on as well. And, most importantly, they were very complimentary to each dish adding a level that exceeds pairings of many restaurants. Dish flavors were clean and well executed. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Pacing was done well. And portions were generous. We did not experience any of the smokiness that was mentioned in other reviews. Nor was it loud, though the restaurant was reasonably full. My hunch is the ventilation with the new range alleviated any of that, though it wasn't an issue on my other visit either (before the new range). This is a Portland restaurant doing top level cuisine and should be on your list to hit. Not to mention, the bill for two of us with the addition of the foie was $251. Not cheap, but that's a $600-800 meal in NYC or elsewhere, and is why we are lucky in Portland to have access at these price levels that most other cities simply don't have. Farm to table focus as well. Highly recommended”
“Quick and friendly service, partnered with delicious food. The poké bowl and the crispy fried chicken are always a go to. I have been here a couple times and have sat inside and outside, both spaces are clean and pleasant.”
“Been coming here since they were a food cart and it remains an absolute favorite. I always know when too many weeks have passed between visits, because I start getting irrationally cranky. The Oy Gevalt! is the best meal in town. I can't describe the perfection of the latke/smoked salmon/egg/dill sauce. You can't go wrong with any of the other options either.”
“Our area needs more small businesses and especially restaurants! We wandered into Gambino's one day, and we've probably been back a half a dozen times now! It's a super cute and cozy environment, food is amazing, and service is always great! Definitely recommend trying it out, you won't be disappointed!”
